To be fair, women have been another group that have had less romances than others.

But not gay males, so not "fair." And straight women have had more options than lesbian women as well.

OMG I'm on my phone so can't reply properly and this thread is moving crazy fast...

This is like all my dreams come true for DAI and yet... Maker, I can't believe I'm saying this but the restrictions are REALLY putting me off. Count me in on the 'please no elf babies' thing because that would squick me out no end and my lady inquisitor is NOT interested in being a mother.

I'm not a fan of playing elves but maybe this could get me out of my comfort zone? I mean, I'd luckily not really planned an inquisitor but I'm still gutted I can't pair him with a human or qunari

Having said that, I am REALLY gutted he's straight. I mean, REALLY. All you guys who wanted to romance him with a dude, I am genuinely so sorry. I know that feel from Cassandra. These had better be some super impressive story reasons for this level of gating...

Eeeeee!! All the squee's!!! This is starting to look like the first DA game that I can't wait to have multiple playthroughs with different LIs each time Cullen, Solas, IB... I just saw the news. I planned on romancing him with my female elven mage, so I'm happy in that regard. But I'm soo soo sorry for everyone who is disappointed!! :'(

My biggest disappointment is that it appears that a LI that appears to be heavily plot involved in an interesting way is once again straight only.

Not necessarily, since there are characters who don't appear to be married, like Keeper Zathrian, Keeper Marethari, and others. It doesn't seem like homosexuality is frowned upon, given the contrast in what Merrill says to a female Hawke in comparison to her conversation with a male Hawke, where she eludes to children and her people taking issue with it.

1. You don't need to be married to have kids.

2.Clans switch people all the time when they meet. The dalish warden's parents were from 2 different clans.

3.The dalish are open with elves out side of the clan sleeping elves with in the clan.

Me too. Not my thing, and I can't see my Inquisitor being into that either. 

 

Same, especially if I'm going to be playing a female Dalish. I envision my Lavellan as being ready to fight tooth and nail against being paired up with someone by the clan so she'll have kids in a timely manner. If she falls in love with Solas only to have him bring up kids then it's going to feel like a slap in the face.
