Oh man. I am so-so on beards but he looks so, sooo much better without it.
Is Blackwall happy if he's not a Grey Warden? I haven't played Trespasser yet so I don't know. I want the guy to be happy. I want to shave his beard and make him happy. :-P
Yeah, I'd say so. He's definitely at peace with himself. He tracks down the soldiers that were under his command and apologises to them, and spends the rest of his life trying to do better. I think given all the horrible things we know about what being a warden entails: horrific nightmares, shortened life span, a life dedicated to fighting a merciless group of monsters which will probably kill you sooner, in an organisation which clearly has some corruption problems, I feel like it's probably the better decision to let Rainier try and redeem himself without martyring himself. I think it's good that he has an option to become a better person whilst embracing his past mistakes.
