I do want to see the effect it has on modern Thedus. Elves being more powerful then humans, humans being weaker due not having bodies that can adapt well to life without the veil. Elves rioting in the streets and winning and the Chantry colapssing from the chaos. Also, magic zevran, assiasin mage.

I think it's funny how at char creation you can choose dual wield rogue, archer rogue, sword/shield fighter, two-handed fighter ... and mage. Like I can be this kind of rogue or this kind of rogue or this kind of fighter or this kind of fighter ... or just a simple, silly mage. I know the reasons for choosing in the beginning, it allows for cutscene variation and initial point allocation and such. It just strikes me as amusing.
It would be cool to have hybrids though. I've always liked the idea of a mage/rogue combo.
Edit to add: And yeah you're right, it's actually three classes, not four.

Oh, I' think I've already been through most of the feels, since these are the final 8 episodes of the series, but even season 6 began with many feels.. I love that there are a bunch of awesome women in there too.
Guys, I just realized that I accidentally coordinated my makeup to my shirt.
I'm wearing the Hermit shirt, and I decided to do heavy eyeliner again so I have about three shades of gold eyeshadow on and I lined the top with heavy black liquid and the bottom with a green pencil.

My great-grandmother was 100% Swedish. Your post made me nostalgic and happy!
We have many good idioms here in Sweden... I think a couple of my favorites are:
Det som göms i snö kommer upp i tö - What is hidden in snow comes forth in thaw
Ont ska med ont fördrivas - Evil shall with evil be expunged
"Den som var borta och finge gå hem!" sa kärringen som hade främmat - "If only I had been away and could go home!" said the old woman who had visitors
I den blindes rike är den enögde kung - In the realm of the blind the one-eyed (man) is king
And there is this one, which in the case of Solas is highly inaccurate:
Den som sover syndar inte - The one who sleeps does not sin
Yeah, tell that to dreamer-Solas who killed Best-Elf... ![]()
Here is a challenge - Which idiom (language doesn't matter) do you think fit Solas the best?

I'll say that I never meant to convey that someone should regret buying the animal. If you love him you shouldn't wish to go back in time and change what happened. With that said, I would not buy a terminally ill or very sickly animal. I live with younger children, which is an automatic no right there, but I'm also in college and there is no way in all of the Fade that I could afford those medical bills. It's one thing getting a healthy animal and they get sick then you realize how you have to pay to keep your beloved animal healthy. It's a whole other story buying an animal that's sick knowing what those medical bills are going to look like (no chance for good pet insurance either). My sweet little demon kitty needs prescription cat food that costs $40 friggin dollars! I spent hundreds (probably dipped into the thousand, but that makes me ill just thinking about it) of dollars on him when he had urinary tract issues. I do not, and would never ever regret getting my little prince, but I would not go out and buy an animal that I know has those issues! It's awesome that there are charitable people that go out of there way to buy sickly animals, but I don't think there is anything wrong with people (such as myself) who wouldn't buy a sickly animal. I think it's a bit assuming of you to think that A. everyone can afford to do that and B. Everyone has the same emotional fortitude you do to be able to do that.
First thing first, I seem to have offended you, if I did I apologize, it was not my intention.
I don't buy animals in the first place, I only adopt, so it's a bit different when it comes to expenses (less on my part), a very sick animal that can't be helped will be more often than not is put to sleep before you could adopt it in the first place (although I'm pretty sure you can buy sickly animals without your knowledge because breeding animals a lot of time includes inbreeding and purebreds are the sickliest).
A person who asks money for a terminally ill animal is an asshole, just because they keep seeing the animal as property even though they're suffering and dying, a person who asks for help to take care of a poor, dying animal is different thing.
The point of my original post was to state that a sick animal is still worthy of love and good life, if I were that person who would've learned the dog I got had cancer I would be sad and mad for the dog. Sad because his previous owners didn't love him enough, mad because they abandoned him when he needed them the most. I would then try to help the dog and invest in him until he gets better or dies from the cancer.
That's just me though, I understand from a firsthand experience how hard it is to take care of sick animal and it's perfectly normal not to be able to cope with it (I still don't cope well with it, I mourned weeks for each pet that I lost), I'm not speaking for anybody else but myself.

Yeah, I think that the game themes have gotten a bit stale because the environments and conflicts are always the same. Templar vs Mages, Slaves vs. Owners, etc. Tearing down the veil could lead to other types of conflict. Haha, I can imagine a war between the "good" spirits and the "evil" demons.

Random things:
I miss being able to choose multiple specs. I know we don't really have enough different specs to justify being able to choose more than one, nor do we really get enough points to spend across the various trees if we had more than one spec. And the power creep would be crazy ... anyone remember DAA? I mean, mechanics-wise I understand why we can't. But it still would have been fun.
Also, replayed the whole game, finally got my last tile in Trespasser to unlock, the one with Bull betraying you or not. Still not sure why they included that as a separate tile. And from JoH, the Nox Morta quest has a tile? Like, really?

All of the following from Friedrich Nietzsche:
- You have your way. I have my way. As for the right way, the correct way, and the only way, it does not exist.
- He who fights with monsters might take care lest he thereby become a monster. And if you gaze for long into an abyss, the abyss gazes also into you.
- There is always some madness in love. But there is also always some reason in madness.
- I cannot believe in a God who wants to be praised all the time.
-
There are no facts, only interpretations.
- Sometimes people don't want to hear the truth because they don't want their illusions destroyed.
- The higher we soar the smaller we appear to those who cannot fly.
There are many, many more...

When the crap hits the fan thanks to Solas, again. I imagine my Surana would already be cured from the taint and maybe have a kid. Thinking all like, "Well, I've spent twenty years in the setting darkspawn and crows on fire business. Killed an Archdemon, saved Frelden, helped my SO become the dreaded among the crows, and traveled around a lot. All the while I'm getting close to being 40. Maybe I'll try raising a kid with Zev." Then the veil falls away and demons come pouring out. "I just made this kid and now the world decide to explode!" They'll proubebly be like "Nope, screw this we're out."
What do you think your wardens would be doing when Solas plans are completed?

I'm just going to high five you on studying something like this that you have to actually explain to people who don't quite know what to make of it when you tell them.
Mine was on pre-Civil War Spanish literature and the group of writers known as the Generation of '27, with a focus on the work of Federico García Lorca.
*high fives back*
oh man, that sounds really cool! I never got the chance to get into Spanish literature, but European literature, art, & film during interwar period was some of the most exciting stuff there is, as a rule of the thumb. I'd love to read some of García Lorca one day.
I know that feeling. It's got worse since I started formally studying philosophy, because most people kinda understand what studying art/literature means - it involves books and paintings, even if it's 'out there' books and paintings. It's now become almost impossible to talk to my mum on the phone about what I'm doing, because explaining 'yeah, I'm watching french films about WWII' is much easier than 'yeah, I'm studying Hegel'. (admittedly, I don't understand Hegel either).
You and I think alike.
I try my best, lethallan

mage does - or traditionally has - the most versatility of the classes though. You can be a mage in four different schools of magic usually, and it's left up to you which to specialise in. In DA:I it's been stripped down a bit - generally, to survive, you need a certain amount of points in the spirit tree, and the rest of the trees are kinda samey (no glyph spells, really?), but the specialisations allow you to play different roles on the battle field (e.g. KEs tank, Rift Mages control the field, and Necromancers deal more damage). Whereas if you're playing a warrior/rogue, you're basically either a sword&shield tank, or you specialise in DPS, nine times outta ten.
It's probably the worst in DA:O - if you're a warrior/rogue, you'd usually fill out the one tree of your chosen weapon, and then choose from a small number of specialisations based on what best makes sense (e.g. ranger for an archer, assassin/duelist for a dw rogue, and bard if you're planning on having a lot of cunning). Whereas for a mage you have... what, 64 spells to choose from? And you have loads of different builds you can play with which work, since mages can be damage-dealers, they can be healers, or they can be controllers, using paralyse spells, glyphs, and debuffs to shift the battle in your favour.
I miss DA:O mage combat ;_;

Good god... how can I totally NOT understand how Solas feels about the Veil, when I'm about the same when it comes to me and my creations?!
I can spend all of my energy on, say, a picture until I'm almost entirely spent and have to take some time to sleep things through - and I come back next day to it and usually my reaction to what I've done is "OMG, WTF is this!?!?!" *struggles with urge to scrap it and start everything from the scratch*
