Oh, don't worry about it :)

Yes, my favorite location comment of all times. I remember hearing it for the first time and it made me cry a little, because it was just so adorkable Solas.

I never got that one. Sunburn on your head is sooooo ouuuuuch. My part used to burn a lot. At some point I got a sunscreen stick and started using it. I can't imagine bald + sun.

*Eyes suspiciously*

Drosophila you're always the one passing out cookies, if people start getting sick we'll know who to blame!

 That is so cute! I'm glad he acknowledged it... I did wonder.

We have the cutest of cookies.

Also, so many people seem to be getting colds. I kepe thinking I was getting one too but no, it seems to just be a concentrated attack by various allergens playing a long game.

My hair is one thing that is a very obvious blend from both of my parents. My dad has fine hair and my mom's is more wavy and a bit wiry and goes in various directions. Mine is soft, kind of fine, but also wavy and, depending how cut, can go in various directions. Right now, this disappointing cut I have has such choppy layers. This morning, I awoke with very wavy hair but it has since settled a bit. I generally keep it very long so this going everywhere issue isn't an issue unless someone gives me a bad haircut. :P

I've also sent some chocolate into the blanket fort. No need to worry. -_-

Wavy hair is interesting. Mine's unfortunately very straight.

I could use some chocolate right now. Maybe I'll have some of the leftover Nutella from my Tresspasser survival kit :D

I have a lot of hair myself, but they're so fine and thin that whether they're wavy (aaalmost curly in places) or almost straight depends largely on temperature and humidity.

... Therefore sometimes it feels like they have a mind of their own

I can control it somewhat though: if I want to have mostly straight hair, I use blow-dryer after bath - and if I want to have wavy/curly-ish hair, I just let them dry on their own :D

You know.....writing fanfics takes you to some odd places for research thingys.

I'v been spending my evening watching ballroom dancing competitions. For science.

Which leads to the ultimate question.

What ballroom dance is Solas?

is it weird that I picture Solas as more of the ballet type? (I was a ballet dancer for 9 years)

and now i'll go back to lurking ... *squats and shuffles away*

I just started a new sketch but I am not sure I should continue. I am still so very bad in mobile drawing, although the 7 bucks for ArtFlow was definitely worth it.

The WIP is here.

... I am as terrible as he is in planning and subsequent results. On a... hrrrmmmmpfff. smaller scale.

I am trying to push myself through Origins now, as a mage. I wanted to play Dalish mage, but obviously, that is not an option. The Circle grits me, however. And betrayal. So much... betrayal. Cullen running off on a flirting notion however was kinda funny.

Also, I didn't intend to come out as dismissive regarding people's PC ages, if it somehow came out like that. I just cannot connect with someone way too younger than me (if played by me - not on real life personal level, that's different). Skipping 3 countries and stuff like that just doesn't let me click with someone too young, inexperienced and naive in game... All right, off to find grey hair, obviously. :)

As a person with wavy hair, all I can say is that some days I wake up and the waves are nice, like a pretty day at the ocean.

Then other days it looks like the sea before a hurricane and no amount of combing or straightening will contain them.

I was a little sick a week or so ago, but for me it's the rapid weather change. Yay fall!

Are you saying that if we get sick it's her fault... trying to put the suspicion on Cee I see. I'm watching you!

It's nice to have in the winter though! I let my hair grow out for the winter and it's like a little wind shield! Who needs scarves when you're hair is thick enough to keep out the weather?

I spend waaay too much time forcibly making my hairs straighten out with the evil flat iron from hell! And if it rains or is foogy or humid all  that trouble I went through murdering my hair was for nothing! And I don't have pretty waves either, my hair is certifiably Hermoine Granger.

I missed this discussion earlier, but I agree with you... just for the opposite. I have trouble roleplaying characters a lot older than me. I aged my Lavellan up a few years, because I thought it'd be reasonable for her to be more experienced (than say the Warden) to lead the Inquisition, but it's hard to put my self in the position of a more mature, wordly woman. It's weird though because I don't have any issues writing older characters, it's just roleplaying.

Ahaha, some of the questions I've had to explore:

  • what is the size of an average bladder and how big would Solas' be?
  • should I give  Solas first or second degree burns? how do they look? how do they heal?
  • how does one induce childbirth and what are some serious childbirth complications?
  • how do I say **** in latin?

Come back Crusher! Delurk!

I'm having trouble "delurking" as you say. For some reason I've become really bummed out about Solas, but not in an emotional way. More like I'm just resolute about his story arch. All my feels have calmed and now I'm firmly in the "welp I guess this is really depressing" state of emotional fandom whiplash. I can't really bring myself to agonize over him anymore ...

it's like ... I'm officially ok with what's happened in the DLC and his story as a whole?

I'm at peace with his character and his part in the plot, so I don't really have much left to say =3= I might later though, but right now I'm pretty chill with everything

Solavellan pumpkin carved for Halloween.

And gotta love those glitches. Solas' modesty flaps are floating right next to him. Lavellan Greatly Approves.

Second degree burns are actually much more serious than you might think. I had second degree verging on third a couple years ago all up and down my legs. I was in the hospital for 2 weeks, bed-ridden for 2 months, had 3 surgeries, and had to go through physical therapy to walk again. I lost a ton of weight due to my body having to regrow skin, and I got nasty scars all over my legs. I then couldn't be in the sunlight for 2 years.

As to how they look, my skin bubbled. The bubbles were as big as Tennis balls some of them. My skin fell off my body in sheets when I got the burn, and afterwards was pussy (apparently that word is censored), red, and extremely painful. The burns killed almost down to my nerves, so all my skin had to be taken off of me in a series of procedures down to what was alive. Afterwards, I was scarred with purplish-red blotches everywhere I was burned. It looked like zombie skin. Now it's very faded, and not nearly as horrific looking.

Burns are extremely serious. Please handle them with care in your writing :)
