I know, I know. Boobs obsession abound and all.

But, why boob windows? Like, not just deep décolletage or no-shoulder or something. Is boob window just easier to make than everything else?

 

 

Actually, yeah, they probably are easier since it's just a simple texture swap. Giving them bigger, ehm... assests... would mean a change to the model itself, and not the textures stretched over top of it, which is of course harder. As for open-shoulder, I haven't tried to mod Inquisition so I wouldn't know, but I'd bet there's a seam on the shoulders of all models, since that's where the arm connects to the torso.

What I personally find very interesting about what's lying on Solas' table is the Shard. It looks like he was studying it. Does that mean that Solas is entirely unfamiliar with it, Ocularas and those chambers in Forbidden Oasis? Or was he just pretending for his disguise's sake?

 

btw, it looks like a child skull Too small to be an adults

 

What's funny, is that the Shard is still there after completing the quest. Like, Solas, did you clone it or stole it or what?

 

What do we know about the whole Shards shebang anyway? I don't remember anything concrete in codexes even after opening the last chamber with the Pride demon. Anyone knows if there's anything interesting behind it?

 

I think all we know with certainty is that the oculara are made of the skulls of Tranquil mages, and that the Venatori were interested in collecting the shards, and were murdering Tranquil in order to make the oculara. 

 

Also the temple was named Solasan, but whether it had anything to do with our Solas is anyone's guess. The demon in the final room was a pride demon, so it might have nothing to do with Solas.

I had read that, but I am now listening to the actual interview in which Weekes said that.  Just found out that Weekes' first playthrough was a female double daggers rogue who romanced Solas... Which is what my Inquisitor was! ^-^  He goes on to say that he was playing a party composed of the characters he wrote so that he could make sure there was no strangeness. (Did he miss the part where Solas freaks out after the ToM and talks about begging you not to drink...?)

Anyhow, Solas panicking and trying to come up with a reason why he invited her there sounds hilarious.

Seriously one of his better moments. Suave ancient elf with the powers of a god who invoked a rebellion and sealed away mage-kings gets flustered and comes up with a half-***** excuse about your face. I love it.

 

It's the little things like that which show him to be more than "elf god bent on destroying the world." And not even for the romance aspect. Just that hey, we've all been there. Power and plans aside, he's same as everyone else in the end.

Some people kinda like boob windows? I mean it's a fantasy stereotype and all, yes, but these things are also reflected in real life occasionally. (I don't like windows because I hate high necklines, but I wear a lot of v-necks and scoops, and occasionally keyhole tops in addition to t-shirts and stuff. As long as there are plenty of options, I don't see the issue. The issues tend to arise when the 'sexy' (usually as judged by straight men) is the only option available. Or armors and outfits are so blatantly and unequally gendered as to be ridiculous. But real people can and do choose similar styles, and even for their characters sometimes. The important word is "choose".

 

And it's a mod, so it's totally optional. There are a lot more options now, but that was available early and caught on.

 

Reminds me of one of the biggest gripes I have with watching Sword Art Online. I know that anime can be ridiculous a lot of the time, but it irked me that while (most of) the guys were in heavy armour, nearly all the women seemed to be wearing pinafores and hoop skirts in a medieval fantasy MMO?

I have a sneaking suspicious that it probably belonged to Solas. It seems far to convenient that Solas is only able to give us a partial  translation of what the text says meaning he's probably omitting something and that Solasan translates to both "A Prideful Place" and "Solas' loveshack place".

First Trespasser playthrough, I'd maxed out Cole's approval, so didn't expect to see any more from him. Then you choose that dialogue option, and all the other companions disapproved (I imagine Cassandra and Dorian were like, "Oh, honey, not again...")... except for Cole, who gives a whopping "Cole Greatly Approves." I laughed and my heart melted at the same time.

 

Knowing that Weekes (an English Major!) did it himself because he really wanted that "Easter Egg" in there makes me appreciate it all the more!
