I may take some time to catch up then. Mull over a few things about my Zevellan stuff. i now realize that I need to somehow bring up that they slept together without it being sudden or awkward for those who wish to skip that chapter. *kicks self* GD me

And all good, you can call me Mayriya. My Lavellen's name is Aaryn.

Edit: I knew if I complained about it I would think of something! And it's freaking perfect because Halloween is soon!

2ns edit: and now I may be writing and not reading. *sigh*

I can relate xd I didn't read the chapter for a while because I liked writing/thinking about my own fic more XD

Took some will power for me to read it actually. But it was definitely worth it :D

(I guess I'll just call you Mayriya from now on :P )

I'm reading Warhammer 40K novels.  And very confused, because Warhammer 40K is basically the most juvenile, testosterone-ridden, over-the-top grimdark setting ever.  And yet here I am, feeling feels over Space Marines.  For those of you who don't know 40K, this is a Space Marine:

Somehow, the Horus Heresy authors took these ten foot meat shields and made them feel like real people  :crying:  Let's just say I'm glad Patrick Weekes isn't writing for these guys.

At least it was just one chapter for you. I'm like, five behind at this point..........and that girls types up a storm for chapters.

And yes, I mean, as cool as it is to read about Elvhenan and stuff......I just keep having these random, awesome cheesy fluffy things pop in my mind of what to do with these characters loaded with some serious Zevran feels. I feel like this is becoming my big apology for not letting him have my Warden.

You know, when I fall down rabbit holes I tend to just go with it. The fall can be nice.

............I'm not helping am I............

Bunch of enablers around here. Truly. :P

It's not that difficult to do. You should just talk about 'she had come to realize that whatever she had with Solas before, the chapter had closed, and this was more than just fun, it was now, so they made lovely Antivan spice together' etc.

I am not going to make a reference for my own next fic because I already headcanoned them as having gone there before, and it's first love anyway. But in your case, those skipping the smutty chapter can do with a not too detailed recap.

My music playlist tonight would be the kind of thing someone sits and drinks to, dramatically, in a movie. And I don't drink much. I am sitting here finishing cold coffee from two hours ago.

Here's the sort of thing I listen to for gradschool AU: instrumental covers of pop songs :D

That's actually pretty impressive. I love it when these things get turned on their heads.

Maker save me, I found a preview of what looks to be a sweet lesbian Regency romance, and they're debating yellow dresses on the first page...I've just been planning out a yellow dress.

The rabbit hole, it deepens.

Well...I won't tell you to yell "GERONIMOOOOOO!" and leap down the rabbit hole.  But I won't tell you not to do it either  :P

Omg, I love instrumental pop covers. They make even the most ridiculous pop songs amazing.

Seconded.  They're the ones from the ME2 trailer music.

The Piano Guys did the song that I posted, and they're awesome.  These guys are so dedicated to what they do, they went through the trouble of bringing a grand piano to the top of the Great Wall so they could film there  Vitamin String Quartet are another personal favorite.  I might be listening to their cover of This is Halloween on repeat.

Can't wait for Halloween!  Are any of you dressing up?

I got my elf ears all painted to my skin color and ready to go XD

Dressing up in a purple corset and dress and I'm going to make myself look as elfy as possible

Btw, corsets make your boobs look 10x their actual size. It's like magic  :pinched:

Corsets are like the thing that defies all logic in terms of sizing. I have no idea. I read some guide that said my measurements would result in the need to order a 3XL. I'm not even plus-sized, why would I need a corset that big? I think it was taking my boobs and hips into consideration because I'm pretty hourglass shaped but I've never been able to figure it out. So maybe at some point when I can go find one to try on in person.

As for Halloween, I may be going to my mom's, finally. They got the clearance for her procedure and it's next week. I haven't had Halloween plans in ages and I hate it, but what can you do? My boyfriend thinks he's too old for Halloween at 29 and my friends are often all over. I'm broke anyway.

Well, tell him PBBBBBBBT from me.  One is never too old for Halloween.  Or chocolate chip cookies.  Or Fade butts

As for corsets, IMO you're much better off trying them in person with someone who knows what they're doing.  Because they lace up differently on different body shapes, and doing it wrong can cause you a lot of pain and discomfort.  I got mine when the Renaissance faire was in town.  I've been lazy and used my Renaissance faire getup for the last few years, but I just got a black lace dress that I could spruce up for Death of the Endless.

I just borrowed the corset from my friend, who has it in the family. It's a small, and fits both of us fine *shrugs*

Trying one on in person might be good, especially since they are so rigidly built. I was just lucky that my friend's fit me so well

What happened to your mom? ;-; Sorry, I only come on every once in a while over the day, so I probably haven't heard. Is she ok?

My mom is going to need some minor surgery to clean out and close an open wound/sore on her back that isn't healing right. It's probably from time spent in her wheelchair. She had a sore that took almost a year to heal on her foot that she got in her rehab, then had infections, so for a time, she had to keep pressure off her feet, so maybe she leaned back too much. Either way, the foot is healed, so hopefully this will take care of this.  My mom has MS, so a lot of things can pop up.

Yeah, he kind of has an old man or pessimistic attitude on a bunch of things.

As for corsets, I do value the ability to breathe. :D  I think the guide I was looking at was kind of going oh, big boobs, okay size up to infinity. But I've lost some weight since then and hoping to drop a little more so once that's done, I will have to check in person somewhere.

My mom also likely has MS, signs have been showing up. My dad is a neurologist and an MS specialist, my mom also being a doctor, so they think she doesn't have to get diagnosed and that everything will turn out fine, since they're big bad MD's and can take care of her problems themselves. I'm still really worried though x-x

Sorry for your mom. MS can be a pain. Sometimes my dad talks to me about his patients. I don't know the severity of your mom's MS, but I know that it is very hard to live with usually, to some extent. Hope everything turns out well :)

Hopefully I don't get in trouble for talking about boobs in the context of corsets :P

I have an underbust corset, which stops, as the name implies, under my boobs.  It still enhances the overall hourglass figure and makes my boobs look bigger, but since I don't actually have to fit my boobs into the corset itself, it's IMO a little more forgiving in terms of comfort and sizing.

Thanks. I hope your mom does actually have a formal diagnosis though, because it can make treatment paths clearer and it could also rule it out and point to something else. It might also help you relax a little to know for certain. My mom was diagnosed when I was 2, so it's all I've known. But she's hanging in there and is an optimistic person in general.

Well, we've talked about slow arrows and Antivan spice so...this seems tame in comparison. But that definitely sounds like an option.

Also um, putting Nirwen into a dress....possibly....  I'm still working this out since as I've said before on here, dresses aren't really her. But for an AU in which I can incorporate Dalish issues with the idea of ladies pairing up and not doing their supreme duty to go make babies, maybe I'll give her a purple to match her eyes.
