I only played Charrs & Sylvaris so no hair for meeeee

 

I'm so happy DA moved from DAO armors, though I still feel the cameos of certain characters should have included some.. armor upgrades..

I think you can set a collection to need approvals or you can leave it open. I haven't set one up so maybe someone else knows better.

Would second the recommendation about KMeme. I wrote a couple of things for ME's KMeme over summer (which is so much weirder). There's a lot of requests for fluffy pairing stuff, just as long as you're not put-off by reading some of the weirder and darker prompts on there, you'll be fine.

 

That said, I always found writing for an anon much scarier than someone I knew, and it didn't help me write quickly at all still, it's a great exercise.

 

 

I actually really wanna play this now ;__;. I really like mini-games or side-quests where you can play the villain, I think it'd be so cool if we could play as Solas in some variety of game.

 

I've only ever prompted in the kmeme, because there were so many weird fics to go through  . So I don't know how it's going to turn out. We shall see.

LOL. Partially that, and partially for practical reasons. I had fun designing Lavellan's awesome artificer prosthetics, but realistically, she's never going to fight quite like she did before, and it'll take her a while to regain her skill and confidence. So it'll be interesting putting Bull in the role of Big Damn Hero, and having Lavellan as support. Plus I've never really written for Bull, so it'll be a good challenge.

 

And it would probably be good to conduct the mission without revealing that she was the Inquisitor too.

I should play more GW2. My thief has some long, flowing lovely pink hair. And my main turned out to be a Norn ranger, also with some nice long hair and most frequently using a polar bear named Iorek. I miss her. May update.

I think you can set a collection to need approvals or you can leave it open. I haven't set one up so maybe someone else knows better.

 

I've set it to need moderators, but how do we judge whether something can be included in terms of posting activity on this thread? Does someone need to have posted at least 10 posts here, before they can be allowed to post their fic? Or do we just set it to members, instead of approving by fic?

I've been wanting to try GW2, now that it's gone free. Is there any way to play solo though? I don't know anyone on there and I don't want to jump into a guild (or however they're called) just because I absolutely need a group to play. I've had bad experiences with that in the past.

I stopped playing GW2 at a certain point in the main story.

They killed off Tybalt!  My beautiful, sweet, apple-loving cinnamon roll    And then gave me Trahearne, who couldn't emote if Tyria's fate depended on it   Since it was just my boyfriend and I playing together, we kind of lost interest at that point.

One of the nice things about GW2 is that co-op is fundamentally built into the game.  So you can absolutely solo your way through the main story.  For events and group quests, everyone who participates gets XP out of it, so at least when I was playing, people tended to jump in and give you a hand even if you weren't in the same party.

You can't play solo, but GW2 is friendly toward people playing solo. You can get credit for doing things just near other players.  Working on group events or run missions without having to compete over resources, and advance without necessarily being grouped up together, though it can also be easy to just find temporary groups. Also, GW2 scales levels by area, so people can be max level and still assist others in low areas if you do meet other players.

I played WoW for years, and it left it with a fear of PuGs and *******, so although I like the idea of MMOs, I usually won't touch them unless I know someone playing already (readon I played WoW in the first place). Might download GW2 to try it though...

It didn't help that he was the only major character who really had a lot of heart and personality.  So when he died, it was like the life went out of the story.  For me, at least.  My boyfriend just got suckered back into raid leading in WoW
