Does this mean we're going to end up with a creepy unbaby, a bad case of the sparkles, and an incredibly anti-climatic ending to our story?

Who's our Jacob? Solas has the wolf symbolism, but he obviously has to be Edward... is it Cullen? Poor Cullen... now take of your shirt!

Hey, at least we end up together, no one important to us will die, and the world will stay the same as it was before.

Edit: I call dibs on making the awful fanfic of that story that will become mainstream and make me millions!

I shall call it "50 Shades of Pride"

I call dibs on writing the fanfic of your fanfic in which I tell the same story but from Solas' perspective instead of Anavellan's.

The anger is justified, lethallan (lethallin?).

Where is my option to stab them in the face?  Where, Bioware, where?

This is the wrong thread if you want to be talked out of romancing the egg.  But we do have fluff and kittens and puppies for after the heartbreak.

---

Assquisitor Update: Two mintues and Cassandra already Greatly Disapproves of her.

Lethallan. I think.. Yeah.. That's the female one, right?

I frequently forget my elvish

I've yet to do an AssQuisitor. I just like to be loved  :crying: TO BE LOVED.

Although my Qunari isn't hugely popular from what I remember. Took the mages on as the Inquisitions prisoners and is BFFs with Viv, which tends to make him a bit of a pompous arse to everyone else. Ha. But he has a fuzzy side somewhere. Not the side the romances Bull, but er, somewhere.

One day I'll finish that playthrough.

Has the Twilight/Solavellan argument come back round again?

I have lived too long! I have witnessed the same arguments come back time and time again!

/overdramatic

I read and greatly disliked the writing of Twilight. Not just the story and character, but her entire writing style as well. If I can love Solasvellan but loathe the Twilight story then they can't be that similar.

Unless...

I never made it past the first book, but er, does Edward go off to destroy the world and essentially commit mass genocide? Does he cause Bella to lose an arm? Does Bella have a crossbow arm!? DO THEY BRING ELVEN GLORY BACK TO THE WORLD!?

*cough*

I er.. lost my train of thought there...

I'm not kidding, if Bella got a crossbow arm I would read the hell out of Twilight with far less snark and a lot more enjoyment than my first read.

And 'lethallan' is the female one.

(EDIT: I read Twlight in the first place to mock it.)

As long as you never compare Solas to a cannibalistic mother hamster, it'll be better than 50 Shades of Grey

Mehehaha I had to look that quote up and... wow.

Ha, but I'm the one making millions!

So, what did you guys do with the Well of Sorrows?

I suppose drinking from it should be avoided since Solas hates that decision, but it's hard to justify not doing it as a Dalish elf.

Sure, maybe you're just being cautious because it's unknown magic. But how would Lavellan simply allow Morrigan to take her people's heritage?

My Lavellan wanted to drink from it. But since Solas was actually supposed to beg you not to drink from the well I just pretend that he did and so she doesn't drink for Solas.

My male Lavellan doesn't care though and drinks from it. In fact my Female Lavellan and Female Trev were the only ones who don't, the rest either don't trust Morrigan or wanted to drink from it.

She has long, flowing white hair.  Her porcelain limbs splay out on my perfect elven tile floor like a masterful fresco.  Impossibly violet eyes blink up at me through snowy lashes, and I feel my ancient heart stop.

"Hahren," she whispers, blushing from her delicately pointed ears to her toes.

I offer her my perfectly manicured hand.  "Da'len," I growl back.

(ugh, I feel like I need a shower now  )

For mine, it was not easy. But Corypheus was still out there and she was the only one who could close rifts and repair the damage. She had a duty to perform and could not chance being tied to some unknown force.

My Lavellan drank from it.  Like you said it's hard not to drink when you're RPing a Dalish (in particular one who believes in the Creators).

Ahem.  Switching tacks to more dignified discussion :P

My Lavellan let Morrigan take it because of what Cole said about the Well.  How it sounds like a chorus of hungry voices that would try to drown out her own.  That freaked her right the f*** out, as did the geas.  My Lavellan cares about the People's knowledge and heritage, but the more she learns, the more it seems like reclaiming their ancient glory is as likely to destroy them as save them.  And at the Well, she realized she wasn't willing to sacrifice her own identity for power and knowledge.

EDIT:

My Lavellan drank. At the time, she didn't quite realize yet that Mythal was still alive (well oops!). Morrigan rubbed her the wrong way something major and there was no way she was letting all that knowledge go to the condescending witch who thought my Lavellan couldn't possibly have the knowledge to use it. Hmph. She really didn't get along with Morrigan lol.

Edit : again? Hmmm

But Sable, there's more to discuss on anchor buttchecks and twilight paraodies.  Comes to the dark side, Sable

hella drama in the elfy portion of the DA fandom on tumblr this evening. I'm not involved with either side, just reading.

Same here. This is why I don't have a personal blog anymore and just reblog art, there's too much drama. I just... I'm too old for this shit.

I decided to read it because I thought I'd go down the whole 'dont knock it until you try it' route. Plus I thought I'd channel my teenage years where I liked a lot of naff romances and thought maybe it'd appeal to that side of me.

It did not.

The Edward - Solas comparisons can be killed off by one quote.

Edward see's himself as a monster, yes?

Then we have Solas in Trespasser - "I am not a monster"

See  :P  completely different. Case closed.

My Solasmancing Lavellan did. She was a very dalish-y dalish. Her Elven Glory days have taken a different direction now though   But at the time she wasn't going to let Morrigan take something so important to her people's history.

My Male Lavellan did not give a toss. He joined the Inquisition to escape the Dalish, he wasn't about to go making himself a slave to one of their Gods. Let Morrigan take that burden. He has more important things to do. Like napping and sexing Dorian.

Both of them do canonically have a hard time seeing ordinary people as people.  But while Edward would allow the deaths of everyone in the world if it didn't affect him or Bella personally, Solas would like to be able to save and help as many people as he can!
