I like to think of us as cultured.

In the bacterial sense? Or the ancient Elvhen mystery detectives line of exploration? ;)

Also, Fly'Harel is apparently a pirate.

Can we be both?

I mean......those bacteria dish painting were pretty cool.

Fly'Harel decided he wanted some of my lovingly made pasta for lunch today :(

Am currently not impressed. Bit surprised, though, he's the only person so far who has truly appreciated by culinary genius (that's a joke, I am a rubbish cook).

I personally like the idea of being an eccentric bacterial culture which is slightly infectious/causes strange symptoms when in contact with actual human beings, and they find they might just get attached to us Gremlins. (I have no idea how science works sorry).

The agents of Fly'Harel were hanging out while I made coffee earlier. It is a network that spans far and wide, and demonstrates the skill we will require.

Poor Fly'Harel has had no luck here recently. All his agents have died and you can still find their husks scattered close to windows.

Good morning!

Fly'Harel considers herself a woman, and no one has come forth with scientific proof that she's a man yet.

She can take many forms in the Fade, but this is her most preferred one for shape-shifting:

Also, I  <3  <3  <3  you all so much! So does Fly'Harel! (Even if her cookies are somewhat questionable.)

Edit: Also, I ran out of likes within 5 minutes of logging on here today. So just assume I like everything you post. I probably do :D

LOL, when I saw this the first thing I thought of was in situ hybridization which I used to do a lot of! Soooo, this image is a total win!  <3  <3  <3  <3

See, look at this thread this morning.

Recovering from last night's....theory crafting, talking about Fly'Harel, bacteria, DNA, coffee......

All while I'm chilling here writing what look like a two part chapter(can a chapter have two parts? Second part may end up a standalone....can't tell yet.....maybe one giant chapter.....)and watching some youtube channel with the little miss of opening MLP blind bags.

(I'm not supposed to be awake, but I read scary stories on reddit and here I am trying to feel better).

I'm glad you liked it Dodo (lol autocorrect!!) Droso  ;). I tried putting ears on it but I felt like it detracted from the germyness. And it's saying yar probably because I kept hearing Venatori yelling it in the multiplayer .

I'm in the weirdest mood since I planned to sleep at a semi-decent hour and then didn't because boyfriend's friend posted a clipped message to Facebook at 3am saying he was being mugged at such and such location and to call 911. Boyfriend messaged him, he said he needed help, bf called for him and we waited. He had been talking to me about it worried so I wasn't able to just go off to bed. He heard from his friend this morning and he's okay and had reported everything to the police.

So now I'm in a silly mood, tired, a bit feelsy, and my brain is running off with fic ideas. Now that I got that one chapter out of the way, I think I'm jumping back into the past, but I also keep thinking I should just concentrate on one time period.

You can totally do chapters that are split or even standalones that don't necessarily belong within anything. Sometimes that's just where the creative energy goes.

The lackeys with swords shout "Yar!" when they come after you. I've wondered what the Spellbinders say, Latin? Made up? Tevinter?

Also I hope you got a laugh out of that auto correct to Dodo . I couldn't edit fast enough.

I'm just wondering if ummm...well.....part two....is looking smutty.

And I know not everyone likes to read that kind of stuff.

So I was thinking about taking the second part and just setting it to the side with a note pointing to it.

Then again, it's also my story so I could just be like *shrug* sorry

Is it better to cut the smut over to something separate? (These are questions I never saw myself asking. At any point in life.)

Yeah, use the silliness to your advantage! It must be such a great feeling to be free of that chapter that's been burdening you and move on to better things.

I want to experience that feeling :( I'm seriously stuck on this stupid Vivienne chapter. Why did it have to fit the plot so well?! I could just scrap it. Who needs plot anyway?

You know when you hear birds outside and you haven't slept that you've gone too far..

OT question: do you hear birds in big cities like NY? In the inner city, where I can't imagine there are trees? I'll trade you the ones squarking outside now for silence. It is not time! ._. ....

Either way works. Purely your decision.

What I was planning to do was just post a warning on my chapter itself. So anyone not in the mood for smut can just skip that one chapter and move to the next one.

I don't really hear them over the traffic....but if I go into a little park or something I do.

I'm not in NYC, but a decent size city.

I miss small town though. I like that sounds of birds in the morning.

And I love the sounds of night in the country.

It's your story, so if you want to include the smut, I would say to just label and warn accordingly. If you think it can be separated, then you might do that but if it simply all flows best together, then your warnings should be enough to skip it for those who aren't smut fans.

Then, maybe just make reference to any important events very briefly in your next chapter in case people skipped it.

Partly. Part of it is relief in doing what I wanted to do and yet...the next parts are something like: Well, now that I have Rodan established a little, I'll have to actually write him doing what he says he will do. :P And then convey the sense of both duty and vulnerability that will almost certainly bring me back into familiar 'feels and angst' territory.  And try to do that well enough.

But I'm getting ahead of myself. I have still been using Quoll and doing a bunch of notes and organization, which should help. I'm not sure why the simple kind of weird format works well for me, but it has been. Despite some things I really dislike about the program.

My head today is going into the past stuff I've been wanting to write, so we'll see.

Sometimes there doesn't need to be plot. :P But I believe you'll be able to untie this knot, maybe when you can devote more to it.

I just wrote something!

It is was extremely fun to write but the premise is incredibly stupid!

After disbanding the Inquisition Lavellan decides to open up a relationship advice and counseling office.  I know, it's so dumb!

Her first clients are Dorian and Bull!

http://archiveofouro...g/works/5058886

I would love feedback and suggestions for future clients!

Depends where you go, but there are trees. Even in dense Manhattan they plant trees. That said, some of us live in more residential areas with houses, and you do get birds. I hear birds a lot. We have a local fat raccoon and there's at least one opossum family nearby. But you also get a lot of city noises. I have train tracks nearby. Sometimes it's hardly audible. Sometimes it seems so loud.

At the back of the houses on my street, there's a lot of carved out space on both sides that people use for parking or for their children to play in, and the lack of harsh lights means that it's also really easy to see stars at night from outside there. Sometimes I just step outside my door and look.

And this is relevant because I've been wanting to incorporate/write some stargazing into a fic but couldn't make up my mind if I wanted to do a sort of cliched Solavellan fluff like that or incorporate it into a past story. I think I'm doing the latter.
