Oh! Okay! I, uh, just took a screenshot of it then I cropped it.

 

First press the "Print Screen" (Prt Sc) key (if you're on Windows), which takes a shot of your entire screen. Then open a program like Paint or Photoshop. Open a new blank canvas then press CTRL+V to paste the screenshot you just took. Since you just want to show a shot of a particular area and not the whole screen, you'll need to crop it. Both Paint and Photoshop have a crop tool for you to crop the image with.

 

Er, I hope that explanation has been some sort of help for you. ^__^;

Yeah I do agree with the whole baldness thing.
Plus I do find that some bald people can pull the look off and be reeeeally sexy. Solas is one of them   

I'm somewhat ok with the idea of him having hair when he was younger and rebel, long hair sure, not too fond of the dreadlocks but hey, w/e - since this seems to be a thing now I sort of accept dreadlock art of young Solas.
But not the mods who change him..  like you can "color" his scalp brown so it looks like he has a brown stubble on his head.. or the mod where he looks like Thranduil.. that's a big no, wtf, I don't want Thranduil, I want Solas

I appreciate mods who make the model look better while having a character still be realistically similar to the original.. like you know, tweaking a bit the eyebrows or removing parts of texture that look weird (like the weird outline under his brow) - he still looks like Solas after that. Just better.
Or the Cullen mod with messy hair, he looks SO sexy with it but still looks like Cullen cause it's still his hair.. etc etc.

Changing completely is a no-no.

As for the egg, I don't think it's offensive as it is meant in a very affectionate way as people have said. I don't think he would be offended if the intentions of the person who says it are sweet. I like nicknames who bring out some negative (?) feature and try to make it into something cute.. I like them in real life too For instance I walk funnily at times and my BF nicknamed me "penguin", the nickname was after a negative feature of mine but now I really like it and am actually happy to be called that.

Re: Unhygienic bones don't worry its not a bone taken straight from a corpse and just vaguely scraped of most stuff. Any bone worn like that would have gone through all the various processes people do for cleaning and preserving. Even then if a bone has no soft tissue on it has been out in the open and doesn't smell its pretty clean, rare to get diseases from bones like that. Still advocate proper cleaning and preservation process tho obviously. At any rate also its ancient arlathan where fountains sang and elves walked on rivers of air. You can bet they had a magical way of doing the thing.

As for the Solas mods, I don't think I've seen any that I like, except maybe that one that gives him a big scar and smokey eyes, though I realize that big ugly scars are just one of my... things... that I like on characters, and has nothing to do with Solas. Which is why I'd never put it on him. The only companion mods I have in my game, are the one that takes the seams off of Cassandra's pants, because holy hell that's a lot of seams and she's not a hobo like Solas, and the one that makes Josephine's blouse cream-colored instead of gold.

I like Josie's blue and gold combination. It's very fitting. I normally don't like changing companion looks, but outfits are fine with me, depending. I don't really do it that often. And my one exception in this game might be the shorter hair mod for Sera, because it's cute. But I'll probably leave hers alone.

I don't think these two look alike. Solas has a much shorter chin. His eyes are firm and strong. Also his eyes don't pull up at the sides but rather down. His eyebrows are closer to his eyes. His cheekbones aren't that small. The nose is not so thin and not so boringly straight. The ears are bigger, the jaw is more masculine. All in all Solas looks more like a man and less feminine like this manga boy. Even considering the age difference, he cannot have looked so smooth a few years ago.

 

Also I mean the attitude. That manga boy is your typical sexy vampire. (And, yes, I stick with it, it is a vampire, not a wolf. A wolf might tear his prey to pieces, mouth bloodied in the process, but that's it. The manga boy tastes it instead, licks it off his lips with pleasure. That's vampire, not wolf.) Impish grin, blood feast for the fun of it. But Solas probably wasn't like that. He was more of a revolutionary, picking fights because he believed in change and the expected results. Not because he found it so sexy how red liquid would drip from his pointed tongue. Blood would have been a side effect and maybe dismissed, not cherished like a glass of fine wine.

 

I agree with the rest of this, but as far as the facial structure goes, it's possible that the artist just isn't sure of how to draw other faces. I know a lot of amateur artists tend to have a "template" face and body with deviations in hair/skin color/clothes/etc. It's a trap I still fall into a lot myself.

Very slight modifications, slightly different brows (that bizarrely make him somewhat more expressive) and a stronger shadow around his eyes that does interesting things to his face.

I too mostly modify outfits - I do use slight appearance tweak mods for some, but they tweak details rather than overhaul the look.

I honestly don't like any mods for Solas' complexion or appearance. Not even the ones that give him a bit of eyeliner or darker brows. They throw his beautiful perfect fact out of balance. Literally any modification to a single brow on his fair face throws it all out of whack.

Yeah, that's something that bugs me whenever people are like "Why couldn't BioWare have given him dreads?" or "I totally would've romanced Solas if he had hair!"

 

And it's like - they choose his look for a reason. Dreadlocks, sidecuts, even that gray buzzcut one design gave him, they were made as concept art and remain concept art because they don't match his character now. He's supposed to appear wise and sagacious, monk-like in his spirituality, and a little unassuming and plain. (And let's not forget that good ol' bald = evil stereoype.) None of the other concept designs really strike at that like his current one does. That's why they're concept designs. 

 

(As for the "well that's how we looked when he was younger" theory - I'm a little more accepting of that, but I still don't entirely like it, if only because I think dreadlocks and sidecuts look stupid. Also that wolf skull thing. God he should've been laughed out of Arlathan with that dumb skull accessory. Can you imagine how unhygenic that must be?)

 

Thank you!  My biggest pet-peeve about people who want to put dreads on Solas is it so does not fit his personality to me.  I can handle when it is imagined that he had Dreads when he was young but I hate the thought of him with dreads now.
