Hmm, Solas actually makes for a lovely color. It's definitely something I'd wear as an everyday sort of warm neutral. (I have dark brown hair and eyes so this would actually be pretty perfect for that purpose).

Hey is it possible for someone on here to help me with flycam? I have it installed I just can't get it to work. I'll go to run it as admin and I get this auto injection failed message. It says DragonAge.dll could not be found make sure its in the same folder as the .exe. It brings up the window for the flycam but not the black window. I really hope I'm making sense, finally got my pc and I feel like I can't play without this lol.

I found the most recent version of flycam to be broken for me. If you can try and find a previous version you should see if that works.
Heads up: if you don't want to engage in a lot of eye-rolling then I suggest staying out of the Felassan in DA4 thread.

Copying part of my post from another thread 'cause I'm lazy. I just did this quest again today.
Speculation about Solas' quest, "Measuring the Veil." Did he use this as a test to see if his artifacts could in fact be used to bring down the veil? If so, it seems to have worked, since that ginormous rift appeared where none had been before. Doesn't it seem odd that new rifts would appear with the Breach closed? Unless they had some help? Hmmm.....
New rifts likely appear either way, because the Breach itself has caused ripples across the Veil - it undermined the whole construct's strength and integrity, hence the rifts can appear more frequently across Thedas. We do know that the rifts and spots where the Veil has been weaker existed long before the Breach (including one on the spot where Telana in JOH has died) and one of the first things Solas says in the game is that it's possible to create rifts if enough magic is brought to bear.
Therefore I'm not convinced that Solas uses the devices to rip the Veil - I certainly think that he used them to study and measure it, because that knowledge would benefit him either way: whether he wants to fix it (during the time of Inquisition, where he certainly seemed focused on mending it) or tear it apart.
The rifts were there because of the Breach.
Remember that the Dalish mage Mihris also talks about the artifacts strengthening the Veil, and the fact Solas wants to repair the Breach and helps you do just that, including close the rifts, so more spirits wouldn't jarred or hurt and then corrupted into demons. He doesn't want a series of holes ripped into it, he seems to likely want to do whatever he's doing to bring it down, with great precision.
