I like the 2003 anime more, but the general is one of the greatest things about Brotherhood. Also Winry. The 2003 anime did nothing with Winry, it was a shame.

I don't think I've ever hated a video game character but I like a heck of a lot of them. I think liking a character makes more sense than hating them, honestly. Hate is just....way too strong an emotion for me to have for a video game character. That's me though, not knocking anyone who seriously hates a character. You do you.
The beauty of Solas being a not real person is that though his plan is awful, you can explore and see every aspect of his personality and know that he isn't truly an evil person. That makes him incredibly interesting, and makes the idea of hating him so foreign to me. I kind of feel bad for people who can't appreciate that kind of character, because they're always so much fun! ![]()
Is it manga psyren? I was going to recommend it to you, then went to double check and saw it was shut down
Nope, talking about like, a decade ago. When I was originally reading scanlations.

Meh, love and hate are both strong emotions, and I think they both make just as much sense as the other. Although I did notice you used like ![]()
Characters can make me laugh, make me cry, make me throw fits, write fanfiction (that was Solas), stalk forum sites (that was Solas), feel really down, feel really happy optimistic, and even change my views on things or open me up to new ideas!
I'm also a terribly empathetic person though and I live vicariously through my fiction XD it's both a gift and a curse!

I know, I know, everyone prefers Brotherhood. No point in getting into an argument, and I think Brotherhood is awesome all on its own, allow me this one off-topic post to explain myself.

Well I won't argue but
Off topic and FMA spoilers
Solas has made me an emotional wreck and I've definitely never reacted as much to a game character as I have with Solas!
I think a weakness in RPG is that it doesn't really allow our characters to express ambivalence in the moment. For example, a powerful scene might be Lavellan feeling that she can only stop Solas by killing him, but the knife/weapon stops half-way because she just couldn't do it in the end. How would they implement something like that? Hmm, maybe something like mass effect where you can do a paragon or renegade action when the icon flashes? Or maybe just flashing text that only lasts for a few seconds if you want to stop your current action?
I have started up DAI to make a new character and instead replayed the end of Trespasser.
That happened to me last time. I did start the new PT afterwards though
I quit afterward since it is pretty late and I'm hoping to progress past this scene I'm still stuck on for no discernible reason.

I may or may not have done this as well. A few times. Actually.
The most recent attempt was making a Trevalyan to romance Cullen cause part of me feels bad that he's single in my Lavellan's worldstate.

I will make Cassandra a really great guy to fill her days with romance while still very much appreciating her face and other attributes as a player. ![]()
It just might have to happen during the day.
Now why am I stuck on two teenagers being affectionate and basically making out?

Some of my characters are very morally ambiguous. I'd hate to have some system keeping score of how many "good" choices I make and how many "bad" ones I do. But I agree that is one of the many issues that RPGs have. RPGs need a lot of headcanoning to get the story how you want it

Haha, I feel bad for my single characters too! I've played my Lavellan multiple times and replayed her romance scenes waaay too much, but I have yet to romance the vast majority of the single companions in Inquisition! They deserve their chance at happiness too goshdarnit!

That's another person I just don't like being single. Cassandra is like the dream come true best friend for realzzzzz.
And Bull too.
Sigh.........

Just read the latest Doughnut Rebel chapter and yours, drosophila. I expected soup. ![]()

I understand why you would've opted for what you used instead. It flows well.
The story I made the most edits to is also one of my favorite ones. Maybe my favorite. Sometimes that's what it takes.
DR is very very much feels this time but a good way.
I turned off the music. Maybe I should have left it. ![]()
Given I'm writing about 16 year olds at the moment, there's definitely fun in the mixed sweet, scary, impulsive, blindsided nature of first love. I never really intended to write about them beyond the one Solavellan story with the flashback, but I enjoyed it.

Thanks it means a lot!
I actually think something becomes my favorite chapter, *and then because of that* it gets many edits. There's just this scene that I attach strong feelings to, so that means I really want to get it right and work extra hard to do so. Last time I did this I still wasn't happy with the final result, but this time I am. However it seems to the reader, I'm declaring it: I really like my rivalicious little chapter.
It was a total roller coaster with DR, I didn't expect the chapter going where it did, but I'm so happy! And it was described so well!
I really loved how....soft? the DR chapter went, like when someone does a stripped-down arrangement of a song.
I understand that too. The story in question for me was one about Nirwen and Nehn and I really loved playing with language in there and also illustrating their personalities a bit, and it got so many edits because I was determined to get it right.
I think the ending was once in the middle, and some other part was at the end, and I cut something else entirely. But at one point, when I made the final edit, it just.....clicked. "I did it".
It's really fulfilling to truly like something you've done.
Mmmm....as I said, cheesey and fluffy, but it's Zevellan goodness.
I don't really think it's as good as the other stuff I posted so far. But meh. Made me happy I suppose.
