I had a bit of a nightmare last night, in which this teenage boy who was the child of a friend (not a real person, he only existed in the dream and I knew these things about him) accidentally saw some Solas smut on my computer. So then I had to apologize and explain myself to the mom.

Well, Fly'Harel stole my last like. but that's still pretty great that she spoke to your friends at least. Hopefully that all turns out to have some impact.

Does anyone else have this problem? Like I miss playing DAI and I want to pick it up again, but then I can't because I know the story already.

 

To be honest not really.  I don't have a problem with repetition when it's something I enjoy.  Which really comes in handy when playing MMOs heh.

Wow, she's actually a pretty good artist. I read her "overloaded" fanfic which left me with mixed feelings. I think her writing jumps rapidly between being really funny and kind of cheesy. But it was her first work so a good job overall.

I love Zevran, but he doesn't quite do it for me either. I really do like his story and how he really wants love and acceptance/dedication and is the only one who spends happy adventuring times hanging out with the Warden if romanced. But it just never goes there for me.

A bit yeah.... I (unfortunately) have a very very good memory when it comes to stories, games and scenes(down to the last detail), so basically it becomes a bit repetitive after the second playthrough. I kind of envy my boyfriend who forgets everything in a week or so   

 

Oh I have this problem too, it makes replaying anything a total pain in the ass. After the initial hype I wasn't able to replay DA:I until I had ran through the Mass Effect trilogy twice (I spent most of August and July doing this, it was kind of insane two months... an empty summer does weird things to my brain). I have a couple of visual novels which are under 12 hours long, but I only replay them once a year because I remember almost every detail.

 

I've been thinking about this a lot, lately. Mine was trained as a healer and killing or causing suffering is completely against what she's all about. But at the same time she feels completely empty on the inside and out of touch with her ideals and herself. Still, it takes her a lot of alcohol to get over some of the stuff she gets to do as Inquisitor. 

 

I think being a soldier, or a warrior, or a trained killer (of other people) of any kind isn't particularly good for your health. You can see this even now with vets who struggle to adjust to civillian life and often develop PTSD. Whilst I imagine warfare isn't anywhere near as intense if you're a hunter or a mercenary in Thedas, I can imagine it'd be a very difficult profession to live with. I wouldn't really fault anyone who struggles to come to terms with killing people for a living.

I had one inquisitor who followed Cole's advice 99% of the time. Made for an interesting situation in the Temple of Mythal.

*distraught yelling about "pointless waste of life" and "maybe you should have done the rituals"*

"Look, vhenan, it's a bummer we couldn't work peacefully with these elves. But the spirit who can read minds recommended skipping the rituals, so they probably wouldn't have worked anyway."

"But I know they would have worked! I... saw it in the Fade!"

"Solas, you can't have dreamed in this ruin. These sentinels attacked me on sight, they definitely wouldn't have let a city elf wander in. Cole's the expert here."

Only you forget that the one urging the loudest about completing rituals was Morrigan She certainly wasn't an ancient elf and didn't visit the place, yet knew enough about ancient elves and their language to be adamant that doing rituals would likely benefit Inquisitor. Same with Solas - considering that he knows even more about Elvenhan and elvhen culture and language, there's no reason NOT to follow his advice.
