This is how I feel about being an adult in general.

Also @Caddius: I got my slightly hungover self to the computer yesterday to give the Witcher another try. Thus far, other than wanting to murder escort NPCs, I'm enjoying it :)

Woo! :D

Yeah, the escort missions are...are a bit of a pain. But I don't recall there being many of them.

One of us! One of us! One of us!

Playing Awakening for the first time in ages. Also, I take back everything I ever said about Greg Ellis being Ander's first VA. All I can hear is CULLEN CULLEN CULLEN whining about me sending Leliana's assasins on such silly tasks or gulping at the attention he's got in the winter palace and it's so disconcerting.

The one that always pissed me off was in the Exalted Plains, on top of the broken bridge leading to the fortress in the east. Ended up using my mount to get at it.

Oh man, same, I wanna dye my hair dumb colours again. And I still have short hair... but I shouldn't - I've spent the past six months growing out my bleach and I'm now almost at natural colour. Also: not sure my workplace would approve of BLUE or GREEN. I had pink hair for a bit and it was great, it faded out to this lovely strawberry blonde colour.

I have about three or four piercings I want to get too (two cartilage ones, a second lobe, and a nose piercing) but I'm honestly slightly afraid of approaching a tattoo parlour/piercing shop by myself and need someone to hold my hand to be honest.

And then there's the sensible voice at the back of my head asking me how I'll ever get a second job offer if I do that.

I'm actually mildly tempted to get a replica of Chloe's tattoo but I know that's taking it too far.

Taking it too far, or taking it just far enough?

I'd try using some of the LiS lingo, but the people I know that actually talk like that would hit me for making fun of them.

Yay! Not that far away actually, only about an year!

Now... *breathes a sigh of satisfied relief* I'm done with my emo rockstar Solas POV chapter.

Would someone be so kind as to read through it and give me some feedback? I really want to get this one right.

It is 2584 words and has some smut in it.

Edit:  I love how the thread went quiet as soon as I asked. Feel free to just change the topic :)

I can if you'd like. I'm at work now but I'm on break soon.

I am seriously considering purple sombre with orange highlights at the tips  :o Or blue!

Or just 'plain' silver. Can't help it - fad or not, I've always liked white/silver hair.

This sounds great! Doooo it! Screw the haters.

Yeah, until recently, I never thought I'd be interested in a tattoo, but I love Chloe's design, it's colourful, eye-catching, but not too blocky. And plus it'd mean something to me - something I know isn't necessary but something I'd like with a first tattoo, for sure. Thing is, given how it ended, I'm not entirely sure I'm too into the idea now. I'll wait a year, see how I feel about the game, if I still love Chloe enough by that point I'll consider it seriously.

And wait, people actually talk like characters in Life is Strange? I always thought that was just exaggerated vernacular, like the writers were trying reaaaally hard to sound trendy. That's actually really cool.

I would normally, but I'm swamped right now tbh - I've already offerred to check my German housemate's essay for spelling/grammar mistakes tonight, and I also need to write 2k words or so too, as well as memorise my damn poem (the slam is tomorrow!).

Good luck with the slam, and remember to both breathe and enjoy yourself. :)

I was actually looking at silver hair the other day and legit considering to do it.

I'm weird and can't wait to start getting grey streaks or something in my hair. I think I appreciate age or something, I don't know.

I would bring the idea up to my husband....but I already get teased enough about being an old person trapped in a younger body. I think it would weird him out for me to actually have silver hair and be chilling knitting.

That new N7 fleece jumpsuit in the Bioware store looks sooooo comfy and warm.  I would wear it all day, everyday. :-P

Yeah, best thing to do is to give it time and see if something is still meaningful to you years later. There are about four or five things I'd consider getting a tattoo of, and they're all things that have been personally meaningful for a long time. I just don't think I'd be able to handle the process, alas, between my weird brain and bad metal allergies (tattoo ink often contains allergenic metals).

Some people got Solas tattoos almost a year ago and I am all for free choices and all, but couldn't help but think this was just a little bit premature, considering his story is clearly not remotely over yet.

Frost

I stole him from Maeven and never looked back.  Staunchest companion ever.  That horse had more guts than all the armies in Skyrim put together.

I may be a thief, but I'm an honest thief.  I was hired to steal the horse (and even ran it past the Bae first.  He was cool with it, as long as I didn't mind having the guild drop me if something went wrong) and I stole the horse for him.  So tempted to keep it though.  Luckily I have a mod that adds the noble girl in Whiterun's horse back into the stable.  So I stole that.

Good times.

Purple!  Purple is win!  Between the purple hair and N7 hoodie, I am rocking the geek chic pretty hard ATM  ^_^

I'd love to go purple, and have an N7 hoodie but between super dark hair and the high postage I'm unlikely to have either.

Well, I've never heard anyone use 'shaka-bruh' yet, but most of the others are real. A bit out-of-date, but there are people whose lingo is still in 2013. Nerds. :P

Considering that I live in an area where the most "outrageous" hair color appears to be platinum blond I'd probably get as many weird looks as if I've shaved my head! ... Not that I care, not really :D

The only thing I care about really if I'd change my hair color is health of my hair (they're in relatively good condition now, but while I have a lot of them, they're incredibly thin), so my experiments not turn out with me ending up with a nasty mop on my head ;P

Oh man, talk about regret. I mean, luckily, LiS is over now, but I'm going to wait a while before I consider it. Also I'm a total indecisve dork and am afraid of pain and am happy to put off any permanent decision like a tattoo as long as possible to be honest.

Yeah, that was my concern too. After almost two years of bleaching my hair was getting a little thin and icky. I've grown it out primarily just to let it recover.

I mean, as much as dying hair is a pain in the ass I miss it a lot. Nothing wrong with being outrageous!

One of us! One of us! One of us!

The barmaid in Chapter 1 had me hitting my head against the keyboard in frustration.  Because I knew the only reward was banging her, which I didn't want to do, so I was very tempted to just let her be eaten by barghests if she was so keen on helping me fight them  <_<

But mods have definitely helped to reduce the frustration factor.  And Geralt is definitely not as much of an ass as I remember.  If anything, he's kinda bland so far?  But he's had a few moments that made me laugh, and I like the world's lore.

I didn't go completely purple; that would have taken most of a day.  I have incredibly thick Asian hair, so I did purple streaks.  But with dark hair, you have to bleach first, and I went into the salon to get that done the first time around.  Not cheap

My hair's been fine since I dyed it, but I've also been very careful to be nice to it.  Gentle shampoo with no sulfates, and some really intense conditioner once a week.  I've also never dyed it before, and from my hair stylist, I gather that constantly dying, re-dying, stripping, and bleaching hair is the source of a lot of damage.

... At the tips of my hair, maybe :D I'm too pale for dark hair color, and I don't really think "gothic" look is one that is for me - I prefer something neutral (or, ahem... 'faded' :D), but with a few strong accents or contrasts here and there. Therefore some sort of ombre or gradient effect with strong, colorful highlights or silvery hair to go with noticeable jewelry or accessories (kinda like now with my neutral mousy brown/blonde)...

My hair is dark brown and very thick and I'm worried that bleaching it will damage it.

The initial cost and the upkeep have been a large part of what has kept me away so far. I know someone who changes her hair color practically every week and I'm still not sure how she isn't bald yet. She's a natural dark brunette.
