I voted for returning Inquisitor, but we're almost certainly getting a new protagonist (or dual protagonist at best), right? I recall someone quoting Weekes saying he liked that aspect of the series.

No harm done, I know the story roughly from other encounters with it, just never read the original. At this point (58% my kindle says) he is already middle-aged and has committed two murders and several other things. But I will keep looking out for hints about zombification.^^

That may be true, but if that's the case, then he has no reason to write Trespasser the way he did. They could have just ended the Solas confrontation without Solas revealing his plans. Solas could have lied and said that he is looking to revive ancient elves and build a new city somewhere instead of saying that he wants to tear down the veil and destroy your world. Or he could have just been vague like Morrigan. Honestly, it wasn't very smart of him to tell the Inquisitor his plans lol. Considering the weight of evidence, I think Trespasser holds more weight than vague statements by the developers about how they like a new protagonist for each game.
I have to say I was pretty confused when I heard he said that, I agree it would seem incongruous for them to have a new protagonist after all the buildup in Trespasser.

I ship her with Buccaneer, he just adores her so much, and he's such an adorable badass. They're all great characters, and I really love the Briggs crew. FMA is still one of the best fantasy series I think I have ever had the pleasure to read.

Until Solas and the Doc start reminiscing about that time they destroyed their own people for the benefit of all existence, and the "fight" turns into two old coots sighing over past regrets.
As for me, if it's Solas instead of zombies... yeah, no, I'm still screwed. He'd just have to distract my "allies" with a complicated question and they all would stop and stare into the middle distance for ten minutes as they try to work it out.
And me, uh... well, Solas wouldn't need some mind-twister to distract me...
