I have and it was brilliantly heartbreaking.
All of those sound amazing. I hope you guys don't mind me lingering around.
Nope, go ahead and linger! We do meander all over the place nowadays; it's harder to stay on topic when you know you're going to be waiting a while for the next game. But we always come back to the egghead.

Heheh... all roads posts lead to Rome the Egg.
Hey guys, I'm new and just finished the Trespasser DLC... Safe to say that I am in need of this thread.
If they don't continue this story in the next game, I'm going to be hugely disappointed.
Welcome to the thread! The blanket fort is here for you! Also cookies, but don't eat the raisin ones because I think those are really deep mushroom....

The raisin cookies are not deep mushroom. Here, have a raisin cookie!
The best part is it seems like someone actually went to a Starbucks and used the name Solas for coffee
I never use my real name at Starbucks. For the last three months I've been Cassandra ![]()
So I'm kinda wondering.. After Life is Strange 5
Spoiler
Of course, consequences can also be a deterrent. I'd never not kill Loghain, because I could never do that to Alistair.
Having let Loghain live in one playthrough with a particularly pragmatic dwarf, and having some really honest conversations with the guy, I now actively struggle to kill him, precisely because RPGs are so good at allowing you to empathise and relate with characters. Especially since the redemption ending puts you back into the good books with Alistair - he says he's no longer mad at you, and it seems like everyone's got what they've wanted and been put through minimal trauma (except possibly Morrigan, but eh). The only exception is the City Elf origin, where everyone the Warden had grown up with, including Cyrion, was at risk of being enslaved - if not already shipped off to Tevinter before she arrived. That's just unforgivable when it's so personal.

Hello there! Welcome to the fold! ![]()
We're a friendly bunch, we often share fanfiction and art (some of us even welcome it!), and we always have some blankets and cookies and .gifs of fuzzy animals on hand if you're ever in need. Which you probably will be, after Trespasser. I completely agree, I'd be really disappointed if they didn't follow up Solas, (or Solavellan) in the next game - it'd be almost negligent.
I want to get paid to be offended. That's brilliant, lol
ME TOO. I'm very good at it. Easiest job I'd ever get paid to do.
Uuuugh, guys, seriously need some cookies and hugs. Sweden just had a school killing, a guy with a sword
I know a girl who goes to that school, but fortunately she is unharmed.
Sorry for the random depressing post, just needed to vent somewhere. Don't really know what to do or think right now. Really afraid that this will give inspiration to similarly minded monsters
Oh my god I'm so sorry, that's awful. I hope you're holding up okay and things look up for your friend. Stay safe ![]()
Also, here is, as requested, a hug:

It's the gameplay version of curling into a ball and sobbing to yourself.
My Pricefield hellspiralling is actually worse than my Solavellan hellspiralling. Which says a damn lot about Life is Strange.
All right, gradschool AU time. Because I'm in need of fluff, and I figure the LiS players are too
Spoiler
(Oh, and the bit about the fork in the microwave? That's a real thing. My Disney Princess roommate did that freshman year
)
AAAAHHH MERRRILLL AS A STUDENT
![]()
Also, seriously, I'm super clumsy and bad at menial DIY stuff, but I always thought you had to be born under a rock to not know to never put metal in a microwave. That's... embarrassing, really, for your roommate.

I wasn't kidding when I called her my "Disney Princess" roommate ![]()
She was seriously the sweetest cinnamon roll ever; basically Cole + Merrill
Her family was very wealthy in her home country, and she'd always had maids growing up. So this girl didn't know how to do anything. Boil water, microwave, do laundry, zip. She didn't even know basic safety things like "Don't wander around drunk at 2 AM." There were three of us in the apartment, so my other roommate and I spent most of the first two weeks teaching her things so she wouldn't die or catch the apartment on fire
Thankfully, she was a quick study.
I was horrified when I read the news, and when you have worked as a teacher yourself... I have no idea what I would have done in a similar situation. It just hurts inside to think of the victims and their families. I'm glad your friend is okay!
A big hug from me to you!

oh my god, I could imagine with any other person that'd be insufferable, but Cole + Merrill? That's really sweet. Good thing she learned though, that sounds like it could have ended in disaster otherwise. And also puts into perspective how bad I was as a fresher: I was relatively naive and sheltered, couldn't cook, never had drank before or done anything wrong, but I was nowhere near that bad ![]()
Wooh, ok, so I finally completed my first chapter of my Modern girl in Ancient Elvhenan and I would love a beta to look over it!
It's not that long, right at the 2,000 words mark.
I would love a second opinion
Anytime you want I'd be happy to return the favor.

Just finished the latest chapter of Looking Glass.

On topic:

I wish I had the source but google isn't cooperating with reverse searching.
*researching mental traits and inner thoughts of assassins and hitmen*
.....yeah....I don't know if I could write what goes on in Zevran's head.
......I want to. But this seems advanced.

Maybe not as advanced as something like a 5000 year old being that is on a mega guilt trip dealing with the Sims he made and got attached to. That's a pretty bad mental space to be in. I'd rank that as higher.

I was really looking forward to the next chapter from Mayriya's point of view. Zevran is already something great to experience through the female eye ![]()

Maybe the difference between the elvhen and the elves is the difference between real life and fictional narratives, and Solas is the only Dragon Age character who realises they're actually in a video game. Has to explain to all his elvhen bros that he's got a 2d (the d stands for dalish) waifu who is made of thousands of pixels and that he considers her more important than their dead empire.
I mean that's just embarrassing no wonder Solas can't admit that he's wrong about them.

Oh it will be.
But I do sit and get curious sometimes and start thinking "wtf is going on in his head about this?"
I was thinking much later.
You know how Solas' cute ears sometimes bend back when he talks or when he is feeling emotional? I wonder if that's something that all elves do or it is specially animated for him to make him seem more wolf-like.

Felassan doesn't even have a waifu, and he thinks the pixels are better than their empire.

Are they? I have to be honest, I don't really see his or any elves' ears move - I get the impression that, since his ears are so prominent against his bald head, they may appear as if they are animated, while it's simply a matter of angles his face is in a given cadre. I mean, with long, triangular ears, especially if a person is kinda gluing their chin to the neck and look at others from 'under the eye', all dangerous or suspicious, all elves can look kinda 'wolfish' - and especially those with short hair/no hair and very triangular and long faces ![]()
HI GUYS!
I have a question!
Trespasser had Solas speaking Qunlat, do you think this is something he gained from his taking power from Mythal, from speaking to spirits, or some other way?
Do you think he knows all the possible languages now?

Hmm, maybe you're right. I could have sworn they moved a few times though.

The Fade.
He learned how to speak Qunlat during his journeys through the Fade. ![]()
Actually, that might for real be how he learned it. ![]()

Obviously learned it from his travels in the fade.
Felassan doesn't even have a waifu, and he thinks the pixels are better than their empire.
And that is why Felassan is Best Elf.

He had to do something in those three thousand years sleeping right? I imagine, as a dreamer who gains sustenance off the fade, he wasn't completely unaware of what was going on, the fade reflects reality to an extent.
I do wish it'd been more unambiguous as to how long Solas had been awake though - that would allow for more wiggle room in terms of becoming accustomed to modern society. For instance, I seriously doubt that Common existed until after the Fall, and if we assume Solas was doing nothing in those thousands of years asleep then he had to learn it to a fluent standard within a year. The only way we can get around that is by arguing Solas wasn't entirely lying about learning a lot from fade-walking, I imagine he'd have seen reflections and snippets of the changes that had occurred, but only understood the magnitude of that change when he finally woke.
I mean the other solution could be that he's just a special snowflake but that's nowhere near as fun.
