Droso, do you know how to knit? I will teach you if you don't. This is pretty much my life goal right here.

With coffee and Dragon Age thrown in somewhere.

I am terrible at knitting/sewing/any other handiwork. I just suck. But we can have a group where you knit and I dissect flies while we discuss smut

Omg, seeing all those pictures spawns two things in my brain.

First, Zevran and Aaryn are in a tent in this scene. That's basically a blanket fort outside. This cute smut jsut reached a new level.

Second, I'm gong to build a fort in the living room tomorrow with my daughter and we are going to have a tea party with lemon tarts. while listening to DA music and it is going to be amazing.

My girls are almost past the age of blanket forts, but not quite. I have this set that you can build any frame you can think of and all you need is a sheet or two to cover it. It often takes over the living room, and the cat claims it and refuses to let anyone in

You know, it's really amusing to think of the impact that video games will continue to have on us. I love playing games (fanstasy RPGs are my favorite <3) I can't imagine not playing them. 70 years from now I want to be rolling a wood elf for Elder Scrolls XXIII

You just leave it and go. Edit later. Tell yourself you will edit later. If you're working on NaNo stuff, that is. The point is to just write.

I have nothing yet. And my fic went nowhere either as I'm stuck. And not in the best mood, but going to try switching gears and seeing if I can start this novel idea after I eat a little. :)

*hug* thanks for the advise, as usual, sensei

I think I need to take a walk and listen to some angst. That'll help me finish up the chapter.

out of interest, how long have you been writing for? :)

um well novelist writing, I just started last year. Other writing though .... a very long time XD I'm much better at short stories/article writing/journalism than I am at long fic story telling right now, but I'm working on it.

Make conclusions as you see fit :P

I'm down. And you know what's crazy about that?

I imagine dissecting flies as a delicate process and I enjoy knitting/crocheting lace. Which is also delicate.

Delicate activity while discussing not so delicate things. I adore this paradox.

I sometimes think of this. I saw a guild for 40+ year olds on ESO. There will so be such things for our generation one day :P.

Oh, it's very delicate, it's like surgery under a miscroscope, your hand twitches and suddenly you have this impaled fly whose organs are good for nothing.

I adore the paradox too :D

So I've written 500 words and don't like any of them.

How do you guys not furiously delete the stuff that comes straight out your brain? How do you manage to write a whole chapter without meticulously editing it. help meeeee.

Put parentheses around those 500 words and a note that says, "Delete later, rewrite." Then just keep rolling. NaNoWriMo is all about the momentum. Editing is for December. :P

(That being said, rather than furiously delete, I create a new Word Document. Because that will fix everything.  )

(Rewrite this comment, it's not whimsical enough. -E)

That's awesome! And there should be whole communities for our generation in the future since we really grew up on games!

I would suck at that. I'm not skilled at any of those more delicate talents. Sewing, knitting, stitching, drawing, painting, dissecting.. you know all those normal artsy things.

I baked a cake for Halloween (I love baking) and I had envisioned this wonderful tombstone scene on top of it. I start icing the cake and then I took out a whole corner with while I was trying to be delicate (I suck at icing).  -_-

Oh, I suck at knitting, etc. But with the flies - they interest me, besides the way this went down is that I read a bunch of papers and realized I have to learn fly dissection from scratch. No viable alternative. So I learned.

It all works then.

In lace knitting, if you slip a stitch, everything unravels before your eyes.

I'm not good with anything that requires steady hand movement and delicate precision  ^_^. It probably says something about my personality... I'm not the most patient person and I get frustrated pretty quickly. Do you enjoy puzzles? I can't stand them. I don't have puzzle patience. The more I screw up doing something the more frustrated I become and that in return makes me screw up even more. Eventually something ends up thrown across the room. Usually it's a necklace chain, because I swear no matter how carefully I lay out my necklaces they always end up in knots anyways... just to spite me. It's probably something I could wok on if I tried, but I don't have the patience for that either .

Is it just me or does the Hinterlands feel way more comforting and more like "home" than any of the other maps? I like the mix of people and nature. All the other major maps are too much on the natural side and they also feel more dangerous. I wish there were more towns and cities in this game.

Edit: Come to think of it. Some maps are weird. Like why is there a random villa in Emerald Graves? How do they get their supplies?

Rich people and their excess expenditures  <_<

The Hinterlands is... I've spent too much time there doing the same crappy fetch quests. So home? No. Hellish time loop? Yes.

My Lavellan likes the Emerald Gardens the best and I have to agree with her. Skyhold feels the most homey to me for obvious reasons :) and I like Val Royeaux a lot because it's kind of refreshing to be in a city after all the wilderness (and I love nature). One of my bigger complaints about Inquisition is how it can feel so empty and under populated at times, something that I think more towns could of easily solved.

My least favorite location might even be the Hinterlands because of how much time I've spent there doing menial tasks. I'm not a big fan of the Western Approach either, although I like the Hissing Wastes.  My Lavellan's least favorite location is the Fallow Mire . Dead things should stay dead, and how does a society that burns its dead have so many corpses anyway?

It's because it's the first place you go to where you truly begin to get into DAI, and even after I do all those quests as the Herald, I always return as the Inquisitor and hear how everyone's doing. I get lots of thanks and updates on how well everyone is, and I just smile. I only ever return quest-wise though to slay the dragon, do Solas' rift quest, and do that ritual with the plant you only find in Emprise du Lion. I choose to do all the errand quests before I become Inquisitor since you are meant to get noticed (as Solas keeps barking in my ear after I get 4 power and ignore him telling me to go to Val Royeaux).
