Mine didn't remove hers - up until that point she had been very Dalish in her lifestyle and beliefs, but the events at the Temple of Mythal and the meeting with Flemeth/Mythal in the Fade really shook her faith. She decided that she would not allow the past to dictate her present or future, and so she kept her vallaslin because it reminds her of her clan and makes her feel connected to them despite the distance. It wasn't an easy decision though, I agonized over it for several minutes. I'm still a bit miffed that I missed the beautiful scene where Solas removes them. 

 

Mine kept hers as well, because she values her clan and because her mark did not signify a slave-master relationship, but rather a rite of passage from childhood to adulthood. The vallaslin for her symbolize her own resilience and strength, and that of the Dalish people.

I'm posting in this thread because it's the one I've been the most active in... I would just like to say congratulations to me for having now played over 1200 hours, ie. 50 entire days of my precious finite little life, playing DA:I.  And probably 1/3 of that time was spent staring longingly at Solas.   To be fair some of that was time the game was running on my comp but I wasn't playing. Has anyone else played an embarrassingly huge number of hours? I was honestly surprised I managed to clock that much time, especially since there were a couple 1-2 month periods of no playing at all.

Has anyone else played an embarrassingly huge number of hours? I was honestly surprised I managed to clock that much time, especially since there were a couple 1-2 month periods of no playing at all.

I have about 550 hours across 3 playthroughs (well two legit playthroughs and two halves of a "playthrough" lol). Doesn't hold a candle to 1200 but I may catch up when I replay my canon Inquisitor! Who will also be looking longingly at Solas.   That guy is the worst (and the best...).

1910 hours, just now. Granted, 1/2 or more of that was just the game on pause running in the background while I do something else - even today I'm yet to play a few minutes, but I've had it on for at least 5 hours Shouldn't be doing that, just for the sake of my poor PC - a powerful beast, but I do need that power.

I think I'll chalk up a LOT more hours next time by doing housework or whatnot while waiting for banter to fire.

A lot of my time in game is just spent crafting and - lately - trying out which combination of mods works and which doesn't As for banter, I simply use cheat engine to trigger it.

That's the one thing I miss about playing on PC. I would use that cheat engine in a HEART BEAT. 15 minutes is a really long time and with SO much banter to get through... I'd love to be able to hear it all in one playthrough. Oh well.

213 hours and I just got the game at the end of November so....    I've done one speed full play which was my very first, I did another after I got Trespasser and started slow but than ended up speeding to through to see the ending.  I've started a couple more one of which was meant to actually romance Bull but scraped it and created Thaali (the character in my fan fic) and am currently playing her attempting to really drag out this play.  I've so far methodically gone through Hinterlands, Fallow Mire, The Storm Coast, Forbidden Oasis, and Crestwood to find every collectible and complete every little quest available.  

 

Except for the part of The Storm Coast you can't unlock till level 16 and you do the war table mission for it.  

 

I might be just a wee bit obsessed.     Although lately I've been spending more and more time writing my fan-fic than actually playing.

Has anyone else played an embarrassingly huge number of hours? I was honestly surprised I managed to clock that much time, especially since there were a couple 1-2 month periods of no playing at all.

Origin shows me at 1498 hrs, and I haven't played since Nov. 22.  That covers 8 full PTs (2 Solas, 2 Cullen, 2 Dorian, 1 Blackwall and 1 Bull) and 1 speed run/half PT to romance Cass. Trespasser done on 5 of the 9 romances.

Whaaat??? And I thought I was crazy for having 894 hours.. (of which: about 100 MP, and the rest divided between 1 short PT, 2 full with everything completed Lavellan and Trevelyan PTs, and then 2 other half completed Trevelyan and Lavellan PTs where I did main story, all companions quests and cleared a few areas and Trespasser).

I thought that was a lot .. How do you even do 1910 hours lol!!

@Endee: your dream made me crack up. I am laughing out loud thinking about Solas kicking  you in the face.

@N7Striker: I remove the Vallaslin only for the purpose of hurting Solas (Even though I know he's happy and he thinks he's doing good...). I want him to see Lavellan's pure and clean face.. so he can feel even more miserable about having to leave such beauty behind

Between all three I have 1472 hours, 550 DAO; 145 DA2; 777 DAI...I love the characters in DA2 but hate the game/story. I've lost count of the number of partial starts I have on all of them, though. Much of it is getting to Skyhold, or up to the arishok fight, or just before the Fade in DAO  and then starting a new play through. I have completed at least 2 for each game though. The rest are for character creation for my fanfic/s. I still play them some, but mainly to hear banter, or catch cut scenes.

 

I have a Hard, and a Nightmare game for DAI to do for the achievement, but those go slowly for me since I'm focused on weapon and armor improvement and spend a lot of time traveling just to gather materials and find schematics.

I don't have any of my current games there yet. I think the next time I do Trespasser the feels are going to be ten-fold what they were because I'm much more involved in these Inquisitors than I was the one that went through Trespasser. The last save file you can possibly have for Trespasser is right before you enter the eluvian to go talk to Solas. So you can play that part over and over and over if you'd like.

Like Bunny, I own DAO on both PC and PS3 but I honestly play the DA series mainly on the consoles. Of course the controls work best on the PC but I'm already used to the console version. xD (I'm not really that picky, I just want to play the game.)

I'm assuming DAO is also available for PS+ on PS4? If so, I might have to get it there as well.

They're streaming it on PS4 through PS3 servers . I just finished replaying Mass Effect 2 on my PS4 this way. It worked great!! It only lagged about 3 times. But yea, same graphics as PS3.
