Another little speculation thrown after checking some stuff on wiki... dunno about others, but when I read about Andruil's weapon from this codex http://dragonage.wik...e_Elven_Writing, despite it being described as an elaborate spear, there's only one thing I can currently think that it resembles me of. 

 

 

"She shook the radiance of the stars, divided them into grains of light, then stored them in a shaft of gold. Andruil, blood and force, save us from the time this weapon is thrown. Your people pray to You. Spare us the moment we become Your sacrifice."

 

There is a brief image of an elaborate golden spear, glowing with unbearable heat. Then it fades.

 

I suppose it could be called somewhat far-fetched to assume that Andruil could hurl meteors out of an orbit!, but considering that there are places on a map that look like craters (Tirashan forest lays in the possibly biggest one), one who probably equaled them in power has created the Veil and we know of Titans who can shake the entire regions just by snoring (and them being supposedly defeated by Evanuris+Fen'Harel), I suppose it's actually kinda fitting. And scary. 

 

Goddamn, if Evanuris could do that and they eventually reached for the Blight, just how crazy-powerful they truly were?

Hmmm... Been through Trespasser ending with one of my Trevelyans to send the full playthrough to my Keep and I've noticed something about epilogue with human Cole - that he went with Maryden to find a new life and a new way to be human.

 

A new way to be human... I wonder if that'd be important later.

 

I've read a Solavellan fic (Looking Glass) that's having Spirits able to take bodies & become what they call the "Waking Born", since Spirit is normally considered "Dreaming Born" (born in the Fade). They become elves (in ancient arlathan) if they takes a body.

 

"A new way to be human" sounds a bit like that

Oh, the fact that elves are closely related to spirits (whom ancient elves call "brethren of the air" that have not yet manifested from the Fade), or that they're in fact embodied spirits is pretty much established in canon, especially in Trespasser.

 

In fact it's very likely that every sentient creature was once a spirit, or they contain a spirit - only most, if not all, modern races have forgotten about it; which is likely exactly why Solas tries to return to things how they were - but to restore people's previous connection to the Fade likely means them shedding their mortal identities, hence the return of "his" people likely means the end of current ones.

 

I don't think however that Cole's "new way to be human" just means that - I think it means finding a new way for humans to reconnect to the Fade; to become something new, that is sort of in between what was in pre-Veil as well as something that exists now in post-Veil time, which may or may not have an impact on how either next DA or current overarching DA plot may end.

Or it's something entirely simplistic and basically means "Cole found a new way to be like a human -- loving someone and engaging in a relationship." 

 

Kind of odd to contemplate. I love my Fade son, but I'll have to have him become human at least once.

Could be the new driver, could be my mods but after a long argument with Ge Force Experience I've lost all motivation to fix it.

Face texture mods in particular don't play nice with the new DLCs.  You might want to uninstall them.

As it turns out my Inquisitor has the most hideous eyebrows and I'd forgotten how bright dragon webbing is. I did headcanon the Skin That Stalks armour as a gift from Dorian and now it looks like a gift from Dorian who believes his BBF needs more colour in her life.

Every time I see artwork like the sexy one (super yum btw) or I have Solas in that Avvar armor that shows his stomach muscles I wonder how he stays so buff. Is it just that using magic actually takes muscle strength or does he work out between studying at Skyhold? If the second option that could be fun little side banter of the Inquisitor walking in on him or a yummy opening for a bit of fluff smut .

My theory is that, well obviously, every single companion at Skyhold is super fit. They have to be since they're in a pseudo-medieval setting and we see they have to run/walk hundreds of miles and survive all kinds of environments and situations. The Mages probably need to know how to get out of tough situations without their magic as a matter of survival backup.

Just all the walking is already a great exercises... Completely agree with you. TBH I think it's also possible that Solas & all companions do non-magical combat training... Especially Solas who lived thousand of years, he must've had times to learn non-magic combat for places where magic were thinner.

I have never been a writer and English is not my first language, but Dragon Age makes me come up with stories and explanations in my head for things that happen.

I finally decided to start writing them down. This one is about Solas, it has Trespasser spoilers.

 This story picks up towards the end of Trespasser DLC, as Solas leans in and kisses the Inquisitor to temporarily heal her Mark.

“Ar lath ma, vehnan” Solas whispers.

Her arm is tingling now, the pain is gone and she is able to stand.

“You are wrong, you don’t!” She exclaims standing to her feet.  

Solas stops short of the Eluvian. He turns to her, but does not say a word.

“What I feel for you, that, is love” she continues. “And having felt it, if our roles were reversed, I would not be able to destroy your world, especially not with you in it.” Her tone is harsher now, but not angry. “Do you remember when your own world fell? The pain? The destruction? And you want to cause that again, now, to mine. Yes, this world is different now, but that does not make it worse, it does not make it worthy of destruction and the people here worthy of death. And what if you fail…again? How many times will you do this, to create this perfect world that you seek? How much is enough?”

Her words cut Solas like a knife. He knows there is truth in them. He is not sure of his plan, and there is fear, so much fear. He collapses onto the ground, sitting with his knees bend and his head tucked into them so that she may not see the torment in his eyes. But she can feel. She walks up to him from behind, kneels, and wraps her arms around him, so that her hands meet together at his chest. He puts his hands on top of hers and presses them into himself. She can feel his heart beating. She can hear him breathing, erratically, she is not sure if he is panting or sobbing, the sound is muffled.

“Let me save you,” she whispers.

“From what?” His voice is quiet, soft, he sounds different now, broken.

“From yourself.”
