It's kind of ironic, really, making a 'Solas' in a game where the world gets obliterated...And within the first like, 5 minutes of the game.

My boyfriend, who hasn't finished DAi and doesn't want spoilers, made a joke when seeing pics of Fallout Solas on Reddit,  that 'Solas got lost in the Fade and wound up in post-apocalyptic Boston' and it cost me some effort to not make

3) comments about Solas' current plans.

Unfortunately, that was the best of it. He started his usual 'DAI is terrible and you're weird for liking such a terrible game / all those 'agendas' made me uncomfortable / the companions didn't appeal to anyone' rants after that.

 

But oh how I wanted to say something because the moment was just so ripe for it.

My sole Inquisition-playing-friend thinks Solas is boring. She spends all day dying her armour sets, whereas I will happily the scheme up new Evanuris theories until the sky breaks again. We compromise by discussing what colour armour the Evanuris should have worn.  I'm angling for June in a spiffing plaid weave, personally.

I try. This one is insistent when there's a rant to be ranted. He claims to have played most of the game but acknowledges he barely played the story (nothing past getting to Skyhold). I accidentally spoiled Morrigan's appearance like 10 months ago.

 

I'd be glad if he never brought up the game again if the only outcome is a rant based on nothing and judgment.

I would like this in the future, but part of me is glad they didn't do it in DA:I.  I'd be happy one moment for Dorian and Adaar getting additional cute banter, then hellspiralling over Lavellan all by herself 

 

I was thinking that if you did JoH or Descent before the breakup we could have gotten some sweet banter, but yeah I get what you mean. And that stupid banter bug made me unable to trigger the Adoribull romance, so I can't even console myself with listening to them! I'm glad at least Sera got her Widdle, I needed something cute by the end!

That'd be the line for me. The moment my SO would start on about agendas and terrible games and things despite having barely played it, I would ever so sweetly spoil the whole damn thing for him. Mockery and abuse about something y'aint got a clue about would be met with swift NO.
