To be fair, women have been another group that have had less romances than others.
But not gay males, so not "fair." And straight women have had more options than lesbian women as well.

I don't know. I really want to see how they explain this one.
I hope its something as simple as preference. You don't need a huge reason in order to like the things you do.

Probably because he wants little elven brats. It gives me that vibe... otherwise i really can't think of any other reason.

As a gay male, I don't like being stuck with less options than everyone else. Again.
Yes I'm assuming Viv is the last LI at this point. I don't see it any other way.
Well, I'm not a gay man, but I wanted to romance Dorian as a female Inquisitor. But I am totally okay with being a male Inquisitor to do so! ![]()
I just saw the news. I planned on romancing him with my female elven mage, so I'm happy in that regard. But I'm soo soo sorry for everyone who is disappointed!! :'(
My biggest disappointment is that it appears that a LI that appears to be heavily plot involved in an interesting way is once again straight only.
Yes, this is a trope I would like to see dead and buried.
Big Solas is open minded. LIttle Solas is more discriminating.
Oh MY GOD
[CACKLES]
Not gonna lie. This crap is getting kind of old.

.... And what if his new love can't get children?

My Adessa Cadash will have her inventions as her romances .*huggles* it is strange news, good for some, bad for others...and just odd to the rest...not sure where lady Cadash will go at this point...*ponder*
Not necessarily, since there are characters who don't appear to be married, like Keeper Zathrian, Keeper Marethari, and others. It doesn't seem like homosexuality is frowned upon, given the contrast in what Merrill says to a female Hawke in comparison to her conversation with a male Hawke, where she eludes to children and her people taking issue with it.
1. You don't need to be married to have kids.
2.Clans switch people all the time when they meet. The dalish warden's parents were from 2 different clans.
3.The dalish are open with elves out side of the clan sleeping elves with in the clan.
Me too. Not my thing, and I can't see my Inquisitor being into that either.
Same, especially if I'm going to be playing a female Dalish. I envision my Lavellan as being ready to fight tooth and nail against being paired up with someone by the clan so she'll have kids in a timely manner. If she falls in love with Solas only to have him bring up kids then it's going to feel like a slap in the face.
Count me in with the super intrigued bunch.
Because that is pretty darn specific. Like, that is female noble becoming queen of Ferelden with King Alistair levels of specific.
The hell?
I wanna know where this road leads, even if it may be terrifying...
Quoting my own darn self to remind everyone of the tweet Chris Priestly (former BioWare employee) made saying that Solas is a character people will be talking about for a long time.
THIS INTRIGUES ME GREATLY. WHAT AN INTERESTING SERIES OF EVENTS RIGHT NOW...
(No, I can't even possibly guess or hypothesize. I'm just sort of staring at the forum like, "Woah, wait, what?")
Sorry man.
I totally expected him to be bi.
You and me both.
Probably because he wants little elven brats. It gives me that vibe... otherwise i really can't think of any other reason.
Maybe he's straight but he wants to be with someone who understand what it's like being an elf/elf culture.
*Shrug*.
I think being physically attracted to only female elves is the worst reason out of all.
But not gay males, so not "fair." And straight women have had more options than lesbian women as well.
Have you played ME3?
Don't understand where all the freaking out about the babies is coming from, it's just a really random theory.
Don't think they'd pull another Morrigan, either way.
Also I am CACKLING at that comment about Big and Little Solas. It took me a while to get it.
.... And what if his new love can't get children?
*shrugs* Not sure, he'll probably still love her. Or be Jacob 2.0.
.... And what if his new love can't get children?

Seriously, what are the odds?
