Well for me Solas is a beacon of hope because I do not want to take side in stuff like mages vs templars.
I think both camp suffered a great deal , both camps have their reasons...etc.
I'm sure lots of companions are going to be annoying when I'm going to play , but finally , finally someone who understand:

So I read the part in the interview about how he is more interested in the fade rather than "hurling fireballs." Anyone think that he will care about the mage rebellion. Inititially hearing his apostate status says yes, but perhaps he thinks differently?

Still catching up but...I LOVE IT.

He seems to care enough about his own freedom to live away from civilization in the wilderness and teach himself, despite possible risks that may have. He also seems to be selfless enough to put that freedom at risk to join the Inquisition and try to help save the world. Enjoys his freedom + selfless makes me infer that he probably supports mage freedom and the mage rebellion? But this is just a guess.
