No Solas doesn't fit the sociopath profile. He is nothing like my ex-husband! Poor Weekes, I don't think he expected such animosity for his character when he wrote him.

I'm pretty sure he expected the animosity - Solas is meant to be divisive, or they wouldn't have needed to put in an option to kill or to try to redeem.

 

Everything about how he was written seems pretty calculated to me, and there are definitely things about him we haven't been told yet - which is why I'm willing to consider a variety of outlandish possibilities for him going against what we know about him and his beliefs, to pursue this crazy tear down the Veil and possibly kill everyone who isn't with him, thing.

I think he did.  He made several conscious choices to ensure that Solas' more constriversal aspects wouldn't play into unfortunate tropes.

I don't think he meant to have AS glossy lips, the game engine seems to go overboard on the shine sometimes.

 

And yes, matte for me. I actually have matte lip gloss, so perhaps Abelas bought the wrong brand..

There was definitely an excess of shine in some places.

 

Still, I hate matte things. "Dry" is not really a pleasing aesthetic to me.

My one problem with the shine was that sometimes Nirwen's mouth would be closed but the shine would make it look like her mouth was open slightly and the shine was teeth. Not that often, but it's weird when it happened.

Indeed it would, but we got the nest next best thing which was seeing him happily settling down with a charming woman. Oh and not forgetting Cullen and the dog and the rehab centre for former Templars... Yes I was really lapping it all up this weekend. What a great game.

Even turning down lip shine to nothing results in this.  It's a pan.  At least the custom skin texture for my Trevelyan gets rid of the horrible sweaty face effect that non-white skintones ended up with.

I feel like it was made a bit worse by the choice to apply a dark red to her lips. It was the weirdest effect and I don't remember it looking AS bad, though still way too shiny, on my other Lavellans.

I want to experience Calphernia's story but this will mean that I have to kill Fiona (since she functions as the boss at the end of In Your Heart Shall Burn despite Alexius being the better potential boss figure as he doesn't involve killing off a recurring major character in an anticlimax.)
