This is probably an unpopular opinion but...I actually don't feel as bad for Solas and Lavellan post-Trespasser. I love them, I do, but at this point, they've each had so many opportunities to walk away and spare themselves a lot of complication and heartache. And it just never really happened. So now they're at a point where Solas is going to destroy the world, Lavellan is going to stop him, but they're both still in love with each other and unwilling to give up. I feel for them, but they also made their own beds, so to speak

That they did, but it doesn't stop me from wanting to step into their world and hug both of them.

Personally?  I'm neutral toward guy-on-guy.  Sometimes it's hot, sometimes it's sweet, sometimes it's meh.  And I've never thought much about Solas or Felassan's sexualities.  It's your smut, so whatever you like!

I would get so confused if I tried to do that.  All of a sudden it'd be like, wait, Lavellan isn't fifteen for this bit!  Have she and Solas met yet?  Why is everything on fire?

Not that I was planning on actually writing smut. Not that deep in writing yet. I'm a beginner, we're talking fade to black at best.

For me the problem would be keeping track of how her character evolves and keeping her voice consistent with the time frame. Haven't tried it yet, but it'd be tough.
