I'm pretty exhausted, had to get up early and go to work before having a class in the evening. So I'm basically just hanging out before it's time to go to bed (which is soon, it's almost half past ten - yeah!). Hope I can sleep better than last night, I kept waking up every so often, that was annoying.

I did it! It still needs editing but I managed to muster up 1200 words from egghead perspective. It's  late and I can't continue the chapter from much easier OC POV today anymore, but I don't care. T'was not easy.

 

I shall dream of insignificant gremlins tonight.

Um, i just realized something. We joke about the ME3 red, blue, and green endings once in a while, but it seems that these three colors represent the primary sources of power in DAI. For example, red lyrium, blue lyrium, and the veil/fade. I don't know if Bioware just really likes these colors or what. It's funny that red lyrium is basically destructive, blue is used to help with/control magic, and the veil is like the opposite of synthesis. If you bring down the veil, then the fade and earth will merge. I don't know if all of this is just a coincidence or perhaps they use red, blue and green because they are primary colors and are easy to distinguish from each other.

 

Edit: In DA4, we will smush the powers of red lyrium, blue lyrium, and the fade together to make a white crystal that will be used to fight against Solas.

 

Well, those are primary colors, which basically means that thy're iconic = easy to remember or see the differences.

I wrote 2 pages last night to the beginning of a chapter and now I look at it and go, ugh, is that too out there? I know where I'm going with it, but it might be too vague and have readers going, wait, what. pfft ok her story just got too weird see ya.

I'm low too and only have a few classes. I pretty much only play duelist, though I've also tried Keeper for a bit but maging isn't my usual style. And in the beginning I got teams of strangers where people kept running away  from me. Like, get back here because I can help you people. Nope, my barriers went rejected.

 

I'll have to add you all in here later when I've got Origin up on my other PC.

I'm curious about Thedas birth control. Someone posted a codex for some type of herb before that seemed to be meant to prvent pregnancy, but I wonder how it works. Seabane from Graceling or Moon Tea from ASOIAF? I'm opting for Seabane myself please! Maybe mages can make Fade condoms *.* yes, I know I am a weirdo!

As a mother of a tween I can relate. Some days I'm like argh you're killing me smalls!

 

Funny story. Years ago when the kidlings were smaller, and when I actually talked to my sister (which I don't, can't stand her, she's like my personal Vivienne damn hypocritical B****) Anyway we were visiting my brother, and his wife made a comment.

 

"The whole time you have been here do you realize that neither of you has disciplined your own kids, but instead mothered each others children?" Yeah, we have completely different approaches to how to raise our kids.

 

My mother told me two days ago that I shouldn't let my daughter talk to me the way she does and I had to bite my tongue to keep from saying. "Oh, like you never stopped my sister from talking to you disrespectfully? Cause ya know she treats you even worse than mine treats me." But I didn't. It's a sore spot with the fam. My Aunts and grandmother love me and hate her (sister) because she is a mouthy disrespectful piece, and she is our mother's favorite, even though my mother and I are like personality twins. 

 

One of mine love to shred paper as a child. She made confetti out of everything. We had to hide all the books. She brought me a piece of paper one day maybe she was 2? "I could rip it if you tell me to."

It's so sad to see their childhood innocence leave them as they turn into these self-absorbed hormonal creatures. My 13 year old little sister has become what I detested as a middle schooler. A popular, stuck up, and shallow gremlin... of course I was all those things minus popular. At least she still watches anime with me! Although she hides it from her popular friends 

 

I understand sibling and mother issues all to well Kadan! Now I haven't gotten into any "stopped talking to them for months" fights with my siblings... probably due to the fact that I live with most of them and the ones I don't live with fight with each other making me play mediator. But on the mother end of that -.- uh. I feel your pain. My youngest three siblings say and do things to my mother that I would have been *shudders to think about* for if I tried it! My youngest sister is treated like a baby. She's 10 and my mother will coddle her like a small child, doing her homework for her and making her food whenever she asks for it  . I hate it! It isn't as bad as my yongest brother and my mother's relationship though. She lets him get away with everything and she out right admited to m,e onvce he was her favorite (not joking context)! That woman has 7 kids! She can't go around picking favorites and then telling her other children about it!

But we all went through the teenage phase, and I know that personally, I was not a fun person between the ages of 13 and 17.  I started to even out by the end of high school.  And maybe picked up a few shreds of maturity over college 

 

Our secretary at work has two teenagers, a 14 year old girl and a 16 year old boy and they're driving her ballistic.  Our lab studies sex hormones, so when she starts in on her teenagers, we all just go, "Yeah, they'll hate you and the entire world because their poor brains are literally drowning in hormones." We have, in our mad-scientist moments, tossed around the idea of somehow regulating hormones so they ramp up slowly over puberty instead of hitting you all at once, but that would probably cause all sorts of developmental irregularities.  Alas.

I can relate. My brother is frickin called 'The Golden Child' When he is around we are relegated to 'wait, who are you again? Oh right yes, sorry I forgot your brother was in town you see and....

Huh.  I assumed they'd stop supporting it after they stopped making content for ME3.  I guess not.  Are there still enough people playing to field full teams?

I've never played ME3MP. It sort of didn't interest me at the time. I only played ME3 a year after it came out so everyone was super ranked and wanted other people who knew what they were doing by that point.
