The feels corner is always open. I think I've got a permanent little setup here to go back and forth from.

 

Whatever you're settling on, it sounds like you had a good moment creatively. And that's rewarding even when it's painful. I joke about hating my characters but I've cried writing certain things too.

It was a good moment figuring it out, but then it actually played out in my head........and wow........do I have some serious feels waking up today. I probably dreamed the entire thing and don't remember it.

 

All I can say is that at least I have the knowledge that these characters don't. So, that at least makes me feel better about it all.

Maybe writing out a very rough draft will help let all the sads out, so you can get some fluff ideas?

I'm thinking about doing that actually.

 

Maybe working on it in chunks will soften the blow of what it will be like writing something like this. I mean, I could also be crazy and write it and everyone be like "This didn't make me cry, it made me smile!"

But you're really good with bringing out feels and interweaving them with lightness and humor without detracting from both. So when you say it will make us cry, it will probably make us cry. Oh well, we're Solas fans. Misery's just business as usual at this point.

I've been adding to my fluffy writing playlist on Spotify. I was actually thinking about creating a separate, but collaborative Blanket Fort writing playlist (or more than one if we wanted to go by moods) if anyone else were interested in adding. I'd link/open my current one but about 1/3 of it is in Spanish.

Personally I don't have a problem with the tone shifting from humorous to more angsty if the shift is gradual and makes sense.

Morbid humor would definitely be the only type of humor for that chapter.

Well, I wasn't planning on writing very many chapters from Zev's POV......in fact, this one chapter I figured out last night was initially going to be the only one. But maybe doing a few before it will work.

So, I'm sitting here trying to think up the details of my next chapter and a funny thought crossed my mind about Solas.

 

Imagine Solas.......as the host to one of those Ghost Hunter type of shows. And it's just called "The Fade" and he travels to different locations around the world where people claim the Veil is thin. Solas uses all his.....mage ability or whatever to test if the claim is true or not. And his investigation team is Dorian, Cassandra, Sera and Lavellan. Cullen is there but he's the guy that sits and watches all the screens of video feed they set up all around the location.

 

But the kicker is that the only reason he agreed to host such a show is because he wants to improve the image of spirits. So he freaks out every time he watches the final edit of an episode where they made his visit look all scary with nighttime vision and stuff.

When TV shows (and games of course) kick your favorite characters like a sad puppy and you want to hug them through your screen.

 

 

No spoilers unless you want to/can guess who I'm thinking about from last night's TV that I just watched.

 

This is also how I feel about sad fics and some of your characters. Hugs for all. I mean, unless you're someone who doesn't like hugs or touching (I had a friend like that), but there are substitutes.

 

We need more hug options in our games. Hug Solas. Hug Solas again. Hug Solas in Trespasser.

 

I think it would've helped. Sad wolf puppy.

The thing you have to do in order to get there though.....yeah, Stroud went in my case. There was no way.

 

I would like more hug possibilities in games though. I like moments of intimacy that aren't just the sexy kind.
