I lost my little canary several years ago...he was only a little over a year old. (He somehow hurt himself. He missed a landing flying too enthusiastically around his cage..he was such a cute little guy.) It always sucks losing a pet.. *more hugs*

Flemythal calls him by his distorted name: Dread Wolf. It was an insult now that we know Solas' past with Mythal. Not even was it in Elvhen, but was in the modern Thedosian translation, instead.

I think she was messing with him, prodding or teasing him with it, but also making sure he knew she wasn't just Mythal, as she was both Flemeth and Mythal. Also, for the audience's sake, she would have to speak in terms they would understand immediately, for it to have the same impact. Calling him just Solas wouldn't mean the same thing, and maybe calling him Fen'Harel, that might be a more direct injury or insult, as she knows he deeply dislikes the name, and maybe she never used it for him in her first life.

Sorry about your pet I don't actually have pets but my brother had a lot of Betta fishes and verytime I was visiting there was one less in the tank.. he has a little graveyard with all of them buried in a plant pot D: It's kinda sad even if fish are not really pets you interact with.. :/

Actually if Mythal called Solas it would be much better. We would speculate who Solas is wait is he god like Mythal  . And at the same time Trespasser would be much better.

I'm sooo bored, I have an exam this Wednesday in economics and I just can't get anything to stick inside my head! I doubt I will ever have to use this knowledge in my future line of work (why do I have to understand the intricacies of GDP or the financial market when I'm supposed to work in Human Resources?). Solas, if you are going to unleash total chaos, can you do it before my exam so I won't have to endure the torture? Or at least lend me a spirit of wisdom?

So was I! I remembered the first time I ended DA:I and heard Flemythal call Solas 'Dread Wolf', I was stunned. Shocked. Flabbergasted. Solas, the hobo apostate elven mage who was with us all this time was actually Fen'Harel the Dread Wolf of Dalish legends! If she called him 'Solas' during the epilogue, I'll be honest, it probably wouldn't have given me the same impact than if she called him 'Dread Wolf', and I probably wouldn't be as hyped up about the DLCs compared to what we got now. Don't get me wrong, I'd still be interested in wanting to know what the hell was going on with him.

 

Though I imagine if Bioware did go with this route, with both the player AND the Inquisitor being in the dark about Solas' true identity, finding out that Solas is Fen'Harel during Trespasser also sounds pretty fascinating.

 

That's just me though.
