Quick main plot question, can I still get the romance scene in Halamshiral if I haven't done his talk with Inquisitor on her balcony? I've done fade kiss and his personal quest. I'm trying to pace my companions quests/cutscenes out as much as possible.

Which personality alignment does your Lavellan fall under?

Mine went from '(Dalish) lawful neutral' to 'true neutral' in about the space it takes to say "slave markings".

 

I'd consider myself Neutral Good, and after a lot of time thinking about her life before, during, and after DAI/Trespasser, I'd say she would wind up there too.

I learned that the hard way lol when she showed up I danced with her, then Solas asked to speak to me on the balcony back at Skyhold and then wanted to pursue things. I headcaon he was jealous

Who would fall into the "evil" categories in the Inquisition? I don't think evil is the best word to describe that tier, 'selfish' might be better.

 

Was Solas neutral evil at the beginning (killing Felassan)? Sera chaotic evil for anarchy (though she seems to want to help the underclass so that's not selfish)? Vivienne lawful evil for her mage ideals?

 

Just tossing ideas around.

 

I'd put Solas into a Lawful Neutral. He killed Felassan simply because he was a liability and a weakness in his plan. Felassan was compromised, like an infected toe, and he had to cut him off before the whole leg was lost to gangrene. Same with people of all types before he realized you weren't just a gremlin after all.

 

He operates under a certain series of rules and order. He will do things that aren't completely in line with his moral compass (ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE FRIEND/LOVE) because he feels they are necessary for the sake of structure/order. Not even because he thinks they are moral or ethical. It just must be so because the structure or the need for order depends upon it.

what about Leliana, unless she's already been crossed off the list? She seems pretty Neutral Evil to me, though I suppose she might also be chilling with Machiavelli in True Neutral.

Leliana.. well hardened Leliana is still into change for the greater good so I think she's chaotic good. But anyone can be interpreted in different ways by different people.

It's fine I just thought you meant it was wrong for people not do adopt/buy animals just because they're sick. I completely agree that pets deserve a loving home no matter how old/sick they are and I am so happy that there are people that go out of there way to help these animals.

 

You're definitely right about not adopting a pet you can't afford. I think a lot of people get pets without realizing how much money goes into those little crappers XD I know I didn't! I got Sebastian when I was 15 and he was just a stray living under someone's porch with his mom cat and siblings. When he got sick I was like "what the !!" uh, but I understand being a proper pet owner now and I'm definitely not getting any future pets until I'm financially stable!

 

I don't loss very well either. I have held tearful funerals for my goldfish... it's kind of embarrassing. A couple years ago I found a cute little beagle running through my yard. I was begging for a puppy (this was pre-responsible pet owner understanding) and I thought my wish had come true. He had a collar on, and it said his name was Copper, he was a sweetie. Anyway I brought him in, my mom couldn't resist his puppy face so she said he could spend the night and we could look into whether or not he had owners tomorrow (we lived in a backwoods area and the address on his collar was a ways away so it was most likely he was ditched). The next morning I run down to how he's doing and the room he was in was drenched in blood. Long story short, my mom took him to the vet, he was very far gone with cancer, and he had to be put down. His owners probably ditched him so they didn't have to pay the bills.

 

   I didn't take this incident well, and although I'd always take in an animal in need I can't see myself adopting one that was very ill.

 

And now I'm sad.

Ugh, that made me really sad to read..

 

I once found a baby pigeon on the street, it was chased by two cats, I drove them off, ran to my house to get a box, drove them off again and took the pigeon.

I fed it (had to forcefully open its' mouth and use my fingers to put wet bird food inside) and pet it and after awhile grown attached. My dad's house had at the time two dogs and a cat, so I couldn't bring the pigeon in. I put it in a box on my Dad's balcony and whenever I was near it started screaming for food, it even learned at some point how to climb out of the box and run to the balcony door whenever I was nearby.

 

After a couple of weeks I returned from school to see a big blotch of blood on the porch, with some feathers sticking to it. It seems like some predator bird got to it... I was so sad I stopped going to school for the remaining time (it was okay because I was near graduation) and my teacher had to call me and ask me to come to the graduation ceremony (I only came at the end since he begged and said it would embarrassing because I was an honors student, it was a very awkward conversation, telling my teacher I don't want to come because of a bird XD).

So yeah, I know how it is to cry over loss of animals. One would think it would stop me from trying to take care of so many, at one point I thought I was cursed after 3 kittens I took care of (on the streets) died + Chili + almost Cheetah.

Off topic question.

Can Templars sense a mage? Without obvious signs like y'know, staff, robes, casting.

If they can, how? Is it the lyrium? Connection to Fade?

Can they sense a "dormant" mage? (One who never consciously used magic,  is not aware of his power, and therefore never used lyrium? )

I'm not entirely certain, I'd say my Lavellan falls somewhere between Neutral Good & True Neutral.

What about Solas? Chaotic Good? V just makes me think about Solas so naturally, it might be clouding my mind though.

Mmmm......I can see my Lavellan going from Chaotic Good to Neutral Good.

 

On a sort of related note, and it evens involves another Bioware game, aside from my Lavellan type of character, I usually like to play another character by the name of Noori(lol, hence the account name MayriyaNoori) and Noori I like to play as Lawful Good in games with choices.

 

However when I played SWTOR with my friends, everyone wanted to play Empire and I was down with that, but to make things interesting I decided to play Noori as a Sith Warrior and go Lawful Evil.

 

Playing a game where the whole time you are referring to the Sith Code to make decisions was fun.....and I worried myself a little bit at how much fun I found it to be.

 

Like, shocking Vette made me laugh every time.

We've got a lot of Lavellan's in the middle, anyone play on the "evil" side? Lawful evil could work with the options we get. Dunno about chaotic evil though.

Aw, I'm sorry you had to go through all that. You're obviously very compassionate towards animals it can be so hard losing pets, they become little members of your family. I hope Cheetah stays in good health now!
