Huh.  I assumed they'd stop supporting it after they stopped making content for ME3.  I guess not.  Are there still enough people playing to field full teams?

I've had no trouble with finding a team so far. Yesterday my only restriction was a bronze match, today I added specific enemies and I joined as a 4th member on a team which currently had the second wave of enemies. I also played with friends, at one point we had 1 public spot and that got filled without a problem (the guest was also very skillful (and a male turian for added bonus))

And if you're an only child like me, you don't have fewer issues, just extra parent issues :P

My cousin was an only child until she was 16. Her parents divorced when she was young and both remarried. Talk about parent sibling issues. I despise her dad, he's the uncle no girl should ever be around.

Edit.

I was going to add a picture to the post above, but something was screwing with my browser, most likely bad script with Adobe Flash. It kept freezing on me.

Engineer <3 I haven't played as an engineer in the main game, but started with that on MP. It is heavenly, the battle drone is my new best friend.

@Cee, I was VERY rusty when I started yesterday, but nobody kicked me off the team so the current players seem to be nice.

Edit: I have a suspicion that I might've been kicked out today, but that was purely my fault. That environment was NOT suited for using a sniper rifle, but I couldn't stop trying to snipe everything.

I grew up an only child. I do have an 11-year old sister from my dad's second marriage, but she is growing up far away and so we have an interesting relationship since I'm an adult and all. I mean, I'm old enough to have an 11 year old at this point. She's great though. She's super clever and creative. Dad feels like he has a bit of a second chance to fix some mistakes since my parents both dropped out of college to have me, marry, work, and they divorced. I don't think either of my parents was extremely ready to be parents and there were some rougher times when I was slightly older, post-divorce.

My dad is definitely a much better parent now.

My likes disappeared. Details like this are what I love about the game, though.

New plan to draw out apocalypse boyfriend: Go on lots of expeditions to the Hissing Wastes, and do nothing but collect lots of Whitestalk. Make sure Solas' agents see it. Betcha he'll show up in no time :D

Hmm, that might be an issue. I've only played Mass Effect as an infiltrator, and that's what I'd play in multiplayer too, since it's what I know.

Sniping is still really fun! You get a bonus for headshots and everything. When I play with friends, at least 2 out of 4 use a sniper rifle and we're doing great (unless it's that one stupid level).

I've always sucked at sniping.  The only way I managed it in ME2/3 single-player was the class-specific sniper slowdown.  Missing with the Widow is painful, and I make a much better Space Mage.

Green isn't primary.  That's yellow.

Green IS a primary color in additive color model - https://en.wikipedia.../Additive_color

Why do you think the color model for your screen (any screen really) is RGB (Red-Green-Blue)? :)

That's because your screen mixes three primary colors for us to see all the rest. And yes - the yellow we see on screen is simply an illusion!

Also, yellow itself is a primary color in subtractive color model - https://en.wikipedia...btractive_color

And considering that in case of magic, most effects we deal with are related to light, hence we'd mostly use an additive color model.... Though I like to point out that we see "yellow" (divine?) magic that is probably the rarest - both Justinia's ghost is golden and the beam of light the orb shoots to close the re-opened Breach is golden as well.

Um, i just realized something. We joke about the ME3 red, blue, and green endings once in a while, but it seems that these three colors represent the primary sources of power in DAI. For example, red lyrium, blue lyrium, and the veil/fade. I don't know if Bioware just really likes these colors or what. It's funny that red lyrium is basically destructive, blue is used to help with/control magic, and the veil is like the opposite of synthesis. If you bring down the veil, then the fade and earth will merge. I don't know if all of this is just a coincidence or perhaps they use red, blue and green because they are primary colors and are easy to distinguish from each other.

Edit: In DA4, we will smush the powers of red lyrium, blue lyrium, and the fade together to make a white crystal that will be used to fight against Solas.

Yeah, and each game had a main color!

The Warden was blue, Hawke was red, and the Inquisitor is obviously lots of green!

I wonder what the next color will be!? My vote goes for purple protag! Although that's probably only a little more likely than a pink or brown one!

Is ME3MP still being supported?

But we all went through the teenage phase, and I know that personally, I was not a fun person between the ages of 13 and 17.  I started to even out by the end of high school.  And maybe picked up a few shreds of maturity over college   :P

Our secretary at work has two teenagers, a 14 year old girl and a 16 year old boy and they're driving her ballistic.  Our lab studies sex hormones, so when she starts in on her teenagers, we all just go, "Yeah, they'll hate you and the entire world because their poor brains are literally drowning in hormones."  :D We have, in our mad-scientist moments, tossed around the idea of somehow regulating hormones so they ramp up slowly over puberty instead of hitting you all at once, but that would probably cause all sorts of developmental irregularities.  Alas.

*puts on physicist hat*

Red, blue, and green are the primary colors of light.

That sounds like an awesome job Sable! My younger teenage self was a mess of depression and social awkwardness -.- sometimes I rather forget the whole experience. I was so so self-centered too. It's almost amazing how close teens are to adults yet how far they are too!

I can relate. My brother is frickin called 'The Golden Child' When he is around we are relegated to 'wait, who are you again? Oh right yes, sorry I forgot your brother was in town you see and....

You are never too old, or too young to have sibling/parent issues. :)

Too true... sadly too true  -_- age does not always beget maturity and understanding. I can only imagine the drama my family will have when we're all out of the house living our own lives. There will probably be many a excuse for not making it for the holidays.

I actually have a pretty close relationship with my siblings, but who knows how it will change when the youngest of them are adults.

Speaking of siblings and trying to tie this back in to DA, all the sibling relationships in Inquisition were pretty awesome. Josephine's vaguely reminded me of my own, and Cassandra and Blackwall's were just so sad. I don't know what I'd do if I lost one of my siblings. You could tell Cassandra and her brother were close, and the way Blackwall carried his sister's ghost really surprised me. I bet it was made worst by the death of the kids he inadvertently killed.

You're remembering the discussion about Witherstalk. http://dragonage.wik...iki/Witherstalk

From the codex, it seems you make a brew with the sap and drink it.

Haha, yeah that was it!

The writers had some fun. :)

After reading that, it was amusing to find them growing in the wild.

I should read the codexes more often!

Anyone have any favorites?

Ah, but you have to remember the more siblings you have the more power plays and vying for parental affection and attention. My mom and dad had seven kids (ranging 10-24) including me. My younger siblings are always fighting for my mom's approval and I'd be lying if I said I didn't do the same thing with my dad's. What? Yes I did just do the dishes and the rest of the kitchen while David sat on his lazy arse playing video games. It's because I'm the best!

Maker, I'd go insane.

I have the opposite problem from you--way too much parental attention over every little detail.  But my parents and I get along great now that we permanently live 400 miles apart :D  I love them, but we just don't have very much in common, and they get smothering if we spend too much time together.  So we see each other a few times a year, over holidays or long weekends, and that's perfect.

It could stand to pay more, but that's true of most jobs :P

I'd rather forget it sometimes too, but it's valuable to remember, especially since I'd like to have kids of my own someday.  As Albus Dumbledore says, "Youth cannot know how age thinks and feels, but old men are guilty if they forget what it was to be young."

Oh Maker me too! Whenever I try to use a sniper I feel like just then is the time creatures appear before me and start running towards me! I'm much better at stabby close range in games where it matters. It doesn't at much in DA since I can look away while firing my staff and know that it's still going to be hitting something.

The ME3MP has a melee Infiltrator variant that's basically Kasumi with a sword.  Cloak, stab someone in the back, cloak and sneak away.  I found it to be lots of fun, even if I was terrible at it.   So damn squishy, but really good for taking down tricky targets, especially siege enemies and snipers.

That actually sounds nice. I wonder what a few hundred miles would do for our relationships ^_^

Of course I think I'd miss my nieces and nephews terribly if I moved to far away. They grow up so fast that in only a few months they'll be completely different.

OK, native speakers, I need some help with a grammar/writing question.

So I know that when talking about the past and referring to something that had happened in the past before that past, we say "had done".

So if I'm narrating that Solas remembers waking up cranky in the morning, the grammatically correct way to say it should be: "He had woken up cranky that day."

But that sounds clunky to me. Am I right that it sounds clunky? (I don't always have the same sense of what sounds right and what doesn't as native speakers do.)

So is it OK to just use past tense? "He woke up cranky that day." Or would that sound incorrect, because the time frame I'm referring to is 5-6 hours after he woke up?

Bonus question: What about replacing 'that day' with 'today'? Does that sound right?  "He had woken up cranky today."

Thanks so much!  <3

It'll sound less clunky (and still be grammatically correct) if you use an contraction.  "He'd woken up cranky today."  Solas doesn't use many contractions in his actual speech, but IMO it's fine in narration.
