I'll send out a group PM sometime today or tomorrow once I've figured out what I'm doing

Did someone mention D&D?!
I don't play. But I am totally in love with this show and take advantage of every opportunity I can to plug it. Matt Mercer is the best DM to ever exist. Plus it's an all voice actor cast. Mercer recently DMed a game for Vin Diesel. I sure do hope they post a video of it. I missed it when it aired on Twitch. The episodes are a bit long. But it's worth it.

My ex used to watch a D&D show that has Wil Weaton in it. Is this it?

I have such a crush on Matt Mercer. Not only is he a great GM, but he's a fantastic VA. Chrom from Fire Emblem, both Eder and Aloth in Pillars of Eternity...be still my beating heart ![]()

He guested it on it for a couple of weeks with Wil Friedle. Felicia Day and Mary E. McGlynn also guested 2 weeks. I forget the name of the D&D Wil Wheaton was on, but no this isn't it. Or do you mean Titansgrave that he was the DM for that had Laura Bailey, Yuri Lowenthal?

That doesn't sound familiar. I have no idea. Oh well. I was just curious.
Isn't there an official dragon age tabletop game? I haven't played it but I hear its pretty good, or so sayeth the online reviews.

I know what show you're talking about. For the life of me I can't remember what it was called. His character died on that show to an acid pit.
@Raeona Yes there is. Wil Wheaton actually used it to make the world and game system they used on the show Titansgrave.
edit: Adding a link to Titansgrave for anyone interested in checking it out. http://geekandsundry...ws/titansgrave/
OK. I've sent out the group PM to everyone who expressed interest in playing some tabletop. If I somehow missed you, sorry! Let me know.
Aw man, I'd love to join you guys. There's not a lot of tabletop opportunities in little NZ, but the timezone plus rubbish work hours are just the worst for online things like this. If all goes well, perhaps I can join you on the next one?

Sure thing! I can also split us into different groups for timezone shenanigans.
Guys, I know I'm flitting in and out at the moment with bizarre off-topic questions, but I'm back with another one! Do any of you know what that skirt-thingy Dorian has on some of his default outfits is called? The half one that only goes around one leg?
I get Solavellan feels from 90s songs. Just random playlists and uh, this gives me feels.
Everything is giving me Solavellan feels right now. I heard "Losing My Religion" this morning and went hellspiralling. It really is like a very bad breakup where every song you hear feels relevant to you. This is so wrong, Weekes! Why you do dis?! ::shakes fist:::

I'd like to join but also I'm pretty shy. So... have fun guys.

Trying to get a better feel for my Lavellan, but I'm not sure how to go about my Lavellan feeling anything but contempt for humans at all times. In that case, why would she help the refugees? Particularly since she thinks humans are all ungrateful ba****s.
I'm wondering, how do your Lavellans deal with humans and what they're outlook on helping them are? Also, how did this translate to the relationship with their human companions? I feel like I'm out of character for being anything but cold towards them.

Clan Lavellan are used to dealing with humans. It's likely that she would be used to seeing them. As a hunter she may have traded with humans, as the First she may have gone with the Keeper to arrange passage through lands, or open relationships with human settlements.

My take on it is kind of like real life, "people are people" no matter what their ears (or anything else) are shaped like. That's just me though, so I suppose it would depend on the sort of backstory you headcanon for your Lavellan... ![]()
This.
I figured my Lavellan would be wary in the beginning but not unkind by any means. I would imagine she would have more fear so to speak of Templars if anything.
Likewise. In the immediate aftermath, I figured my Lavellan would be very wary of pissing off the shems. The Inquisition is her only buffer from execution for the death of Divine Justinia, after all. She needs them. I imagine her thinking, "play nice, smile, say all the right things, and maybe I can get out of here in one piece..." only to find, later on, that she actually DOES have sympathy for these humans. Just like Solas learning to see us mortals as "real," Lavellan relatively quickly discovers that people are just people, and feels sympathy for their plight.
This.

The reaction of my (mage) Lavellan was panic when she woke up in the dunegon of a chantry (I was going to ask here why a Chantry has a dunegon, then I remembered: it's how we've always done things in Haven. We do not question tradition) so she was pretty aggressive with Cass. Then she realised how bad everything was, and also relaxed a bit (on the shem panic side. Not world ending side) when she met Solas and Varric because other non-humans and also another mage. She started to warm to Cass and Leliana after they defended her against Roderick, and covered up a lot of her fear with sarcasm when speaking to people later. Also she had the biggest crush on Cass, which helped.

I'd love to join as well. But I'm also shy and probably terrible at tabletop gaming.. ![]()
