Ok, so, umm, these gifs by kiwi-xeet on Tumblr are NSFW so I'm putting them behind a couple of spoiler tags.

 

Many pages back in this thread, we were discussing how Solas' sexy saunter may actually be accomplished by him having the female walk cycle. In these gifs, though, we can see both a female Inquisitor and Solas walking. He definitely has a different, slower, more saunter-like gait than her. I think that maybe he (and Abelas, actually) got extra special walk cycles to make us all swoon.

There were gifs of a naked Solas swinging his staff around and casting spells that were mesmerizing in their own way, so I guess I could see that.

 

Though to be fair it's because I can't believe how far we've come and how good the animation looks. Hence... Backside. Varric. Unsee. Can't.

I wonder if we could figure out any hints by that alone, because surely they would have to run it by the Bioware team to make sure it were a correct translation? I had thought to play with Spanish subtitles (I like to try keep up with what I learnt).

The panel from PAX last September (where they officially announced Trespasser, even though we had all seen that accidentally posted too early trailer six hours beforehand ) included a great segment on the localization process:

That naked Inquisitor is as pale as the snow. I would check for hypothermia.

This is a great idea! We would probably find some new clues that way or at least new interpretation possibilities!

What if the birth of Humanity was due to the Veil ? What if the slow reduction of magic and the sundering of the Fade caused Humans to exist ?

 

The records we have say that the first humans quite late into Thedas, far after Solas has created the Veil. The first Elves to encounter them were the remnants of the destruction of the Elvhen empire. We do not have any indications or hints of humans or proto-humans existing before the Veil.

 

In a way, doesn't this make Solas the creator of humanity ? Not directly but indirectly since the sundering of the Fade and the real world was his doing ?

 

I know the Maker either doesn't exist or is a powerful Spirit of Faith or the Sun God from ancient Elven legends but technically speaking, shouldn't Solas be the Maker since his actions resulted in the creation, spread and domination of humanity ?

Are video tributes allowed? Made a video with the Demons by Imagine Dragons as song about Solas, thought it rather fitted.

Honestly I am quite sure the original english text is the closest you can get. I watched a make of video for the german voice over and they really have the problem that they don't have enough information about context and so on to work with. And this will likely affect translation as well. This leads to the voices being even more kept in a neutral tone compared to the english version and just sound so wrong if you compare it to the english original. At least this is how I feel - and the german voice actors are really good ones, but still, I can't play it in german, the original voices are far superior in my opinion. And this is for every game I play, Dragon Age, SWTOR, ME... doesn't matter. But I do think the problem is simply that the context information is missing and they don't really know how to play the scene. 

 

Funny enough, Solas german voice actor does voice over for Leonard from the Big Bang Theory

@Eliantariel: You are probably right about the "closest you can get" with the english "original" but discussing the translations would be a chance for gamers that play in a different language (and BioWare) to sort out where the problems in the translation and understanding are.

But this would be an enormous expenditure...

 

Actually BioWare has already done this "research" when the translation for the game was made.

So it would be very interessting if someone from the team could show us, where the difficulties were and which translations are problematic.
