uhmm well I totally tried to make my Lavellan after Halla mother and thought of her more like an innocent looking one with these almost white hair n_n well... uhm...

I did think that all the pictures are amazing and I loved Falon'Din's golden ear jewelery (did I write it correctly?) anyhow.. Mythal is exactly how I pictured her and everything is just gorgeous! Just Gilan'nain.. I thought she would look more innocent but in the other hand you cannot see her perfectly in the picture :D ( of course I did not think of her personality as innocent as looks ) n__n

Well i'm conflicted about Ghilan'nain i never saw her as innocent, her title of mother of the halla doesn't seem to be scary enough to justify her presence as one of the Enavuris,so i thought her as the mother of all beasts in general, the one who possess the power to bound spirits of the fade and create new species.

Yesterday I wrote a long post about magic in Thedas (in FrankW's thread) and wrote, amongst other things, about how blood magic can tear the Veil apart rather easily. Then I got the uncomfortable idea that Solas is going to use a massive rune that spans across all Thedas to sacrifice all of the citizens of Thedas.

Now that you wrote this post I'm even more uncomfortable.

I know it won't happen (like 99% certain), but it still makes me uncomfortable, especially with the whole "why does the world have to die" "I can't tell you that" deal.

Solas, no.  Bad Solas.

I think of my face as a canvas too. I was originally thinking about doing some navy blue and gold eye makeup. But now I just want to do some heavy eye makeup in a classic way after seeing this Nina Dobrev photoshoot. http://www.whowhatwe...-interview-2015

As a dark-eyed, dark-haired person, I love a lot of liner. This sort of look suits me too. My Lavellan got the dark liner from me and deep red lips from a color I was wearing a lot last fall when I made her. :)

I will just have to decide if I want to copy this and go for neutral lip or a red of some kind.

Oh wow! I like Nina she is super gorgeous!! Looks amazing!!

I have darker hair as well right now :) Oh wow. I love using red lipstick myself and having like a smokey eye make up look :) that sounds cool! I like how people think about creating themselves as the character.. I was blonde when I created mine but wanted my lavellan to have white hair but I had to give her blue eyes like I do and Use a little bit black eyeliner + eyeshadow but not too much since I wanted her to look more innocent. I also did not want her face shape to be like mine at all and I did not want her to wear red lipstick haha (I already made my shepard to look like mee too much in ME3 haha) XD but omg I think your idea would be perfect! Hopefully you'll love it! Thought I think you will ;)

Because I studies Biology and people's brains do not fully develop at the early age so those who are really young do not really understand every single thing the same way.

Pre-frontal cortex isn't done developing until people are in their mid twenties.  Sometimes even later with men.  So really, we shouldn't be allowed to make important decisions until well after the current legal age of adulthood :P

I have pretty bad arachnophobia AND insect phobia. Games can be legitimately anxiety-inducing. I'm so glad for modders.

I used to have a pretty ridiculous fear of dark water (used to meaning I won't admit to still having it). I remember this quest to go under water in Oblivion where I had to turn the screen brightness to max, and when I saw there were a giant slaughterfish I noped back to the surface where I spent quite a few minutes putting myself into "It'sjustagameit'sjustagameit'sjustagame" mindset before I went and made sushi out of that arsehole! A few years before that I would of made my brother do it (I never went into water in Morrowind).

I managed DAI but it was good to have stealth to remove aggro and to be able to stay back while I sent my companions to handle the spiders. Best Inquisitor and leader ever. :D

Thanks! It played out so much like his, from the "it'll end badly" to "I can't be with you" after months of heated romance, then he just dropped all contact and we never saw each other again. Happened in July 2014.

I liked your comment because you answered to me. Not because I liked what happened to you! I gotta say that is so awful... If I had been there after it happened I would like hug you and buy you all the sweet candies, flowers and some drinks(if you drink) and been like '' let's watch a movie together and you can cry or speak or tell me anything you want I will listen! Or if you don't want then we will have our own night together! **** men! Girls night out! ''
My personality is like a mix between: Dorian, Varric, IronBull + Josie and Cassandra.

Speakin of the spiders, what would your Lavellan really see the Fearlings as? I guess you could say "it's canon that Inquisitor is afraid of spiders" but really it's a gameplay/story segregation that they can't tailor Fearlings for everyone's PC's specific fears. Some examples iirc Cass sees them as maggots, Sera perceives them as areas of "nothing", and of course the names of the Fearlings themselves are good examples: the Calling, Templars, mages, darkspawn. There's also a codex entry which shows that they can also be more abstract - I think I remember reading someone's account of how when they stuck the Fearling with their sword, they were overcome with a crippling sensation of having disappointed their father or something like that. A related question is what would her tombstone be for you but that's asked a lot so.

The meta-humor of the spiders in the Nightmare was not enough to offset the fact that they were GODDAMN HORDES OF SPIDERS.

My Lavellan is pretty good at hiding her fear of spiders for the most part.  It's more an aversion than an actual phobia, but in my headcanon Solas still makes fun of her for it :P

yes it is what I meant but still if you are 20 and the other person is a little older I think it is fine but huge gaps and specially if the other person is under 18 (even 18 ain't that old) neither am I lol is not always the best thing.

You are so sweet! Thank you! :) That would have been so much fun!

I have had many boyfriends but this guy was my other half, I swear it. It was the most painful experience and yet playing a Lavellan and romancing Solas seemed to help me cope. Odd.

See, I decided that they were actually spiders because I thought it was funny on a meta level that both player characters (Hawke and quizzy) saw spiders.  So then I had to come up with a reason why she was scared of spiders.  Eventually I decided that when she was a teenager, she got separated from her cousin while hunting and a giant spider chased her up a tree.  That's how she got the scar on her forehead--leaping out of the tree to avoid those nasty pincers.

I have kind of a snakephobia not sure what is a real name for it. In games no it does not matter but IRL totally. Spiders... only if they are poisonous ones which can kill you (if not treated some) so yeah.. I saw few in Italy... screamed a little.. yes... '' Hello brown recluse spiders.... walking on the roof (indoor) over my bed... heheheheh... ''

In Finland we do not have spiders bigger than brown recluse and none of them can kill you by a bite ( the ones there are now )
Snakes only one. But snakes are just scaary T_T Idk why but I have played horror games.. it is awful to play alone but I've done it few times.. got super scared though haha.

SPIDERS lol :P

I took the canon as headcanon because of that. Also because holy crap am I arachnophobis, so it worked just fine. :P

But I have mentioned my Lavellan dealing with some cultural pressure and feeling like she's a bit disappointing over her sexuality, decisions, and never having children. So, I don't know, that might be something. Still, spiders work. :P

I was in Italy. I was there for 7 months because my ex boyfriend was Italian but he spoke like an American. Many Americans mistook him as American haha. He also taught me how to speak better English. We were together almost 2 years :) But yeah. I did speak in English to everyone else as well but I got to know so many people from America since he had so many friends from there and visited there pretty often with his father :)

I actually do not think that all the bad things would come from America :) I definetely do not think so. Righ now there are many alarming things about other countries going on in the news though :/ I just hope everything is gonna be alright :)

I do not mind like age difference if the other person is not underage. Why? Because I studies Biology and people's brains do not fully develop at the early age so those who are really young do not really understand every single thing the same way. I also know it because when I look back and I remember being 14-15 then 16 then 17 I always thought that I am old enough to know and learn things and I understand etc. But honestly I feel like I was just a child back then. I could not understand everything like I do now yet I know I still do not understand or think everything the same way that I will be thinking in the future because I feel like I am still very young as I know I am and now I can actually understand that. I am mature but yet I can be immature as well but yes I do feel like I understand a lot more of the things than I did as I was younger :) Sometimes I have seen people that are a lot older than me but still seem to be in a teenager's shoes ^^

I would love to travel to Europe ^.^ maybe I'll start saving up. You have to start somewhere.

Yeah, that's true. America usually gets a lot of grief for things though. Especially in the comment section of YouTube -.-

Definitely, brains take awhile to fully develop and people take awhile to mature. Teenagers with adults just creep me out. I don't care if you're mature for your age, you are going to look back one day and realize how immature you actually were! Adults with huge age differences get too much grief though. It's their choice let them make it. Although I imagine it's a little awkward for parents meeting a boyfriend who's their age!

Hello everyone :) I found two songs in my little collection for lavellan and solas.

Night Core: still here, for poor Lavellan
http://m.youtube.com...h?v=5UUO_NmnSFc

Night core: wrong side of heaven, this one is for solas
http://m.youtube.com...h?v=vaIcGbQbnzs

I really think these Lyrics grab solas, I stand alone, I'm no hero, and I'm not made of stone. Right or wrong I can hardly tell.
These to me seem to fit him, just so sad.

I think mine would see snakes. There were some nasty buggers to be found while exploring ruins and she once got bitten and had to spend a night running a high fever and too weak to return to camp, until some older hunters found her the next morning. Not a nice experience.

As for her tombstone, I could se two things. Either "Failure" or "They will all die". Both refer to the same fear of failing everyone's expectation and not being able to protect friends, but although I like the second one more it doesn't quite work with how all the other's tombstones are phrased.

Words aren't needed if we both know the feeling. We already understand. :)

As for the fear topic. Spiders are my greatest fear! In the game I can hardly look at the screen. One time I was pinned to a wall almost in first person view with the legs coming at me in 3D! My poor mage was knocked out because she was trapped and no one entered the cave with her.

Ophidiophobia :)  (had to Google that one, odd considering how common it is)

My phobias aren't things that usually turn up in games, unless they're horror games, which I just can't play.  I have a fear of deep water, and quizzy can't make it a step without falling over.  Mostly, what gives me nightmares isn't so much the scary thing, as the horrible anticipation that precedes the scary thing.  The creak in the floorboards.  The alien moving through the vents.  The rattling breath right before the deathblow.  If you can't see the scary thing, it could be anything, and that makes it ten thousand times worse if you have an overactive imagination like mine.

Mine's the same age as yours.  And Weekes initially tweeted that Solas is in his forties, so I'd say he's in his early forties physically.

Ellana is 26 at the start of Inquisition, verging on 30 by the end of Trespasser. She believes Solas to be in his late thirties to very early forties, but he never quite tell her and it seems like such a small detail to her that she never asks :P

Oh I feel like Solas totally is about in his 30's maybe 35 I would say

my Lavellan is like 24-26 but I thought her a little younger but it's probably because I personally like usually a little older men (not too old) like I've dated a man 28 years old and a man 29 years old :) I felt a lot better with them than with younger because of the maturity. They knew what to do in life and they actually knew obiviously about life and how paying bills etc works cause most my age do not really (I mean like living alone) and they had some plans about the future. I liked that fact a lot :) I felt like Solas was someone who knew much etc. He had small smiling wrinkles haha so it made him look that he would be in his 30's but not early 30's a bit older but 40 felt like a little too much.. it could be though but then again I felt like my Lavellan was sometimes really childlish with Sera but with Solas not really but in a way that she was the sad puppy you know. Kind of gone with the '' Gilan'nain youngest of the gods '' thing hehe.

Those are really good questions. Let's see... I have two Lavellans...

Aine: She's deeply afraid of severing ties with her clan, so Fearings would reflect that. As for her tombstone. Hmnmn... "Being the last one standing".

Faye: Fearing would look like moths. "No, butterflies are not supposed to be THAT hairy." Tombstone? "Losing hope".
