Interrupting your day with this song again because I love it and it should be the theme song for the Legion of the Dead in my opinion. Because lately, the more I sit and think about it, the Legion of the Dead are some of the most boss people in Thedas.

 

I mean really.

 

I have a friend who idealizes the Grey Wardens and the Legion of the Dead. So far, he's only gotten up to the end of Witch Hunt. 

He is going to be displeased with the Wardens. But the Legion? So far, the Legionnaires have lived up to their reputation. Renn certainly makes an impression.

Oh, Dragon Age is absolutely one of the most popular (active) fandoms - although, I'm excluding things like Pokemon which has a lot more fans, but proportionally a lot less content and fanwork production. As for why you might be getting more views from a smaller fandom - I've noticed weird things tend to shape what does and does not get noticed. Like, pairings that are just popular enough to have a community, but not so popular that they're really considered major - a one-shot with such a pairing might get more views than a one-shot of a more popular pairing, because they have less content to choose from. It's not impossible that the same thing applies to fandoms as a whole - a piece for a smaller fandom will get more attention than a one-shot for a larger one, simply because the former's water in the desert and the latter's a raindrop in a flood. It's supply and demand, I guess. 

 

There is also the novelty factor. If it's unusual enough people will click on it just out of curiosity. I paired Hawke with a minor final fantasy 7 character (I make no apologies, but I would like to offer that I was in a bad way at the time) and played it mostly serious. A surprising number of people were completely on board with it because nobody else had thought of it and I was there for the long haul. Sometimes there is just no knowing what people will want to read.

I'll just stick with the one I am doing... I tried nanowrimo once and the pressure actually completely kills my creativity and wish to write anything at all.

Yes! I think there's a few of us.

I think I'm going to write a three-act fanfic focussing on my Surana, looking at her development from DA:A, to DA2, to DA:I, trying to flesh out what 'looking for the cure' may involve as well as some unusual pairings I've been interested in recently (Surana/Anders, or Morrigan/Merrill).

That or I try a hand at the original fiction that's been kicking around for years now about a woman looking for her estranged sibling who was kicked out of their home whilst she was a child.

I only have the base-game (I'm more of a sims 2 fan, really, haven't played in ages because it's such a time-sink), but I'd recommend artistic, heavy sleeper, loner, and unlucky off the top of my head.

Others you might want to consider are: good, genius, perfectionist, snob, and commitment issues. I like droso's list too, as well.
