That's why I can never become a Necromancer; I couldn't dream of using or hurting wisps like that. =(

I dunno if they're hurting them per-say. Those particular wisps are drawn to death so they come to help you in your.. deathy interests.

This is what Solas says about it (if you choose the disapproval option):

So long as they're not sentient, we're good to go!

It would be nice to see how the Nevarrans deal in it. Necropolis' and all that.

Alternate Universe

Basically same characters but in a different world - could be our modern world, modern Thedas, Arlathan, you name it.

Thank you! Looking at it,  it's so duuuuh,  but I suppose I can use my "I'm not a native" excuse as I usually do :D

So when I am writing about an OC in Thedas, it's not AU, right?

(I personally do not usually like changing the concept of the story, so I guess most of AU is not much for me)

Random question for a fic I'm writing guys. What's something you pack for a trip or debate packing for a trip that's ultimately just a waste of space? Something that would exist in Thedas.

A pair of designer stilettos? xDDDD

I mean, dunno about stilettos but there are certainly stylish shoes. Leliana is all cray-cray about them!

Eventually those just could be slippers. LOL, can you imagine Inky crawling from the tent, wearing PJs and large, fluffy bunny slippers? xDDD

Art post.

deedylovescake's lovely modern AU of her Lavellan as a librarian at Haven University's Art & Architecture Library and Solas as a successful writer of fiction novels.

Solavellan for Inktober. (Lavellan's got quite the booty!)

Solavellan fluffy moments. (Slightly NSFW for nudity)

Cute little sketch of Solas and Lavellan.

Smooch attack! Colored version of this art.

And angry-looking Solas.

Trespasser: Trying to draw the egg. (Pretty nice art.)

Dragon Age elves now as stickers on the artists' Red Bubble Store.

I figure anything but the necessities are a waste of space, but maybe something to do with a hobby? An instrument, a scetch pad, journal, possibly make-up. I think I would bring a book or two. Something frivolous. Oh and chocolates....have to have chocolate!

*emerges from binge Twitter reading*

There's like, three That Guy In Your MFA in my history class. Just, y'know, mythology and history instead of lit. It's...quite entertaining to see them face off.  ^_^

And from what I've heard, they tend to congregate in the actual English classes we have as well. My favorite anecdote I've heard so far involves the student in Medieval European Literature and Poetry asking, "Why don't we ever read anything American? Just once I'd like to see our country get some love in this class."

Those statues of the crators that the dalish drag along with them. For someone to fit in a backpack, think of small wood carved idols.

I present a fun question:

Which personality alignment does your Lavellan fall under?

An example chart:

Spoiler

Mine went from '(Dalish) lawful neutral' to 'true neutral' in about the space it takes to say "slave markings".

Great question!

Mine starts out as chaotic neutral, at the beginning of the game she's an incredibly empty person with no purpose or a constant to her life. The relationship with Solas and the Inquisiton briefly turn her into neutral good as he teaches her to make change happen and the Inquisition gives her purpose. She truly believes she and Solas are building a better world together, and after Corypheus is defeated, they can devote themselves to that full time. Then when he bolts, she becomes chaotic good.

Ummm... guys something weird just struck me... in JOH after you get one of Ameridan's memories talking about believing in both the Maker and Elven Gods, Cole naturally quotes him in regards to a convo he had with the Emperor, then Cole stops speaking in quotes and in present directly says:

"He doesn't see. Wants it simple. But I can help him get there. There's room for both."

And this was in present tense. Could that be regarding Solas' plans?

I think mine would fall under true neutral with a small hint of chaotic good.

I think mine started out as Neutral Good. I'm guessing she becomes True Neutral slightly bordering on Chaotic Neutral by the end of Trespasser.

Snip

My Lavellan is decidedly Chaotic Neutral. Poor Leliana and Josephine had such a hard time dressing her up as a reasonable, law abiding citizen.

I never used to play like this, back in my mass effect days I was always a peace loving paragon. I think it's Hawke's fault, I've gotten a taste for being a slightly crazed dipshit and all my PCs have suffered since.

My Lavellan is typical Neutral Good, however, her temper can get the best of her at times and can trigger chaotic outbursts. Her temper has been tested a lot throughout DAI.

I would say neutral good to chaotic good. I've been known to bend and even break a few rules, or go against someones decisions especially when there is a better way. Nick Fury. "I realize council has made a decision, but given it's a stupid ass decision I've elected to ignore it!"

I would say mines chaotic good. She would be neutral good if it wasn't for the fact that she knows she won't be able to help elves through being an example and changing minds. No, humans will forget, or just be ungrateful a**clowns. The only way for real change to occur is through upheavel of the current system and forceful push for change, which is why she encouraged Leliana to kill the Chantry sister spy. Many people will refuse to change their views or the system, particually if they benefit from it so the only way to make change is to eliminate the opposition.

If she lived in a world where the power dynamic was the opposite, she might be more incline to be a Cassandra, or maybe she'd still be a Leliana.

<3  <3  <3  for the phrase "slightly crazed dipshit". I'm in love with it, and it's pretty much how I'd describe my Lavellan  :)

Ooh, fun! I think my Lavellan would probably straddle Neutral Good and True Neutral. She largely follows her inner moral compass and tries to aim for the most good. She will sometimes overlook some moral issues though, if she wants something really badly (like that mosaic piece in Var Bellanaris...).

Oh yeah that was rough. I ended up glitching it and jumping behind the door because at that lawful point in my Lavellan's life, she wouldn't want to go against her traditionalism. But I'm a completionist so I glitched it :P.

No, Cole can perceive more of the thoughts and emotions that another character is feeling. He was talking about Ameridan trying to convince Drakon that their religions could coexist, since they didn't actually contradict each other at that point. Maybe there is some parallel to what Solas is doing, but I'm pretty sure in that moment Cole is talking about Ameridan and Drakon and Andrastism vs the Creators.
