Ouch, that's a tough one I would say.
Like, I don't even really know where to begin on that one. I mean, obviously copy/paste stuff is mega wrong, but it really is a hard line to find when you are trying to see where things went from "this was inspired by" to "slightly altered and made it mine"
IMO, doesn't matter. Using someone else's ideas without permission or credit is plagiarism. Doesn't matter if you alter the word choice, doesn't matter if it's art or fanfiction. That said, people react very poorly to being accused of plagiarism, and it can be unintentional.
Kadan, my two cents: send them a courteous PM saying that you appreciate their support of your work, and that you would appreciate credit for your ideas. Perhaps an "inspired by" line in the summary, or a link back to your story in the author's note. If you're not comfortable with the idea of a story similar to yours at all, maybe gently point them toward a writing blog to help differentiate your stories. IMO at this point, most reasonable people will be ok with either sharing credit or taking their story in a different direction.
After raiding on an intense level as a primary healer for about half a year in WoW, I am not sure I should give people another try. Not that it wasn't fun... but it often really wasn't fun but a job instead.
Hmm.
If last night was any indication, DAMP with us is pretty much the opposite of "intense."

Try "goofy" or in my case, "derpy." I don't think I hit with half the abilities on the Avvar the first time i tried him.
So many ex-tomboys

I am still a tomboy, less than before (used to wear boy clothes, played LEGO, loved power rangers and video games, and had only male friends) but I still steer clear from skirts/dresses/heels, never wore makeup in my life and I have only male friends (though I wish I had female friends because most guys are.. too guy-ish for me

).
I'm finally getting over my allergy to skirts/dresses. I dyed purple streaks in my hair a few months ago, and I finally know how to do my own makeup

Basically I discovered geek chic and was like, "Yes, I can wear Harry Potter and Cthulhu dresses."
