waaiT I'M WRONG
9 evanuris, including him (sorry!)
Hey, Feynite just posted a new chapter of Looking Glass
To clarify: ![]()
There are eight Evanuris, and Solas makes for a ninth god. This does not take into account the Forgotten Ones, where we only have three known names.
Mythal, Elgar'nan, Dirthamen, Falon'din, Sylvaise, June, Andruil, Ghilan'nain, Solas.
ok so I'm not totally crazy I was thinking there was one missing...too tired to think deeply
waaiT I'M WRONG

No prob, I'm tired too.
So I think the seven birdies are the Evanuris minus Mythal.
My theory/headcanon is that Morrigan and Flemeth's other children aren't daughters at all, but rather pieces of Flemeth. Flemeth has raised these fragment, her daughters, for centuries. Some are aware of what they are, others like Morrigan, are not. But they are all Flemeth. A bit like the fragment of Flemeth that is created if Hawke takes the necklace to Sundermont and the HoF didn't kill Flemeth. There are two Flemeths then. One is absorbed, we assume, the other keeps on trolling Thedas.
Back in DA:O Morrigan was partly right. All Flemeth's daughters are all Flemeth--Just not in the way Morrigan believes.
So, when Flemeth tells Morrigan..."A soul is not forced on the unwilling." She is telling the truth--or at least only lying by omission. You can't force your soul on yourself, after all.
Another random guess... at least one that keeps me from despising Mythal outright. It's possible that she picked Flemeth, rather than an elf, is because Flemeth was disposable. Okay, that's not much better.
But rather than endanger one of her people--she possessed a human. Of course, that doesn't explain why she chose to squat in the woods for a few centuries, while people suffered. She sure didn't mind using them when it suited her purposes (Sundermont)
But then, I have a feeling that Mythal was no where as nice of Solas has led himself to believe. She did, after all, own a well that enslaved people all the way into the afterlife. That just doesn't scream, "benevolent leader" to me.
Possibly, now I just want to see Morrigan's face when she finds out.
I think she chose Flemeth because they are similar, both had been betrayed and both wants revenge. In the tale, Flemeth was helped by demon or spirit, which turn out to be Mythal, in order to become strong enough to get revenge. As for why she is sitting in the woods for years, I think she's waiting for something.
Grrrr after spending 30 minutes trying to recover my steam account I finally open my Skyrim case and find it written down inside. ![]()
Solas is an elf helper too, but he only knows how to make veil-strengthening artefacts. The naughty children get those.
Considering Solas's luck with being described in stories as some monster, Thedas would probably cast him as Krampus. The Christmas demon that eats children.
Were Solas & Flemeth/Mythal ever ..involved? Or are they just really close friends?
This gets asked a lot and I say no, but that's just my opinion. I see a more mentor/apprentice to mutual friends relationship there.

Interesting theory
I've never read that one comic. Did the daughter have Flemeth eyes too, and black hair... did she look like Morrigan and Flemeth? If they are fragments then everyone should like Flemeth, right?

Yes she has the same eyes and hair. I bought the big hard back that has all three comics as well as side bars and extras so beautiful!
Tiny Bosmer under there.
I always thought that the men that Flemeth brings in for sex are used for procreation when not just for amusement. She gets a body, she lives well for a few decades, she gets pregnant, and since these are all children of the original Flemeth, and she presumably has her pick of magically gifted Chasind men...*shrug*
Yavana's presence does complicate the matter, though. I'm no longer sure what Flemeth does, actually. ![]()

She looks badass!
(Now I really want to play ESO. ; v ; )
If Solas painted this while in Skyhold, he might've thought Mythal dead or otherwise out of the picture. (He did exclaim, "So Mythal endures!" when approaching the Well.)
He also talks about searching in the Fade for Flemeth's house, IIRC.
Three things:
1. Someone made this beard mod for Blackwall and I laughed (he stole all the beards remember?):
2. Someone found this in Skyhold:
3. I haven't played ESO since Inquistion absorbed my time but I wrote and printed a few of my own small (17K words) fanfic of it which took me about 6 months (it's interchanges between 3 perspectives, a person from each faction). My brother-in-law is a graphic designer and made the cover for me (with my help to spell the the daedric of course:

I also like to sometimes draw daedric script (this one taken from the Mysterium Xarxes):

1. Lol, Beardwall.
2. Pretty painting! Hmm, I suppose it could be a more dragony version of the Dread Wolf, but it lacks the jagged teeth and blunted muzzle he usually portrays on himself. But, the rotunda variant only had one eye, so his appearance could be mutable.
I suspect that each of the Evanuris could turn into some kind of dragon/monster. If they all originated as spirits/demons, it also, theoretically, wouldn't be unusual for any one of them to have multiple eyes in that form. The dragon above seems to have two tongues and appears to breathe fire. Solas is probably originally a wisdom spirit/pride demon and pride demons use electricity. So I'm thinking it would have to be an Evanuris who uses fire, based around say maybe a Rage demon - in which case, I'm going to speculate Sylaise or Elgar'nan, favoring Elgar'nan.
The birds represent the Evanuris who stood with Elgar'nan to kill Mythal, and Solas the outlier who turned against them.
.
(lol, so many wild speculations from me, for one little discarded asset)
3. Cool! I tried to get into Elder Scrolls/Skyrim, but I couldn't even get out of the prison section to explore. Some games just make me dizzy.

Ahh you're making me miss playing
.. It's pretty..
Top, from my screenshots:

"I found in the Korcari Wilds, a humble cottage far removed from any of the simple Chasind tribesmen. The trees and weeds had not reclaimed the home nor did the Chasind dare to come and steal the trinkets still remaining. It was empty, long abandoned, but the world feared that she might return."
but the world feared she might return
I love how ominous this is. When push comes to shove, Mythal is someone to be feared, and one day she might just come back and remind everyone why.

No. Must. Resist. The. Sparkly!
I saw some of the videos in the steam store, it is a beautiful world! So vibrant!

I'd love to have more tales of the Evanuris's early days. Judging from the stories we find in the Temple, Solas's own accounts, and everything we've seen her do, Mythal in her day was a seriously dedicated ass-kicker.
Taking the form of a great serpent and wrestling a mad god at the base of a mountain, (in the snow, uphill, both ways!) and making the first Titan kill? That ain't no joke. ![]()

Sometimes I spend more time running around and collecting resources and just....being in the world than questing in that session. It works for someone like me, who loves exploration.

Whenever I play Elder Scrolls games, if I somehow end up in an area that overlooks a valley or if I'm on a mountaintop with a good view, I just stop for a while and admire the scenery for a few minutes. It's quite relaxing. ![]()
Do any of you have a favorite region in ESO? Grahtwood and Malabal Tor were mine.
I imagine the Emerald Graves at night would look similar. Oh that would be so utterly cool if someone could mod that into existence.. Can you imagine?

Crickets and the sound of the creek, little wisps coming out to play..

For a MMO ESO is goddamn beautiful. As for me... I don't really know which zone I like best. Heck, I've been in each and explored it thoroughly at least four times xD
From EP Deshann is really pretty and I think I really like Stonefalls for looking very... Jurrasic? It's definitely a unique map. But I think Auridon is probably the prettiest in the most basic sense: it's a place I'd definitely like to have my summer house.... if not just a regular house. All those colorful trees! And those whimsically shaped rocks near the coast ![]()
