Yeah...me too  And whenever I hear that in AUs (not just MS), I'm like, does Solavellan need to be even sadder?  Those two sods can't catch a break

 

I find a certain sick pleasure in experiencing scenarios that are even more horrible than canon Solavellan. It's like, is that all you got BioWare? My heart can take more!

I definitely have a nerdcrush on Patrick Weekes.  I just want to hang out and siphon writing goodness from his brain.  Which is totally not creepy of me.  Nope

Why is Remorse specifically a demon though? It's the admission you have done wrong, right? That you feel bad about what you have done, it's not inescapably negative, either, because it can lead to Forgiveness. I guess it would specifically have to be Repentance or Penitence to be a spirit - a positive version of Desire to make amends? Perhaps Shame or Guilt might work better as a demon. I can see Solas having Shame and Guilt demons plaguing him, easily.

Oh, I know he's bald in all the murals. That's why I am amused when people draw him with hair.  

On Twitter, Patrick Weekes said he believes that Solas does not shave his head. It's either a spell Solas uses (like the one that prevents sunburn ), or it's a natural genetic "thing what elves have". Which wouldn't surprise me, as there are a lot of bald male elves throughout all three games. Though, keep in mind, genetics don't necessarily apply to elves; their ears, beardlessness, reflective eyes and blood are all apparently magical in nature and aren't passed on to their children if they pair off with a human, or any other race - though things like their pigmentation might?

Or male elves skip male pattern baldness and just go straight to baldness- no rescinding horseshoe hair for them. 

 

I do headcanon the concept art version is a younger, hedonistic Fen'Harel. The one who did play along with the other Evanuris and be-friended the Forgotten Ones but then something happened which made him all Free The Slaves! And he removed his hair as an outward sign of the change. Canon shanon.

 

I think by the nature of the emotion some spirits would have to be more neutral than say spirits of Compassion (positive) or Rage(negative). Hope can be a good thing but false hope is terrible.

I still headcanon that Varric killed Orsino off in his book, but he's actually still alive, if laying low - Varric is just pissed off at him for that business with trying to help Quentin and Hawke's mom getting murdered and zombified because of it.

Well, there's Orsino,..

 

I always hated what they did to Orsino - it did not seem to be in character for him to protect a bloodmage, and for him to turn to bloodmagic (especially if Hawke sided with the mages) is just honestly not good writing (although I'm guessing the writers were "forced" to make him into a boss-battle for gameplay reasons).

 

We don't speak of the DA2 elf redesign.

Fenris is one smoking elf  and Merrill is cute as a button! I think they also did alright with Athenril.

That's not male pattern baldness! Orsino just has a very pronounced widows peak 

 

DA2's elf model has a bad rep but the plot relevant elves don't look too bad and imo the rest are victim of the game's short development time. Something EA thankfully seem to have learned from.

Hnnnnnnnnng I know. For me I guess I'll replay my canon Inquisitor once more (...or twice), read Magekiller, finally get the Art of Inquisition book, and check the Twitter thread obsessively, lol.
