To me, the Mako was a lot more fun than scanning planets in ME2. I hated that!! And those Firewalker missions...ugg. I hope we get the Mako back in Andromeda.

I.. hated the Mako.
And I'm very unhappy with its' return.
I'm either a really bad driver or really impatient but I really disliked inching my way up a mountain XD

Well, that romance does go that way no matter what, yes. Though there can be the feels from a few other outcomes for romances, but if you make generally decent choices you probably won't have to deal with them.
Spoiler
One LI actually has plot armor up until the very end of the game. And one is inevitably feels-spiral material.
Also do not, under any circumstances, romance Jacob.
ME2 was actually the first Bioware game I ever played. The idea that you could get people killed with your choices was mind-blowing to me. But I had to play Dragon Age before I was truly ready for unavoidable tragic outcomes ![]()
Most of the ME romances are fine - it's not the case with most DA games, where there has been at least one romance which has been more heartbreaking/awful than anyone else's that you might want to avoid (Morrigan, Anders, and Solas respectively). There is one romance that is feelsier/sadder than the rest, but you're aware from the beginning that it will possibly end badly.
I think they're all pretty good but I will put in a good word for Garrus, who is my favourite
Agreed with Cee: don't romance Jacob though.
Poor Jacob though. I nearly went for him at first. Glad I dodged that particular bullet. I can only imagine how pissed I would've been otherwise.

I really enjoyed seeing how close I could get to making it go completely vertical in an upwards direction. And the higher you climb, the better the ride when you booster-propel yourself back down ![]()
I kind of wished the squadmates had been more reactive to my Shepard's driving. That would've been so entertaining.

Like in GTA5 and (if I recall correctly) Watch underscore Dogs ![]()
Would've been awesome. I kind of wish DAI companions would'e commented about my Inky fade stepping from a cliff, or tumbling down when trying to get a shard.

A bit OT, but for a few Life is Strange players who might be interested.

This scene. Our first real glimpse of confident, assures, nudging things as needed Solas.

I haven't played either of those, so I can't say. But DAI? Yeah no, I'm the one screaming as Sera or my Lavellan leaping-shot themselves backwards off a cliff for the umpteenth time.

Since I miss Solavellan I decided to make Solavellan and Skyhold in Sims 4 XD
There you go, they barely know each other and he's already talking about rifts, while she's already planning to fly away with him on a romantic space rocket.

lol guys, I'm going through Solas' dialogue and I found this gem again:
- Solas: By the end of Hard in Hightown, almost every character is revealed as a spy or a traitor.
- Varric: Wait, you read my book?
- Solas: It was in the Inquisition library. Everyone but Donnen turned out to be in disguise. Is that common?
- Varric: Are we still talking about books or are you asking if everyone I know is a secret agent?
- Solas: Are there many tricksters in dwarven literature?
- Varric: A handful, but they're the exception. Mostly they're just honoring the ancestors. It's very dull stuff. Human literature? Now there's where you'll find the tricky, clever, really deceptive types.
- Solas: Curious.
- Varric: Not really. Dwarves write how they want things to be. Humans write to figure out how things are.
When I first heard this, I assumed it was just a comment on literature. Now I'm like, wow Solas, very subtle, asking if there are secret agents everywhere, hmmmm. HMMMM.

I have the ME games in Origin and installed the first one. I'm stuck fighting some creature on a planet with a vehicle and keep dying
After 4 tries I quit and haven't opened it up yet.
It was my first mission to find a companion after finally leaving the dang council and their crap.
The thresher maw? Is that the one that doesn't really have to be killed? I can't recall now. But look it up on Youtube and someone probably has a way of beating it or staying alive so you can get on with the game. That sucker was not fun, but the rest of the game is. ![]()

Ah yes, how could I forget. Classic.
See, all the Mako rides should've been like that. Nobody would've hated driving it.
Wrex and Liara would have been the best pair to take driving.

Aw man, now I'm getting nostalgic mass effect feels. That was my first game after a long and tragic hiatus. So many good times were had, that time Garrus did a Batman, watching my baby Grunt take on rachni and steal police cars all by himself, weeping over my gorgeous green alien lover.
Sigh. Andromeda has a lot to live up to.

Indeed.
I do hope that Andromeda has squadmates that are just as memorable as the ones we had in the original trilogy.

I'm definitely interested in the ME series now. But I'm SCARED of another accidental hellspiral.
Do not fear the hellspiral, embrace it!
At least with Mass Effect it was always keadding to one definite conclusion. Squabbles over the endings aside, unlike dragon age where it just sort of goes in a meandering exploration of Thedas, letting characters and events fall by the wayside, ME is really the same group of characters on one mission with a definite conclusion. I don't know if it makes a difference, but it makes for a more complete experience I think, all the feels contained in one trilogy spanning arc.

I usually get the sims because I am secretly very into designing houses but I get uber bored from the game itself but if I can make an Inquisitor I might actually play (after I spend hours on building Skyhold).

I love the mako because it's terrible. It was fun exploring planets but even more fun going all out crazy, driving that thing up mountains, and flipping around everywhere. My poor, poor teammates. (Wrex, Garrus and Tali or Liara. I don't think I ever brought the humans with me unless I had to.)
And while it's weird to think about kissing a turian, Garrus is the most amazing spacedinosaur boyfriend ever. ![]()

I went to Therum first, since I was intrigued by this 'find Doctor T'soni' thing and hey, new squadmate. Which was the best decision since I loved her instantly and romanced her. But I saw video and it's hilarious if you leave Liara for last, because she thinks you're a hallucination after being trapped for so long.

Butts forever.
That's actually fitting for this thread.
In ME1, my team was mostly Liara and Tali after a while. Liara & Garrus other times. My boyfriend called us Charlie's Angels. I always take my LI, and I just liked Tali a lot.
Taking Liara out of my party in ME2 made me sad so

Garrus and Wrex forever! I like to think they were covertly glaring at each other until they became grudging friends, and then eventually went on to become a hilarious buddy cop duo, travelling the galaxy and doing favours to the universe (ie, killing giant monsters

As it is N7-day I think this is okay to ask - if the different casts from the DA and ME universes could meet, who do you think would become BFF and who would hate each other's guts? Here are my thought:
BFF
Morrigan - Miranda (they are both determined and intelligent women who have magic/biotics in common and have a decidedly protective streak regarding their families. Also, mummy/daddy issues they can bond over!).
Isabela - Kasumi (they are both easy going women who love to have fun, and I'm sure they have many interesting heists they can talk about).
Iron Bull - Wrex (hey, they both like to hit things and drink!).
Varric - Garrus (they will thoroughly enjoy bullsh!tting each other over a pint or two while discussing the art of sniping).
Solas - Mordin (they both know a lot about regret and trying to make amends. They are both intellectuals and nerds, so they will have many interesting talks).
Fenris - Thane (people who share sexy voices always bond... right? And besides, they both have a philosophical streak)
Mortal Enemies
Vivienne - Mordin (well, perhaps hate is a strong word... but ambitious Viv will probably not understand the selfless Mordin and vice versa).
Dorian - Jack (the fact that he isn't completely against slavery will p!ss Jack off. Also, can you imagine what Dorian would say about her clothes, or rather lack of them?).
Sera - Miranda (Sera will probably only need 5 minutes with Miranda to decide to make her life miserable, and Miranda could never respect Sera's common ways).
Have I missed an obvious pairing? Discuss away! ![]()
