Oh, it's very much tied to memory. It's a frequent enough occurrence. Was a mixed memory though. I use scented stuff a lot too. I have one that is mint and one that is cinnamon at the moment.
Cinnamon is da best. I also like mint, or apple or rose, and I adore watermelon/melon or beeswax/honey scent.
Gotta admit, I like how all shiny the character's faces are. Half of the time you're chatting to them they're engaged in training or are out in the field and just have finished a fight - they're gonna be a tad sweaty anyway.
I have pretty bad skin - not really helped by my tendency to eat a bunch of sugar/simple carbs. Still prone to minor acne at the age of 22 (I seriously hoped I'd have grown out of it by now, but nope, my skin breaks out every time I make a bad food decision, ugh), very red and shiny nose. So it makes me feel a little better about my appearance.
I have to admit, the first time I played DAI it was on my older computer and there was an issue with the way-too-shiny hair, esp. on medium settings... and I liked that. It did seem off, since most of the game is pretty goddamn realistic, but with the way metal things looked like as well as some elements of tarot cards it gave the game something of a Kilmt-inspired look. And I'm always a big sucker for Klimt and Klimt-inspired stuff.
It's not that I dislike current style, I mean the game is beautiful, which is especially impressive considering that they've had to downscale the game so old-gen wouldn't explode and therefore couldn't overcome some limitations - but I think if Bioware got bold and got into something more stylized (as in - still pretty goddamn realistic, but with some unrealistic elements, like shiny, smooth metal surfaces or shiny hair) they could create a pretty distinct style that I'd personally really dig no less than I dig the stylized look of 2008 Prince of Persia.
As for the skin - I've dealt with very severe acne till I was about 29-30. Like - it was bad since the beginning of high-school and pretty much shredded the remaining confidence I've had. Somehow it receded about 2 years ago, after I've found a right combination of skin treatment and creams, but that's after years of tests and visits in my dermatologist's or endocrinologist's office, diets, etc, etc. I still sometimes deal with some local eruptions, but compared to what it was before it's almost nothing. Heck, I don't even have that many scars (probably the biggest long-term benefit of all the serious dermatological treatments I went through) and while I still have near 0 confidence in myself, it's not such an ordeal to look into the mirror.
Sadly, my sister has now the opposite thing - she never had it as bad as I do, heck it's not even near now, but it's enough to be bothersome and I see that it impacts her confidence - and I totally understand. Sadly, acne is a petty normal thing, long past tweens or twenties
