Bookkeeper updated, and I am sure there's a whole gigantic mess with past tenses. But, meh. I always had problems with the complicated English system of speaking in past...

Some concept: (finding an original post on Tumblr following a Google link is hard.)

For those interested in multiplayer on PC (you can download it for free, just make sure you get both the multiplayer DLC packs): I've made a chatroom on origin called "Blanket Fort Armada" and am adding those that didn't play today. So you might see an invite when you go online next, and if you want an invite just ask :D.

I'll promote everyone to admin so they can add whoever they want.

After raiding on an intense level as a primary healer for about half a year in WoW, I am not sure I should give people another try. Not that it wasn't fun... but it often really wasn't fun but a job instead.

Hmm.

These are my absolute favorite Halloween candy. The Caramel Apple Pops. Soft Caramel around a sour apple sucker. I grabbed 4 bags at the store yesterday B)

Since I'm out of likes again. Everyone that posted their child hood antics gets one.

Would you believe there's no such thing as a Halloween in neither my country of origin neither here in south? :P We have a "Spirit Day", or "Soul Day" (same date as Halloween), where you honour your dead, are sad and brooding the entire day, visit graveyards, care for graves, put flowers and small gifts there, and remind yourself of the deceased in a better light.

No candy, no kids running around, that stuff.

I always found Halloween rather odd on those grounds. :D

On the other hand we do have rather weird tradition of whipping women with willow stalks during Easter.

--

Need to play DA:I again. Continue my Seramancing dwarf, make a new Qunari for her, or make a human for Cullen... hmmm... have to avoid elves, for reasons.

I think our Halloween is rather silly. Something that honors our ancestors would be a much more interesting day to me. Like the Day of the Dead in Mexico. We Americans have some rather silly celebrations. They have lost most of their original meanings over the years.

I actually have been avoiding the game altogether, aside from the MP games the last two nights. I'm not sure I can put myself through that again just yet. I need to write fluffier stuff.

I was a bit of a tom boy too!  I had so many Transformers.  I always got along better with boys.  That carried on right through to adulthood.  I was a good kid so my parents were pretty lenient with me as a teen, and I never took advantage of that.  I had no curfew.  They were ok, for the most part, with drinking/partying.  In my circle of friends our parents would rather know we were safe than sneak around.  Can't really stop teens from being teens.  I would be lucky if I had a kid just like myself.

So many ex-tomboys :P
I am still a tomboy, less than before (used to wear boy clothes, played LEGO, loved power rangers and video games, and had only male friends) but I still steer clear from skirts/dresses/heels, never wore makeup in my life and I have only male friends (though I wish I had female friends because most guys are.. too guy-ish for me  <_<).

We don't have Halloween, period

I used to love maps. I would read local maps, my dad's road maps, globes, feel the ridges with my fingers. The library always had free bus maps, which also served as local maps, and while I wandered, I also had an idea of where I was and it would get me to explore more. So not only did I learn to orient myself that way but the maps gave me an overall idea that served as a mental guide for further exploration.

OH GOD I love maps. Still do. I think there is nothing more aesthetically pleasing in this world than the London tube map, except maybe J.M.W. Turner paintings. I know as a kid I was fascinated by maps and place names, particularly if it also involved trains (my other vice, I had a massive wooden trainset as a kid, my favourite thing).

As a kid, I was mostly pretty good, quiet, read lots. I know there's one bad incident my mother never lets me forget about - one time, I was forced into a dress for my friend's 3rd birthday party, but I didn't like it, so I ripped myself out of it. Got to wear a t-shirt and leggings to the party instead. :wizard:

Thanks, guys!  I've learned that I do not entirely suck at DAMP, and the Avvar dude's comments are hilarious.  Protect the tiny elf!  FernRain, Kadan, and Garnet: thanks for graciously carrying the noob :)

I'm in the same boat.  I learned to write fanfiction via the Harry Potter fandom, and while everyone was very nice, they were also unapologetic about constructive criticism.  It helped me get better and develop a thick skin toward criticism very quickly, but not everyone learned in that kind of environment.  Or even has any interest in it.

Nowadays if the author didn't ask for criticism (either here on the thread or as part of their fic), I don't give it.  And unfortunately, it's gotten me in the habit of being lazy about feedback.  I'm trying to break that habit now.

Yeah, I'm trying to break that habit too. Even if I liked the chapter, I try and think of one thing specifically that I liked so they know what they're doing well. In my ANs, I try and think of one thing I want feedback on or am unsure about as to encourage people to be honest about that aspect of the story. I might tag my fiction with 'Constructive Criticism Welcome' as to encourage it.

I had a thing for flags from different countries. I would switch favourite regularly and pretend I was born in that country because I liked the flag. Didn't help that I was a raging mythomaniac as a child, and I was REALLY good at it so people usually believed me.

When I started attending a kindergarten at about 4 years of age, I told the teachers that me and my family had traveled to Bosnia Herzegovina over the weekend to bury my grandmother who died in the war (I had seen on television that there was a war in Bosnia, then they showed the Bosnian flag and I was hooked). This was, of course, completely made up. My grandmother was born in Sweden and is still alive and well. The kindergarten teacher offered her sincere condolences to my mother when she picked me up later that day, the confusion was severe  :D

I also had a habit of catching flies that sunbathed on the outer wall of our house. I removed their wings and then carefully placed them in spiderwebs to watch them get eaten......yeah

And once I felt like being nice to one of our neighbors who was an elderly lady with quite a lot of body fat. I ringed her doorbell (I think I was 6), promptly told her "My mother thinks you are fat, but I don't think so!", gave her a big smile and left.

I remember she looked very surprised and a bit sad, I still get embarrassed and tend to hide my face under the nearest blanket when I think about it today :pinched:  Poor lady...

OMG!

This is gorgeous!

And she looks like mine, especially after haircut change. I love it, and the colours...

Perfection.

Back in Origins, when I first heard  I am the one it made me think of Elves and their time and what was lost. It seems I wasn't far from truth.
I've searched for lyrics but couldn't find it... That changed with DA:I. This is my favourite song and one I like to hum when no one is nearby.

As to the question - I believe it is about Solas, but it was never confirmed (and shouldn't be in my opinion). Or maybe it's about Inquisitor? Or maybe about both. Though it fits more to Solas, Inquisitor is not always an elf after all. Just look at the lyrics.

I feel sun
Through the ashes in the sky.
Where's the one
Who'll guide into the night?

What's begun
Is the war that will
Force this divide.

What's to come
Is fire and the end of time.

I am the one
Who can recount
What we've lost.

I am the one
Who will live on.

I have run
Through the fields
Of pain and sighs.

I have fought
To see the other side.

I am the one
Who can recount
What we've lost.

I am the one
Who will live on.

I used to do this a lot. Mostly houses being renovated or for sale, but also one door on the neighborhood church used to always be open, and I'd sneak down to the basement.

But I was mostly just insatiably curious. Read about things, have questions, explore stuff, read a lot, spend time watching science TV - dissections, operations, space exploration, nature documentaries. But when I actively touched or explored places and things, I'd always be careful and super honest about everything.

I was such a tiny cinnamon roll of curiosity.

Oh, yes, the sneaking into empty house thing! I grew up where a lot of houses were getting built, and I think I visited them all at one point or another, just because I could and it was cool. Then, there was that neighborhood of half-built, abandoned mcmansion, super dangerous has some had half burned down that I loved to visit. The excitement! Until the day me and a friend stumbled upon squatter and were chased away lol. Never went back after that and they ended up demolishing them soon afterward. I must have been about 10 at the time.

I'm still fascinated by those pictures of people doing urban exploration of abandoned buildings to this day and part of me would really like to try it too.

I also used to lock myself in the bathroom and mix every single liquid (and sometime solid) products I could find there, from shampoo to bath cleaner. I was doing alchemy! Never caught caught at it, but oh, the poor drains...

We also used to play those make believe games with one of my friend until I was in about 6th grade where we'd act stories that we invented and played character and everything. I remember them being quite bloody sometimes (human sacrifices! Will you be the victim? no, you... no, you be it!) and we'd spook each other with how into the characters we'd become.

Also had a period where I would steal from stores *hangs head in shame* Never big objects and always worth less than a dollar. My favorite were those little bath oil animals they used to sell. I would collect them in a secret little stash my bedroom. that stopped in a hurry when I almost got caught by an employee though.

Haha, spiders need to eat! (unfortunately I don't think anyone used the spiderwebs for treating wounds in our neighborhood like in Skyhold  :D )

I became very good at stalking them in slow motion (so that they didn't notice me) and then grabbing them quickly when I got close enough. Poor neighbors must've though I was crazy since I did this on our house wall facing the street - they would just see a small kid standing with her face inches from the wall, doing slow motion movements
