Also I hear ME:A is using motion capture. Does that mean DA:4 will? I don't know if I can handle Solas like that.. and then add in oculus one day..

Seriously though, you should play it. The romance I'm talking about, it's not that hard to see it coming. And if you pick that person anyway, I think it's worth it, but that's just me. He's different from Solas in quite a few ways, but intellect and reserve definitely apply. You've been warned

Last night I was trying to find out: are any Kiwis (NZers) mentioned? It'd be so neat to hear an accent from home. I heard one of the girls has an Australian accent (Miranda).
So....back in June they said that Mass Effect 4 will probably not be available for PC because they want to use the Frost Bite Engine to it's full extent. Has anyone read anything different?
EDIT: Nevermind...I found it...they say PC too.
Wat. PCs are modifiable and therefore more powerful, maybe it was a console version that would be unavailable? Like 360 or ps3.

I can't wait for Andromeda, and I agree with what everyone else said -- if you haven't played Mass Effect, give it a chance. Still my favorite set of video games ever, never mind it being a shooter. The story is incredible, with the usual caveat of "...until the last 20 minutes." The series deserved a better ending than what ME3 gave it, but they are STILL awesome games.
if they dropped PC as a platform there would likely be outrage, plus, it'd make no sense - PCs vary so much in power and speed, really, all that changes are system requirements.
Just watched the video. I'm really glad they used FemShep, but doesn't Jennifer Hale sound a little different from usual here? I'm also sad that there's no further reveals yet about Andromeda.

Edit: btw, if you play, make sure to get at least some of the DLCs, one of the DLCs for ME3 (From Ashes) unlocks a very awesome companion.

I've never romanced Garrus, but he's still my best squaddie. My Shep wouldn't even know what to do with herself if he wasn't there.

Honestly the thought of drawing Abelas excites me. Greatly.
I have the ME games in Origin and installed the first one. I'm stuck fighting some creature on a planet with a vehicle and keep dying After 4 tries I quit and haven't opened it up yet. It was my first mission to find a companion after finally leaving the dang council and their crap.

It doesn't ever get quite that bad, imo. I think there's only two romances that have an unavoidable bad outcome, and only one where it ends in tears no matter what. That was my romance, of course
But you should play it.
Well, that romance does go that way no matter what, yes. Though there can be the feels from a few other outcomes for romances, but if you make generally decent choices you probably won't have to deal with them.
One LI actually has plot armor up until the very end of the game. And one is inevitably feels-spiral material.
Also do not, under any circumstances, romance Jacob.

I vote Abelas. Don't leave out anything from the waist down
Most of the ME romances are fine - it's not the case with most DA games, where there has been at least one romance which has been more heartbreaking/awful than anyone else's that you might want to avoid (Morrigan, Anders, and Solas respectively). There is one romance that is feelsier/sadder than the rest, but you're aware from the beginning that it will possibly end badly.
I think they're all pretty good but I will put in a good word for Garrus, who is my favourite 
Agreed with Cee: don't romance Jacob though.

Some of the gameplay in ME1 can be extremely aggravating. And a lot of people hate the Mako. I did as well at first, but cliff-diving in that thing gets really addictive after a while! I'd say stick it out for the story. Gameplay gets better in the second game.
