What did Mirhris do in TME, briefly? Did she help summon you-know-who? If so, that might confirm Solas' sentiments towards it.

She personally did nothing. Her Keeper was an idiot and summoned and bound Imshael. When Michel was an idiot and freed him he slaughterd her clan, but left her alive. She made a deal with Imshael to get revenge on Michel, but Best Elf managed to get Imshael to leave her.
Basically Immy did his usual 'choice spirit' thing in which the person was left with a choice between Bad Choice A and Bad Choice B.
So does that mean that Mirhris is basically
Dunno if I need to spoiler TME stuff.

Felassan spooked you-know-who out of TME.
Assquisitor Update (and Solas related!):
I was doing Solas' quest in the Hinterlands and I killed Mihris because, obviously, knife ears=bad. Solas. Freaking. Approved.
Why eggman? WHY? WHY DID YOU APPROVE OF ASSQUISITOR CADASH DEMANDING THIS GIRL HAND OVER HER TREASURE?
Aside from spite, maybe he just really needed that treasure too? It was an amulet of power for Solas Mihris wanted to take, if I'm remembering it right, and maybe he just needed every piece of power he could acquire at that point, since it was early in game and he was feeling particularly powerless?
Oh yes. Mostly from an emotionally abusive standpoint, about how he pressures the Warden into a relationship (Apparently people get the impression that he flirts with you even if you don't show any interest in him? I feel like this was just the wonky romance trigger system in Origins) and never shows any concern for her, uses his terrible life to guilt her into staying, and since he dumps you to be king, or if you save Loghain, he obviously never cared for you and was just using you the entire time.
It's stretching, yeah, but I've seen worse. I read a tumblr rant once about how Solas doesn't care about anything Lavellan thinks or feels and only wants to hear her agree with him. The ranter's evidence? He gives you approval if you agree with his opinions. And it's like - everyone gives you approval if you agree with their opinions. By that logic, every romance except Josie's and Cullen's is a wreck.
Sometimes the lengths people will go to in order to demonize a character they don't like just baffle me.
You know, I kinda like people like that. At least they have the courtesy to let everyone know right from the start, how stupid they are. It's like they are carrying a sign all the time which says: "I'm stupid." If you accidently start talking to someone like that, she/he just waves the sign and you go "Oh nevermind, did not see the sign." and you can walk away in peace with the good feeling of knowing you avoided getting into a discussion with someone who brings up that kind of "arguments".
Also like the posts about adopting pets. (Following is a long story about my own pets, I don't know why I wrote all this, so I put it in spoilers, just in case so nobody is bothered.^^
So does that mean that Mirhris is basically

spoilers only because there are some currently reading TME
Oh I see. So hmm. Solas probably knew because Felassan? Well he must've with him telling her she was lying (more or less).
And that confirms the
Cassandra Disapproved, though. And she's already Greatly Disapproved of her too.
I found Cass disapproved of me a lot when not playing an assquisitor. I think I ended up with high approval ultimately, however! ![]()
I said that the did/they didn't they is a fact.
The whole bit about being a pride spirit summoned by Mythal is just my personal theory-- I never said that was a fact. Pretty solid, IMO, but my theory. I apologize that I did not clarify between stating a fact and my personal option, since they were both in the same post. (Also, this would explain why the depictions of Fen'Harel have multiple eyes-- the only other creatures with eyes like that I can remember are the Pride demons.)
Ramification - Yes. ^^^ I am still looking for the podcast where Weekes says that he intentionally wanted each player to decide if Solas and Lavellan slept together.
Yes I'm with you here. I love that they left it up to each of us to decide. For me there was never any question about their intimacy until I visited the forum. It seemed like a given, but I appreciate that the writer left this open if it upsets players and makes them feel used.
My Levellan doesn't feel used because of their intimacy. Sex isn't the end all be all of a relationship and deception in bed isn't worse than any other deception. The point where he tells her he loves her is the "I'm going all the way moment" in my head, thus intimacy didn't seem like the "line" where Solas should stop. When he said "I would not lay with you under false pretenses" I interpreted it as "I wouldn't have been with you if I didn't really love you". It fits with his "What we had was real" comment. He very VERY much wants to impress on Levellan that his actions were born from genuine feelings, even if he was hiding important facts about his identity.
Personally, I think Solas deceived himself far more than he did Levellan. He was never in control of the situation with her and still isn't. Sure she chased him, but he never really walked away in all those scenes either. He always leaves the door open and when she doesn't come back, he kinda comes back... I think he wants to tell himself that he can walk away (even if it's painful), and his mission will be more important and fulfilling in the long run. In truth she represents exactly the kind of hope he once stood for and should be fighting for and I think it nags at his conscience that this could be true. Dumping her allows him to retreat back into his own beliefs and sense of "rightness". He can even tell himself that he's self sacrificing because that seems to be a big part of who he really is. I think he's terrified because choosing her means accepting his mistakes and building something new, which will be much harder than erasing a past wrong.
If Levellan chooses to not walk away and save him...well...I think that makes Levellan the bravest person in the game. She's basically saying "Yep, I see exactly who you are and I love you anyway. Flaws and all." This is a powerful statement to a person who's likely expecting to be abandoned by a spiteful lover and it would be flooring to hear that. Before him is standing a tenacious person who believes in him and is seeking understanding while offering forgiveness. How do you cleanly walk away from someone who believes in the best of you when you're at your worst, and has the ability to bring out the best in you again?
Quote from the "Accidental Tourist" - “I'm beginning to think that maybe it's not just how much you love someone. Maybe what matters is who you are when you're with them.”
That's why he haunts her dreams. He's the one truly haunted.

Eh it probably has to do with TME but after playing through DAI and trespasser it didn't seem all that out of place to me anyway; basically he's not above killing for the greater good and at that point in time it's a whatever helps the inquisition at all costs (just like he will disapprove if the inquisitor is willing to sacrifice themselves at haven). They have a goal that's bigger than themselves and sometimes you just have to buck up and get your hands dirty whatever the cost to get it done, because the alternative might be worse. Solas is very compassionate but he's a force to be reckoned with when he has a goal set in mind. That's just the way I see him after completing the game though.
The first time I fought Imsheal in the game I didn't know I was 'supposed' to talk to Michel. I must have left the town a different route than was expected. So I come back later and see him and he's all..."I've been hunting him forever and you just waltz in and kill him?" not an exact quote but I thought it funny, er, sorry? I didn't know he was a friend of yours ![]()

10,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 this.
And we know that Solas fears dying alone-- I think it's safe to assume he is a desperately lonely person.
Edit - Top post! Here is one of (censored lol) my arts!

I think he probably felt pretty guilty for being gullible enough to let him loose on the world...
Oh he left the kids alive? That sounds like that story Felassan tells about Fen'Harel and the slow arrow. And that's Felassan's name.. I don't know what that implies..

It wasn't a waltz, more of a cha cha.
I'll show myself out...

In WOT 2 there's a letter from Imshael that strongly implied that he (the demon/"choice spirit") did it to be a burden on another clan that would take them in and that was already starving in the winter. So for extremely nefarious purposes, I think, although he said the children were too young to make a "choice" he could feed off of. (It brought to mind disturbing thoughts of cannibalism, letting the children starve to death, or selling them into slavery). Imshael was one sick puppy, IMO. (No pun intended)
I do not have a high opinion of Mihris.
So......here it is. Chapter 6 of my Zevellan crazy.
I don't know how necessary it is to warn about this, but there is implied gore I guess you could say in this chapter. So....yeah, I don't know if it actually needs a warning, but just thought I would say just in case.
Well, this went to unexpected places. It makes sense, but your fluff has turned to intrigue.

Though, I was also wondering in the beginning why she was trying things gifted to her without making sure they weren't poisoned. Maybe I have read too many mysteries.

Yeah so like Imshael enjoys and essentially feeds on people being forced to or having to make difficult choices pretty much. The clan he sent them to would as a result of his actions have a difficult choice to make - take the children in and share what little they have with them, potentially reducing the number of people (children included) in their own clan that survives the winter, or put their own first in order to survive and in so doing leaving the other children to starve. A grim choice all around. That's what Imshael gets off on basically.
I liked it. It's how Zevran would approach the situation to dispose of the evidence.
And I am convinced that Antivia is where coffee would come from. I also think of it as being a luxury which is why we don't see it mentioned in game. I think other than my own story yours is the first to even mention coffee that I've read. It's usually tea.
Actually, if you check out Antiva on the DA wiki, it says coffee is one of their main exports!
