Also, I'm still not finished creating my character but at the moment, she kind of looks like a cheery version of Cassandra, which isn't a bad thing but that wasn't what I was aiming for.

Do you think DA:4 will be able to do as well in the comedown of Inquisition's big organization story? Will they need to rely on relationships more to keep the story feeling as important? I think they've helped build towards that with probable reoccurring characters like Cassandra, Dorian, Solas and hopefully Cole (please Cole! I want to see the cinnamon roll again).

Probably the worst Bethesda game I've played, it's still good but there is something meh about it.

The lack of shits given for the dead spouse made me lol. It let me have power armour way too soon, went from being a housewife to ripping mini guns out of vertibirds and slapping deathclaws about like its nobody's business within an hour.

I went overboard junking stuff so I could build stuff.  Now I've had to reload.  I'm mostly messing around near the start of the game getting used to everything.

To be fair you're both veterans, so it makes sense that you'd know how to fight. But the game itself is not as good as FONV. I think Obsidian did a far better job with FO than Bethesda have ever done.

I'm enjoying it!

 

It's got some great improvements on NV's crafting system as well as Hearthfire's housebuilding system.  The combat is also pretty fun, the dog is cute and it's take a lot of innovations from famous FONV mods.

 

If you want you can hold off until early 2016 for the GECK to come out and Bethesda to get console modding set up.

It's a big unknown at this point.

 

On one hand we have David Gaider saying in one of the recent interviews that DA4 wll basically be a 2nd part of the story planned for Inquisition - on the other the Inquisitor and a his/her gang - or whoever they're going to order around -  are supposedly leaving to Tevinter, where I expect most action will take place (though with the activation of eluvian network AND possible hints at Dorian building his own, we may yet travel to all kinds of places) and we don't know who will follow them and to what extent.

 

Anyway - I don't know if Cole would appear (not only he can turn either more human or spirit, but Inquisitor can shoo him away or make him so angry Cole will disappear), but I expect for Cassandra and Dorian to be relatively important. Dorian will always end up in Tevinter as a magister and member of the Lucerni, no matter the relationship with Inky or Bull and Cassandra is always shown at the very last scene, plotting with Leliana and Inquisitor (and Harding).

 

Speaking of Cassandra - I wonder if new Seekers would ever come into play? I mean on one hand we can tell Cass NOT to rebuild them, but I feel the discovery of reversal of the rite of Tranquility (given that modern Thedosian are "like Tranquil" to Solas due to partial sundering from the Fade) and study of it may be instrumental in finding an alternative solution...

I meant to buy all the previous fallout games whilst they were super super discounted one weekend in October: I forgot, probably good for my schedule I suppose.

 

How necessary are the previous games? I mean, in general I loathe playing things out of order, but there are waaay too many games, I might start with Fallout 4 come 2016 during January sales.

I wanted an option to let Hakkon turn Orlais into my personal ice rink, then free him of the dragon's body. But then Ameridan had to turn up and be all silver foxy and "peace and cooperation between all peoples, yo."   Since he's literally the only hot older elf with a shred of common sense left, I figured I should listen to him

I've only ever played New Vegas (And, like, five minutes of 3) but I'm understanding it just fine.

I always get weirded out by facial mods.  I don't have any problem with people using them, but I usually don't, so whenever I see them my brain short-circuits.  The only ones I ever used were the DA2 mods that made Alistair and Zev look less like potato people.
