I know I'm terribly behind in posts, but I just wanted to drool about Valen for a spell.   Completely in the same vein, he and Alistair. Only with a tail. And horns.

 

Anyway, sorry everyone, I've lost my car and apartment at the same time and my health isn't super great as a result, and I'm swamped with work on top of it all, so I might be in and out for a time yet. If anyone could just... summarize for me, I'd be grateful and more able to participate in the conversations.

I used to apply temporary tattoos and stickers to my face semi-regularly back in high school. I don't remember where I got them, but at one point, I remember getting a lot of butterfly ones. They'd often go on my upper cheek, under my eye.

 

Also stars and such.

 

I had super long hair, so I'd often experiment with it. Leia buns, multiple tiny buns, multiple braids. I did tiny braided buns once and poked pencils in them. I think another time, I did lollipops.

 

I clearly take myself super seriously.

I think if I weren't kinda cautious about my skin (I have some problems with it, not sure how it'd accept tattoos) I may or may not have gotten myself a small "beauty mark" shaped like a star somewhere under the eye... just for sh*ts and giggles ;D

 

Anyway - I've had quite long hair once (now they're kind of semi-long), but I never really experimented with them. A.) because I'm quite lazy and B.) because I tend to think they look best if left alone, or just coming down and elongating my neck. In fact the interesting thing is to just leave them alone to dry on their own or something and see what they'd do with themselves, based on how humid or hot the air was (I have a lot of hair, but they're very thin individually), whether they'd just be straight-ish, wavy or nearly curly... I'm an artist, so of course I don't just have artist's hands (probably one of the best features I have, not ashamed to call them quite pretty), but also artist's hair!

Even if I use certain shampoos, it will be all over the place. I get the wavy hair from my mother. The texture is fine and medium, a mixture of what my parents have. But my dad's hair is fine and straight, where my mom's is medium and a little wiry.

 

It is pretty. And having natural waves makes being lazy about my hair possible.

Having unruly hair is sort of a nice feature to have - I mean, IF the hair isn't unruly enough that it sometimes just frustrates people ;D In fact, I find the feature kinda quirky in a fun way - so much in fact that I give unruly hair (or just do something unusual with them - color, growth rate, etc) to some of my characters... let them express something of themselves through their hair, not just the hairstyle
