I like how fluffy and romantic leaves this thread stumped and quiet.
Oh Solas, what did you do to us?
My current fluff story that needs to be written involves a birthday. You can use that too if it inspires you.

I think we ninja'd each other
Why am I out of likes!!!!
Really, if we just stick to strictly in-game Solas, he basically holds your hand and removes all fluff from you with a fist pump. Only more gradually, over the course of the story.
I think this is why most of my fluff takes place ~15 years beforehand. ![]()

Fly'Harel charged you for the idea?
The haunted chateau was nice too
Ah yes *likes*.
I think the envy demon's realm was really atmospheric, I'm into that. I prefer horror-like atmospheres to seeing the face of the enemy. It's not as scary if you can put a face to it

Unless the face is in a mirror.
Now that we're talking creepy mirrors, and from the Silent Hill mentions earlier. This came to mind -

It's time for me to go buy some decongestant and fruit. Hoping going for a walk will help a bit, and that I can continue writing a bit when I get back. It feels good that this post-Trespasser chapter has been coming together, even a little bit.
I'll be heading home soon. This week. I'm so tired I need uthenera.

Seems like it was productive, at least.
Hopefully you can rest tonight.
I'm working on that Venatori art and oh man it's gonna take a while. I'm winging it with what little knowledge I have of lighting. Ughhhhhhhhhhh save me.
We are an awesome and creative and fun group. It's pretty inspiring.
Lighting can be tricky but I think you develop more of an instinct for it as you continue along.
I'm so glad more people on the thread are starting to do art as well.

What is your perfect Solasmancer ending for DA4? Fade lovers? Both dying? Traveling the world to help the oppressed? Rulers of Arlathan? I kind of like the idea of Solas and Lavellan dying but being reborn in spirit form with intact personality and memories. Then they could influence the world in a manner similar to Cole.

Perfect ending: Solas becomes a Jenny.
More realistic perfect ending: Rulers of Arlathan.

I think I've already said before that my perfect ending would be for them to travel the world, becoming mentors to the new world and showing people how to live in a newly reunited world and Fade... until they become as much as legend as the elvhen Gods of old were. Are they still alive? only Spirits in the Fade re-acting their love? No one knows...

Eh, that's a bit too much Mass Effect 3 "Control" to me. And I hated the idea of Control.
I wouldn't mind a humble traveling and teaching people ending.

Well, so long as it isn't CLAMP's "RG Veda" ending or anything of the sort... Gawd, that was depressing.
But eh, at this point I suppose I don't know. We don't know their plans for Solas, Inquisitor or in fact Thedas - so it'd depend what will happen next.

This is terrible and cliche, but basically at the end of the game, Solas is ready to tear down the Veil, but the Inquisitor and her new shiny DA4 posse and the shiny New Protagonist show up like at the last second with some ~Awsome Alternate Plan TM~ and he stops to listen, and finally relents -
But no - it's never that easy. Yeah, that's right, Flemythalmorrigan dragons her way in and gives a reason why you suck speech, and explains why it will never work and knocks the Inquisitor out when she tries to intervene. New Protagonist is forced to watch. Then she tells a visibly agitated Solas that he knows what to do, and so with mixed feelings he does the thing.
And when it is done, and Solas is sagging and weak, Flemythalmorrigan goes to collect back that energy Solas stole off of her. Meanwhile, the whole place is shaking down around them as the Veil stops existing. But lo - the Inquisitor is not out of the game, and she pulls a Justinia and stops Flemythalmorrigan from killing Solas though he is greatly drained. She drags him through an eluvian right as the ceiling falls down in front of it, while the rest of the party escapes through another one, and FMM(Flemythalmorrigan) slips away god knows where, but who the eff cares because the world is ending! OH NO!
No one actually knows exaclty where the Inquisitor and Solas go, but suffice to say, they are alive and effectively in hiding for a very long time, though New Protagonist, Dorian and Varric could find them pretty easily if they weren't dealing with the fallout of all that Veil-related shit and Minathrous being on fire.
The End

Well, I don't want it to be an unconscious influence like Cole. Like maybe people will dream of them and they can give them advice in dreams.

Um at first I thought you meant sex. LOL
Edit: Actually that wouldn't be so bad to have their romance end with a sex scene. lmao
Whoops, hit the wrong button. XD Trying to edit for clarity.

Honestly at this point I simply want closure. I hope we have a few options for endings, one tragic, one sort of tragic and the head off into the sunset ending. I doubt we will get the last one.
I want to talk him down from the ledge and find a better way, and then they work together to do that. Make things better, easier for all. Make ending slavery their goal. Or they work to create a new home for elves. They carve out a place of their own and the Chantry has to let them because they realize Solas was the Maker (for creating the veil
) They find a way to safely remove the veil and restore magic to everyone. That's what I want.
But I'm afraid it's going to be more complicated than that. There are too many forces working against them, the gods, the forgotten ones, the blight, red lyrium I think it's going to be a mess no matter what. ![]()
