Clariel's dad doesn't lecture her, mostly because he feels terrible about the situation.  If it were less serious, she'd get an earful about dating mysterious strangers who turn out to be the Dread Wolf

 

But he's overprotective as all hell.  His current marriage is his second one, and they had her when they were both older and not expecting children at all.  Clariel could be the same age as Nirwen, with the same level of life experience, and he'd still pitch an embarrassing fit 

 

That's more understandable then. I really need to come up with a name for Nirwen's dad, but I do need to write him soon anyway. Honestly, Nirwen is afraid of worrying her parents more, and doesn't quite want to have them fuss over her now being overprotective. She's bold but also feels deeply, and has some stubbornness. But this is also another reason why when she returns, post-Trespasser, Ro will go to their family first, which will prepare them for what needs to happen later. And Nirwen? She goes to Nehn (and her wife and the clan's post-Conclave First, Halina), because they are both her close friends and she'll have their support with her family and also Halina's position. In a way, she spends her life with a smidgen of 'eldest child' anxiety and 'defiant choices' guilt/fear over feeling like she has disappointed them a bit. 

 

So she goes for backup first while little bro fields the parents first.

My favorite colors are dark blue and purple 

 

Mine is red. Not a color a lot of people would associate well with eyes though.

I remember hearing once (And like all things I say that begin with "I remember hearing once," you should probably take it with a grain of salt) that the color people most commonly cite as their favorite is blue. The idea is that blue is the color you see the most in your life, since the sky is blue and the sky is everywhere, so people have come to see it as soothing and familiar no matter where they're from.

 

By that logic, though, you'd think brown would be more popular since it's the color of dirt...

 

Outta likes. Maybe the reason I like green/brown eyes is because I like nature . In fact that is usually why I go for green with Elves. I don't like clear skies or the sea much, which would explain why blue is not a favorite for me.

 

This guy has amazing eyes, and was the inspiration for my latest Trevelyan. Are they green or blue? or Both, gah who cares.

Oh, ME3.  The red ending was just nothing my Shepard would ever do. She spent so much time trying to prevent genocide and help people, and she had learned so much by then that it just wasn't an option. And she also didn't want to bascially become space Jesus. So, it became green sharing time.

 

Though she did have very unnatural red hair. I didn't use the default, but the hair was slightly darker.

1.  Destroy the geth and cause mass destruction

2.  Space Jesus

3.  Force every sentient living being in the galaxy to basically become a borg whether they wanted to or not - not to mention, don't the ending slides show children?  How do cyborg children even get born?  How do their synthetic parts grow with them as they age?

It isn't Solas related at all to be honest, it's just that I cannot not think about Solas when I see the word egg.

 

On corrent topic: you all making me so self aware about my eye color.

I got boring poop eyes, I mean, brown eyes. Light brown with a very dark and thick limbal ring.

My brother and father have green eyes, my mother and sister have very dark chocolate eyes and I got shit dirt light brown eyes.

I keep imagining I got lucky and got my father's beautiful eyes, or my boyfriend's lovely green eyes.

I like green eyes the best, I'm jelly.

White chocolate isn't chocolate because it doesn't contain chocolate solids (cocoa powder), only cocoa butter.

My boyfriend really likes white chocolate so I like teasing him about it. Every time I say that he gets defensive and tries to defend the honor of white chocolate.

It's especially funny because we technically don't eat chocolate (unless it's dark chocolate) because our kind of chocolate isn't considered real chocolate by whoever's regulating that sh*t.

 

After writing chocolate so many times the word looks really weird to me, like the name of some kind of chemical ingredient.

Is it normal to feel slight madness after 6 hours+ of drawing? My hand hurts, my neck hurts, my eyes hurt, I can barely think coherently. But I started the coloring on the Cole image so yeaaaah! Progress.

Yes totally normal! And precisely why I say baths are part of my 'process'... just go relax for a half hour in hot water and scented salts, then get back to it :>

Brown eyes are beautiful! Everything from light honey to ones so dark you would think them black.

 

Then again, I could be biased because I have brown eyes. And I am one of two people in my family with them, although it is looking like my daughter will have brown eyes so that will make three. Everyone else has green or blue.

 

Then there's me, my grandmother and my daughter with brown.

 

I have no idea how this turned out because I was under the impression that brown eyes were a dominant trait in stuff like this.

That's what confuses me too. It's some odd thing to do with your parents' eye color making blue more dominant or something, I can't remember..
