So, my hubby still hasn't finished his PC playthrough of Inquisition, so I'm still keeping Trespasser spoilers from him. Last week we were watching "Daredevil" on Netflix, and there was this moment... Wilson Fisk (aka Kingpin, a bald antagonist with sympathetic motives) said, "I am not a monster," to his girlfriend. I busted out laughing. My husband just looked at me like I was nuts.

 

I told him, "You'll see." He has no clue.   

 

Now I find my self rooting that somehow this Fisk character can be redeemed. Sure he pounded a guy's head into a disgusting bloody mess with his own bare hands, but there's still good in him, maybe? Even Vader turned away from the dark side at the last, right? That's me, pulling for the lost causes of geekdom since September 2015. Thanks Solas. 

 

In other news, I saw these gifs on De Carabas's tumblr. It kinda drives a point home about Mythal versus the other ancients we've encountered. It's something to think about. I'm suspicious of Mythal, but if Mythal really sees Lavellan as one who does the people proud, then why would she allow Solas to take her power? She would have to know what he plans to do, and that his plans would endanger The (modern) People. If Mythal truly does protect "her people" then Solas tearing down the veil must be part of her plan, and she must know how to protect the modern elves from the Big Magic Doomtastrophe. 

 

Yup, maybe everything will be fine no matter what because Mythal endures. Our choices will once again not really matter. Hooray!

Lovely drawing. The shading on the hands really caught my eye. I admire anyone who can draw hands well. Hands are my enemy. Your art is also reminding me of a question which recently actually came out of my mouth: "Why don't men wear capri pants anymore?" Solas and his capri pants...that's what they are you know? Capri pants.

I do wear capri pants, if that counts? But I am not a guy, true. My better half would probably rather eat a scorpion than get into capri pants. 

 

[I like hands. Hands can be expressive. But they are damn hard on more detailed drawing, I agree. This is just a line and scribble shadows on the lower halves of fingers to make it look more alive. Thank you ]

He does have broad shoulders though. I can see him in Cullen's armor if it's fitted for him.

That's the thing - Cullen's armor doesn't accentuate broad-shoulderness much. It's mostly hidden underneath that garment with the 'mane' at the top, with fabric covering the sides. Basically Solas would look literally like a popsickle if he's worn it - large at the top and mostly straight and then, suddenly, those slender legs Solas generally looks good if the armor tapers down or he's wearing a belt that gathers any excessive material at the lean waist. That's what makes his shoulder 'pop' (though in general it seems that elves seem to prefer pretty top-heavy aesthetic, with even some female armors having buffed shoulders, but the armor underneath is still usually pretty form-hugging and smooth/fluid in terms of shape of the outline)

I like to headcanon that Solas stitched on the modesty flaps when he realized he was effectively stuck with the Inquisition. Wouldn't want the gremlins getting distracted by his glorious elvhen physique!

Of course, Solas being Solas, his brilliant plan is ruined by something simple: wind

..Anyway, I come with a little gift (maybe?).

When Trespasser came out I recorded and shared over the forums some mp3s from the game.. People overall appreciated although some guy made me notice that the quality was not very good. That was because I recorded them as videos and then converted them to mp3s in some crappy software..

Anyway now we have the OST so there isn't much need for it, except for the beloved "Dread Wolf" track that Bioware has forgotten (   ) to include in the OST..
There is quite a good version on YT, however the person who recorded it probably just muted the dialogues, but you can hear the music decreasing when Solas and Inq are speaking - so it was pissing me off, cause I go slightly OCD in these situations xD

So I decided to re-record it, and thanks to a mix of Audacity and freeze frame, the audio is clearer and doesn't decrease Plus my Lavellan is no longer speaking at the end of the mp3, leaving the file clean.
