I really like the blue pajamas in the wardrobe.
Oooh that is pretty! Then again, I might be biased because blue is my favorite color. ![]()

My favourite pajama mod is the Dlaish Patchwork one, lots of detail and no boob window ![]()
It's a great pre-Skyhold outfit for my elf.
To me the beige horror is just so bland and has metal bits in random places that don't seem to serve a function at all. I liked the outfit a little when it had Isabela boots but BW ditched those before release.
I never had a problem with the outfit either. It was bland but eh. Then I made a human male character. First time I saw him in that outfit I laughed myself silly.
I don't mind the beige pyjamas - the whole metal bits everywhere is kind of a thing I quite like (I like accents and those are little accents everywhere
).
However, after a while I just got bored of it and the fact that it only came in beige, so I'm happy that I'm able to now change its colors even ion vanilla game, or just mod the hell out of it... or just use a cheat engine and wear armor above it.

On the female characters it's ok .. bland but yeah boring. And I'm glad to be able to change it as well. But on the human male .. the top doesn't come down far enough so there's gaps where you can see skin on the sides. Kind of made it look like the human male was struggling to fit into it, like it was too small. It just looked so ... awkward ... on my human male character that I found it funny.
Since I'm on the PS4 I was overjoyed when we got more outfits, although I did notice that some of them have some clipping issues in certain scenes (especially when Solas is grabbing my Lavellan's butt). ![]()
I gotta admit, I never saw the problem with the beige pajamas to begin with. It mystified me that it got so many complaints and criticism. I'm not crazy about any of the alternatives they have either. I tried putting my Lavellan in that white drake-skin outfit (I was going for a red-and-white color motif for her) and it ended up looking like Elvis (Elfis?) in a rhinestone-studded jacket.
Granted I'm also sitting here in a pair of blue-striped pants and a lime green t-shirt, so, maybe my sense of fashion's broken.
The colour, style and material were all wrong for my Lavellan, and on Adaar they look uncomfortably tight. They were obviously desgined for Trevelyan. I like the PJs made by horography on the nexus. No boob window, and each race has a unique look that draws from their culture.
I guess the original PJs aren't too bad for warriors and rogues, but mages have most of the PJs visable and the style was just blurgh.

Wow!
How did I miss this?
You know, Solas has a lot of reading material on his desk... but what is he reading? I mean, he would have to be careful with what he leaves there for everyone to see (I doubt there is a title called "Torn to shreds - A step by step guide on how to tear down the Veil"). So do the books serve some other purpose? It would seem he is studying the shards, but I really doubt that he doesn't already know what they are since they seem to be Elven. Perhaps they are only there to give credence to his knowledge about the Fade and whatnot (I mean, he can only use the line "I saw it in the Fade" so many times before someone grows suspicious). I wonder if he ever read any of Varric's novels... I could totally picture him reading one of the romance novels with a mixture of contempt and curiosity. ![]()

Didn't Solas and Varric have some banter where Solas said he reads his books?
Didn't Solas and Varric have some banter where Solas said he reads his books?
Yup! It's the banter where Solas asks Varric about every character in Hard in Hightown being a spy or traitor. ![]()
Solas: By the end of Hard in Hightown, almost every character is revealed as a spy or a traitor.
Varric: Wait, you read my book?Solas: It was in the Inquisition library. Everyone but Donnen turned out to be in disguise. Is that common?Varric: Are we still talking about books or are you asking if everyone I know is a secret agent?Solas: Are there many tricksters in dwarven literature?Varric: A handful, but they're the exception. Mostly they're just honoring the ancestors. It's very dull stuff. Human literature? Now there's where you'll find the tricky, clever, really deceptive types.Solas: Curious.Varric: Not really. Dwarves write how they want things to be. Humans write to figure out how things are.
I love how Solas' answer to why he read the book was "It was in the library". It's so typical of him to answer a question without really answering the question. ![]()

His reading material (well, part of it at least) actually ain't anything secret - there's an entire list of books we can find, I think on his desk, either ever since we first enter Skyhold, or after we leave it for the first time and return:
http://dragonage.wik...ces_on_the_Fade
Anyway - even with his secret plans and knowledge and everything, Solas doesn't know absolutely everything there is, nor it was the entirety of his focus, especially while with Inquisition; he obviously wanted to fix the Veil before he tears it down (whatever the Breach did to it, it was accidental and messed with his own designs - if it was helping Solas in any way, he wouldn't join Inquisition in order to stop Cory and find a way to seal rifts) and we know that he himself couldn't find the solution to it prior to the Herald's awakening after the explosion. Then there's an issue of red lyrium - and of course Corypheus, who surprised Solas with his immortality and ability to at least partially tap into orb's power (plus the whole blight magic business).
So there's all that... and then there's probably a lot of study of effects of the Veil and changes on the world which he didn't manage to pick up in the Fade - even with his agents in convenient places, that might have reported to him or brought him materials during the first year of being awake in the Veiled world, I doubt he'd ever had as easy access to many books and resources as he's had with the Inquisition.
In other words, there's quite lot to research.
It's just how mods are. Eventually modmakers will make outfits that showcase a woman's boobs and then lo and behold, people use them.
I know, I know. Boobs obsession abound and all. ![]()
But, why boob windows? Like, not just deep décolletage or no-shoulder or something. Is boob window just easier to make than everything else? ![]()

What I personally find very interesting about what's lying on Solas' table is the Shard. It looks like he was studying it. Does that mean that Solas is entirely unfamiliar with it, Ocularas and those chambers in Forbidden Oasis? Or was he just pretending for his disguise's sake?
btw, it looks like a child skull
Too small to be an adults
What's funny, is that the Shard is still there after completing the quest. Like, Solas, did you clone it or stole it or what? ![]()
What do we know about the whole Shards shebang anyway? I don't remember anything concrete in codexes even after opening the last chamber with the Pride demon. Anyone knows if there's anything interesting behind it?

Some people kinda like boob windows? I mean it's a fantasy stereotype and all, yes, but these things are also reflected in real life occasionally. (I don't like windows because I hate high necklines, but I wear a lot of v-necks and scoops, and occasionally keyhole tops in addition to t-shirts and stuff. As long as there are plenty of options, I don't see the issue. The issues tend to arise when the 'sexy' (usually as judged by straight men) is the only option available. Or armors and outfits are so blatantly and unequally gendered as to be ridiculous. But real people can and do choose similar styles, and even for their characters sometimes. The important word is "choose". ![]()
And it's a mod, so it's totally optional. There are a lot more options now, but that was available early and caught on.
