Yeah.  To me it just seems like adding in Darkness (with the capital D) for the sake of being dark.
 

 

People add dubcon/noncon to the weirdest characters, especially on kinkmeme.  Like Alistair.  Useless, fuzzy apricot, can't-talk-about-sex Alistair

Now I'm starting to feel ashamed of my own (weird) kinks when it comes to Solas. (Sometimes I feel like the black sheep of this thread when it comes to those things.)

 

nooo don't. I'm fine with things as long as nothing morally wrong is implied. (I also have personal stuff that just gets on my nerves but that doesn't really matter)

dom!Lavellan actually (or dom!female in general). I've yet to find any fic with this, not that I'm looking   , and dom!Solas seems to be the most popular kink. I have a serious problem with being in compromising situations and I get really scared, so that plays into my strong opinions about Da'len Hahren and similar things. Don't be feel bad for what you like

But why condescending? In the in-game dialogue, she called him hahren first, then he replies with da'len. Also I get the feel it's not a derogatory term but just a way to address someone younger. She is younger, and at that point he probably does not expect to fall in love, and how that would be creepy in retrospect. 

 

Edit: Top Solas. I love all the screens of him casting mindblast. Solas does mindblast like nobody else. Fron Solas-an.

I guess I wasn't phased by how he looked in early concepts/screens cause like, if the concept of a character intrigues me, sign me right up. Also after romancing a space dinosaur alien bird lizard man.. a guy with MANDIBLES and A BEAK-LIKE MOUTH and a WASPY THORAX and external CARAPACE.. yeah I'm okay with some bald weird lookin elf lmfao. I just don't really care.

Seb at least has the whole (former) bad boy thing going for him.  But Alistair?  The guy who kisses you when you've been showing clear interest and then asks if that was 'too fast'?  Who has to go away until the blushing stop when you try and seduce him too early?  Mr 'It's been 10 years and he still gets that 'I can't believe a pretty girl likes me' voice when he talks about her' Alistair?

Pretty sure if my Amell and Alistair ever saw any of the dom!Alistair fanfiction floating around, she would burst her spleen laughing at him.  Their relationship is much more equitable as of DA:I than DA:O, but she's still the boss in bed

I just realized he's most likely the most powerful person period, mage or not, on Thedas as of now. That's freaking scary. Just let that sink in for a while ......

Hard to say.  He had the power before to raise the Veil, and now he has the power to tear it down.  I'd say he's at least in the same ballpark as he was before.  And certainly much stronger relative to everyone else, except maybe Valta and her Titan.

I never read much articles or interviews regarding Solas before playing DAI, and I wasn't planning on romancing him when I first got into the game. (I was going to romance Cullen.) But then I was charmed by how adorably nerdy he looked when he introduced himself to my Lavellan (having a sexy voice also helped) and so I started getting interested in him.  

 

And my sister who was a few hours ahead of me in the game and also played a Lavellan but didn't romance him warned me about him not liking the Dalish much and that made me go, "Ooooh! Possible sexual tension!" (I'm garbage I know.)

I can't imagine Alistair being dom. xD He's much too fluffy IMO. My Mahariel was definitely the dom in the relationship.
