Lol sry folks, I've posted a couple songs today in here cause I'm finally getting around to collecting together the songs I associate with my Inquisitor.

Sorry to hear about your warning points. For whatever it's worth, I think you're an absolute star for compiling all the art (whether sfw or not!) for us all to enjoy, it's much appreciated by myself, who is faaaar too lazy to go looking for it. Would be a horrible shame to see you get banned though. Up side, you have inspired me to dive into Tumblr hell. I'll be signing up later and following your blogs!

One thing that has humored me now that I have taken the dive into the deep end of fandom and starting writing stuff about my obsession......it is really weird how just one thing will take off and something else that you wrote and found hysterical like no one pays attention too.

 

Like, the Solas Recruiting Zevran thing I put up like weeks ago now has something like 700 notes on it on tumblr now.

 

I wrote another similar thing of Abelas Meeting Sera which personally I found to be more humorous and like nothing. Zero.

 

I didn't care because I gave myself a good laugh over it, just interesting how it works out sometimes though.

 

I can relate. I think it has to do with what people generally are looking for.

 

By my superficial assessment of this market, this is what people want most:

• any Solavellan fluff, and bonus points if it's funny as well
• it's better if it's also post-Tresspasser
• (smut has always been popular, of course)

I think there's some merit to that, such fics are somewhat rare and much needed in our hellspiraling community, and it is difficult to find a way to fluff and laugh your way out of Solavellan hell. 

 

But do I plan to actually follow my own guidelines? Nope. The things I've written that I care most about have generally been less well-received than anything I've written super casually. At first it's disappointing, and I have many narcissistic thoughts such as, "WTF readers, why don't you get my FEELS?!" but at least I know to dismiss them. But then when even a single person commented on something I truly cared about, the experience has been so precious to me. So I just keep writing whatever is delicious to me, this is not my livelihood, so I don't have to worry too much about what's popular and what's not.
