Yes, I reckon he admits it somewhere. Don't recall,honestly,but I always assumed he knew there will be casualities - he says the explosion was intended to kill Coryfish, but he didn't foresee the magister's ability to hop bodies.

I've purchased the two  previous DA games today. The graphics are gritting my nerves, but I want to know the story properly... my husband was imploring me to do it,  so I did in the end. But man. I am a beautiful graphics addict. Was so happy when they updated WoW models.

I think he knew that wherever Corypheus took the orb and unlocked it, there would be a massive explosion. So yes, if he tracked Corypheus to the Conclave and knew he had the orb, he would have known the people there would probably die in the shockwave of the orb being opened. An unfortunate side-effect, but I doubt he was terribly concerned, since they were all going to die when he tore down the Veil, anyways.

Aye he expected it to cause an explosion that would be powerful enough to kill Corypheus on opening it at the very least. I doubt he foresaw Corypheus taking it right into the middle of hundreds of hundreds of innocent bystanders before opening it though.

So, I'm curious about who everyone romanced in other bioware games and out of all of those romances who is your favorite:

 

DA: Alistair

DA2: Anders

DAI: Solas and Cullen

 

ME: Kaidan

ME2: nobody/Jacob (So, in my defense my first BW game was ME2. I was new to the whole romance thing and Jacob was the only one I found attractive. Anyway, despite how creepy femshep sounded when she talked to him and how awful their sex scene was, Shep persevered. And, was dumped in the next game,lol. But she didn't care as she was going to dump him for Kaidan anyway. In all subsequent playthroughs of ME2 Shep remained single and pined for Kaidan. )

ME3: Kaidan

 

My favorites are Alistair, Kaidan and Solas. But, Solas is taking the lead as all the drama is giving the feels. We'll see how DA4 goes!

While I romanced Alistair (only played DAO once because it took me so long to finish the first [completionist]), Anders, Fenris, Blackwall, Solas, Kaidan (on accident, I WAS BEING NICE) and Garrus, I only really liked Solas & Garrus, Fenris was nice, I had two playthroughs with him, but he can't compete with Solas and Garrus.

 

I romanced so little of the characters because I tend to start and finish playthroughs quickly and then starting a new playthrough is just kind of ugh because I remember everything so well.

DAI was an exception, I played it three times, 2 completionist runs, I started an assquisitor run a few days ago.

Ah, the being nice to Kaidan ninjamance has another victim.

 

I had that happen, and it was like no, Kaidan, she's not even into men. So I had the love triangle dialogue after flirting with Liara.

 

I have it in my sig but Alistair, Anders, and Solas are my canons. Solas and Liara are my favorites.

 

Sera and Cassandra romances are planned for the sake of happy. I was going to make a m!Lavellan for Cass last night but wound up replaying the end of Trespasser, so he'll be coming today. Provided I can get him to not look like a potato. I don't make men in RPGs if I have a choice.

DA:O - Alistair (I admit, I fell for him in his first scene when he was sassing that mage! Still also have a major crush on Zevran though)

DA2 - Fenris (At first I was a bit put off by his anger, but after you got to know him and got a chance to see his awkward and adorable flirting I was completely hooked forever!)

DA:I - Solas (Duh, do I need to explain? I was a bit torn between him and Cullen, but Solas won me over with his intellect and... okay, I admit it was the dialect and the amazing kissing!) 

 

ME2 - Garrus (Because he is to awesome for words!) 

ME3 - Garrus (Because he continued to be awesome and also turned out to be unexpectedly romantic)

Zev charms my socks off every single game, but then Morrigan is this adorable little cinnamon roll once you peek under the surface (f!Warden + Morrigan friendship is my favourite friendship), and then Alistair is just pure dorky loveliness and I know my first warden still has a rosebush somewhere she planted for him... basically I love all of them.

DA2: None of them. I romanced Anders and Merrill, but I'm not sure I like either, I may even go as far as to revert my canon and make my Hawke romance-less. I have a tricky love-hate relationship with Anders and whilst I'm sympathetic to him I certainly wouldn't rush to replay that relationship, and I think I prefer Merrill as a friend (I love Merrill, but I think she'd work better with someone else). Yet to try Fenris though - may change my opinion after my brand new FemHawke runs off with him.

DA:I: Solas. I also plan on romancing Sera and Cass at some point down the road. But then again, Solas.

 

ME1: Nobody.

ME2: Garrus.

ME3: Garrus.

 

My ME preferences are a lot simpler than my Dragon Age ones. I liked romancing Liara and Tali but at the end of the day I'm not gonna give up my space raptor boyfriend for anything.

You I now your pain. Every time I role a female character my romances away ends with a break up or death. Except Kaidan, Ashley was a good person, but not a good teammate.

DAO: Alistair with Tabris (canon), Zevran with Surana (beta).
DA2: Fenris with FemHawke (canon), Merrill with FemHawke (beta).
DAI: Solas with Lavellan (canon), Cullen with Lavellan (beta).

(Although I've also started a romance with Cassandra and Dorian with male Lavellans, and Josephine with Adaar. Tried Bull with a Cadash, but lost interest before Skyhold.)

I haven't played DA2, but based on YouTube and the Keep Fenris and Merrill seemed most appealing. I tend to have one canon playthrough and a second one that I love so much I consider it "beta" to my "alpha" canon playthrough. And I love elves!

Haven't finished ME yet. My best friend really wants me to romance Liara, but I've heard great things about Garrus, but I also really, really like Kaidan. I can't decide, so I'm avoiding it for now.

I think almost all of my ME playing friends who played f!Shepard romanced Garrus, except one who comes to mind who went for Kaidan. For my Shepard, Garrus was her best friend, Tali was her little sister, and Liara was her love. But it all comes down to preference and what works for your character.

I was really hard for me to play them after DA:I for the same reason but I promise it's worth it! Except the Deep Roads in DA:O. I only got through those parts by repeating WHAT THE **** over and over.

DAO (done all) - favorite is Alistair, except for the part where you need him to have sex with Morrigan so you both don't die . Zevran probably 2d favorite but I need to do it again with the dialogue fixes installed (and not flirt with Alistair the whole time as well ).

 

DA2 (done all) - favorite by far is Fenris; forced myself to finish Anders' romance . Merrill's was cute too.

 

DAI (done all except Josie and Sera) - favorites are (F) Cullen and (M) Dorian. In the main game Solas was actually my least favorite since he dumps you and it seems to have the least amount of content. Trespasser makes it even more angsty, but I'm not sure it will ever be a favorite for me. Definitely interesting though!

 

For ME trilogy, favorites are Garrus for femShep (Kaidan 2d) and Tali for broShep.
